As the night fell, Silva bunked up on one of the beds in the large room of the big house. According to Chiron, before the camp was properly made with cabins for each pantheons, there was only a small space for the disciples of Chiron to stay in. Silva was currently sleeping on one of the modernised rooms of camp that Chiron had kept due to feeling nostalgic of his old times.
But as Silva laid down on the bed to sleep, he felt as if something was not right. After turning around in the bed for two hours, Silva got up and decided to deal with the itch he was feeling right now.
He used the skills he learned from Pan to hide himself using the power of nature. Right now, to everyone's senses he will feel the same as the forests around him and nothing more. Perfect for infiltrations, but assassination is tricky as people will be able to sense him if he gives out any intense emotion.
But right now, this was enough for him to move through the camp without alerting the guarding nature spirits and the campers patrolling through the grounds.
As Silva began moving through the camp, he realised what had been pulling him all this while, as it did not take him long to stand in front of the Artemis cabin within the camp. It appeared to be locked and from what he knew, was one of the most formidable cabins within the camp. Even the Hermes kids who had sneaked into the cabins of Zeus and Poseidon once or twice had never even had the courage to enter this cabin.
As he touched the door, it opened suddenly without making a single sound. Silva was startled for a moment and then he realised his spiked emotions had brought him out of his camouflage. Knowing that there are people having rounds nearby, he acted on instinct and immediately went inside the room while carefully closing the door behind him.
At the same time, a few thousand miles away.
Zoe looked at in worry as her goddess once again sat down while looking at the same direction she had for the last five years. Zoe knew where she was looking, at the same place where she had the battle with the ancient beast five years ago, the same day since her liege had an expression of cold and sadness in her face all the time that she made sure to mask with a look of indifference. Most of the hunters had already realised how much the liege was trying to mask her true feelings, but they were powerless to do anything at all.
Zoe felt this powerlessness the most as she watched her liege who had not slept for the last five years. Artemis was a goddess yes, but even gods needed to rest as it is a part of their life. but Zoe and the other hunters knew that their goddess had not slept a wink as they periodically has someone monitoring her constantly.
As Zoe was contemplating whether to finally confront her liege about it while preparing to hear cold words or earn punishment in return, Artemis stood up with her eyes widened in surprise.
The sudden change in their goddess was seen by many of the hunters as they took up their weapons while spreading their senses to look for any threats nearby. But at the same time, a few of the hunters who had lost their loved ones in their lives manged to recognise the expression shown by Artemis in their face right now. They didn't want to think about it, but they knew deep inside that it was the look of a mother who had found her child.
Zoe was one of the oldest hunters in the group, the few who were with Artemis longer than her can only be counted in one hand. As a person with centuries of experience with saving women in trouble told her everything she needed to know about what had saddened her goddess by this much.
At the same time all the questions that came along with it was answered as well. If her liege had a child and if that child were a mortal, the child will be the target of many who would not hesitate to pull all stops to use him for their own gains.
"My Liege…" Zoe wanted to speak but was suddenly stopped by Artemis who raised her palm while closing her eyes, understanding that Artemis needed to concentrate, immediately motioned the entire hunters to be silent.
At the time back in camp.
Even though he had the compass form Hecate, the travels done to reach camp half blood was extremely taxing for a five-year-old body even though it was enhanced by the power Silva had absorbed from nature.
The moment he entered the Artemis cabin; he felt that the feeling of irritation he had earlier gone and one look at one of the beds made him want to lay down and sleep. Feeling extremely tired, Silva laid down on one of the beds and immediately fell asleep.
As soon as he did, a spectre appeared on the corner of the room. She glowed in silver color while having a set of bow and arrows on her back.
Artemis used her magic to appear on her cabin, as it was her domain like every other cabin being the domain of their respective gods. She slowly walked towards the only occupied bed in the room.
As she watched Silva sleeping in the bed, a wave of extreme relief passed right through her. After the day she had abandoned her child, she had felt his presence vanish from the forest completely. She was scared, but at the same time chained by the fact that any action she takes will only make it even riskier for her child if he was not in that much trouble right now.
She was not able to relax even for a single moment as she was worried about his whereabouts and his conditions.
But right now, seeing him sleeping without any worry brought peace to her mind. She tried to touch him with her hands but found out that it passed directly through him without making any sort of contact.
Artemis frowned, but as she was about to summon herself into the cabin.
'I would not advice that my dear half-sister, your arrival here will make sure that the boy's identity will be known to almost every single dark force trying to take us down.'
'Dionysus' Artemis recognised who was speaking to her.
