Kaku looked at both of his now-destroyed Shirasaya katanas, then looked toward Gojo, who had cut through both of them with just a single strike of his sword. That alone clearly showed just how much strength was behind Gojo's slash. The realization filled him with dread.
He threw away the now half-cut Shirasaya katanas to the side. The broken blades clattered loudly against the stone floor of the hallway before skidding away into the distance.
Then he looked toward Gojo and muttered to himself, "I need to use a more powerful attack... a vastly more powerful attack, one that will be able to cut through that barrier around his body. I need to use one of my best attacks."
After thinking this, one move immediately came to his mind.
And in his humanoid giraffe form, Kaku could utilize that move with far more strength. The power behind that move would become even greater because of his current form.
Thinking of this, he immediately started moving.
Then, just like some kind of hip-hop dance move, he started rotating on his hands while his legs spun high above him like the blades of a helicopter. Dust and broken debris on the floor began getting pulled into the growing wind around him.
As more time passed, due to the long neck of the giraffe adding even more rotational force, his spinning speed increased drastically—more and more and more and more.
The air around him began to howl.
The entire hallway was soon filled with violently rotating wind, and even the loose stones and shattered pieces of the floor started trembling and lifting slightly into the air around his spinning body.
Gojo looked at Kaku performing this move. He knew that the attack Kaku was preparing to use on him would be one of his strongest attacks, and he wanted to see just how powerful it was going to be.
His hair and clothes fluttered violently due to the intense wind created from Kaku's extreme-speed spinning. The air in the hallway had become so chaotic that even chunks of broken stone and splinters of wood were circling around in the violent current.
Finally, when Kaku reached a certain point, he released his move—his most powerful one:
"Tempest Kick: Sky Slicer!"
A massive ring of compressed air formed around him, sharp enough to look almost visible, and it immediately started expanding outward at terrifying speed, with Gojo directly in its path.
The ring tore through the hallway.
It passed through the walls, pillars, ceiling, and everything else in its way as if they were nothing but paper. A deafening sound echoed through the entire Tower of Justice.
From outside the tower, a visible white flash appeared for a moment, and the entire floor of that section of the building was cut completely apart.
The whole structure trembled violently.
That part of the Tower of Justice was barely balanced at that point and looked like it might slide apart and collapse at any second.
The entire area was covered in falling debris from the ceiling and walls. Broken stone rained down everywhere, and thick dust filled the surroundings as the whole area around Kaku had been sliced apart by his attack.
Kaku slowly stopped spinning and stood straight once again, taking deep breaths.
His chest rose and fell heavily.
Clearly, that move had taken quite a lot out of him.
Still, despite his exhaustion, Kaku immediately looked ahead through the settling dust, wanting to see Gojo injured or at least pushed back.
But nothing of that sort had happened.
Gojo was completely fine.
He stood in the exact same spot as before, calm and motionless.
Not even a speck of dust had landed on his clothes.
It was as if everything around him had been completely isolated away from his body. The dust, debris, shattered stone, and even the air itself had never been able to touch him.
Everything had been stopped by Gojo's Limitless.
And even after Kaku had used his strongest attack, Gojo remained completely unharmed.
Gojo looked at Kaku and said, "Your attacks were really very impressive and creative. It seems that you have mastered Tempest Kick to a very high degree. You are probably either the person with the best mastery over Tempest Kick, or maybe the second best, I don't know. But you're really good."
Kaku listened intently while looking at Gojo.
But just as Gojo finished speaking, his figure suddenly faded like an after-image.
Kaku's eyes widened.
He realized immediately what had happened and wanted to avoid it, but before he was able to move even further, he suddenly felt something sharp pierce through his body.
The tip of a sword emerged from his chest.
Blood slowly dripped down from the blade.
Kaku looked down in shock at the sword tip protruding from the front of his chest, his breathing stopping for a moment.
Then Gojo's voice came from behind him.
Gojo was standing with his back facing Kaku's back, holding his sword in a reverse grip. The blade had entered through Kaku's back and pierced all the way through to the front of his chest.
The hallway had gone strangely quiet.
Only the sound of small pieces of broken stone falling from above and Kaku's rough breathing could be heard.
"Spandam is getting away, and I need to keep him under my watch. I don't know, but I am kind of having fun playing this cat-and-mouse game with him," Gojo said casually.
"It's like he finally gets hope that he has escaped, then I get to him, I get near him, and he starts crying and shouting. That's really funny."
Gojo gave a small chuckle.
Then, without any hesitation, he pulled the sword back out from Kaku's flesh.
A spray of blood came out as the blade slid free.
Kaku staggered slightly, his body trembling from the pain.
Gojo casually swung the sword once, removing the blood from the blade, and then sheathed it back onto his left side.
Without even looking back again, he immediately ran off in the direction Spandam had escaped, his footsteps quickly disappearing into the distance.
Kaku, with his mouth slightly open, fell face-first onto the ground.
"Damn... this old man lost..." he muttered weakly.
As soon as he collapsed, his humanoid giraffe form also disappeared, and his body transformed back into his normal long-nosed human form.
On the other side, Franky and Robin were locked inside a room adjacent to Spandam's office.
When Franky heard all the commotion coming from the next room, followed by it gradually subsiding, he immediately understood that something major had happened outside.
Earlier, Spandam had mockingly thrown the key in front of them, challenging them to free themselves if they could.
But Franky was a cyborg.
His stomach suddenly opened up, and from inside it, a mechanical hand extended outward. The hand reached toward the key lying on the floor, grabbed it, and pulled it back.
Soon, Franky managed to free himself and Robin.
Franky immediately looked toward Robin and said, "Let's go. Maybe this is our chance to escape."
Before Robin could even resist or think too much about it, Franky grabbed hold of her, and the two of them quickly ran out of the room.
The moment they entered the next room, both of them froze for a second.
What they saw was as if pure destruction itself had passed through the office.
Jabra was lying on the floor against the wall, barely conscious. There was a massive wound running from his chest down toward his abdomen, and blood was still flowing from it.
He had already lost consciousness.
In the center of the room, the floor was completely destroyed. Huge cracks spread across the stone surface, while broken chunks of rock and shattered debris were scattered everywhere.
The windows had been shattered completely.
The large office table was broken apart into pieces, mixed with shattered glass and splintered wood all over the floor.
Even sections of the walls and ceiling had cracks.
The room looked less like an office and more like the aftermath of a battlefield.
Clearly, a massive fight had happened here, and it seemed that these CP9 agents had been completely overwhelmed.
After seeing this, even Robin slowly started feeling hope rising inside her chest.
Without wasting any more time, both Robin and Franky immediately left the area.
