After getting permission to cook, I smiled at Junhao and thanked him wholeheartedly.
I ran in the direction I thought was the kitchen, but before I could go far, Junhao shouted, "The kitchen is on the other side!" I stopped, feeling a bit embarrassed, and smiled at him sheepishly. He led me toward the kitchen, knowing I had lost my memories. I guess now everyone knew that.
When we entered, I was shocked. The kitchen was enormous! This whole house was simply marvelous-l still hadn't explored it completely. The kitchen had almost everything I could think of, but one thing made me think twice about the idea of cooking... there was no stove. Why on earth did I think there would be a stove? Well, that certainly proved I am an idiot. But still I will cook because for me cooking is like therapy and I need one at this point. There's so much to think about our handsome hunk and my upcoming future.
The kitchen helpers were on edge because of my arrival. They still seemed to think I might harm them. Honestly, I couldn't understand why the original lady of the house was so spoiled.
Xiaomei came toward me and asked, "What do you want to cook, madam?"
I turned toward her and replied, "Actually, I saw a dream last night. There was this delicious dish sitting on a table. It smelled heavenly and tasted even better. So I thought... why not try making it?"
Junhao stayed at the doorway, watching us. I was pretty sure he wa↓ here to make sure I didn't burn the entire kitchen down.Xiaomei asked again, "So... what ingredients do you need, madam?"
I looked around the kitchen carefully and said with a smile, "Flour, potatoes, and red chilies."
The confused look on Xiaomei's face made my heart sink. She glanced at me, then at Junhao. He stepped forward and positioned himself between us.
He said, "You can have flour... but the other two things you mentioned... I've never even heard of them."
I shouted, "What?!"
No potatoes. No chilies.
There went my alo ka paratha.
