The moment we immersed ourselves in the song and the script, time seemed to slip by unnoticed, almost sneaking past us.

Our attention had been completely absorbed, only the completion of the song registered in our minds. We had reached the point where the composition felt finished, every note and word seemingly in place.

The song felt complete, perfect even, at least to me. We had repeated the lyrics enough times to hear every nuance.
There was no space, no missing piece that needed to be added. To my mind, adding another stanza would be unnecessary, possibly overcomplicating what had already worked.
