Chapter 32:My Sweet Flower
Toru and Lily.A delightful couple.Their love was unmatched and unbreakable.Nobody could shatter the bond between the two.
Toru grew up in the forest and had a lot of lumber jacks in his family while Lily came from a posh and important family from england.
Some place in Russia,Lily came with her family to meet another important family and the other important family had lumberjacks to collect wood.
Toru was one of them.When they were both young at the time,they communicated in secret.
If anyone from either of the families(INCLUDING THE LUMBERJACKS)found out that they were talking then they would be punished and Lily's side might have their reputation ruined.
Very strict rules not just in Japan but the world.The 1600s was quite the century.The war of fury had taken place mid century and that was the era where Kitsunes mainly roamed.Toru and Lily were both born shortly after the war in two separate places.They were soulmates.Destined to be together.
While Lily was as sweet as a flower,Toru was the complete opposite. In the desolate depths of the forest,he had to chop wood every day with an axe. He had to hunt for his own food.Killing rabbits,foxes,deers and more wildlife.His family destroyed nature and that was the opposite of what Lily wanted. So when they first met they exchanged both of their troubles.Toru was all alone,so was Lily.They felt complete together.
Unfortunately,both sides of the family found out because of an anonymous snitch.They were STRICTLY FORBIDDEN NOT TO SEE EACH OTHER.They ignored the warning.Each met consequences.Toru's Father set higher expectations for Toru.
No talking unless spoken to
Eat every single bit of the food you are given
Chop down the right amount of trees
The list went on and on and on.Even a wrong movement would lead to Toru getting beat by his Dad.
As for Lily,her expectations were slightly less strict but she had to follow direct orders and be on her best behaviour.
Lily this Toru that!Both of them thought they have reached hell.And they had nobody now.
After they both turned 18 they agreed to meet again in Russia.The two caught up on their lives and ran away from their families.They secretly got married but Toru began to have nightmares.Lily took him to the hospital but there wasn't any medication for it.
He got strong and learned a wielding technique called tool wielding.The ability to turn parts of yourself into tools. His nightmares got so bad he began to kill people and he got addicted.
Lily knew about this but she didn't want to report her husband to the police about his crimes so she stayed silent and supported him.
Chief Lenny later found out about this and arrested Toru for illegal assassinations.Lily fortunately saved up enough money to free him but..she fell sick. He started to kill again for money for medication but he realised this was morally wrong and he stopped.Toru did as much as he could in order to become a doctor because he believed that the doctors in the world wouldn't be smart enough to save Lily. He overprotected her. He did everything for her.Year after year. He worked hard but couldn't combine the right chemicals together. It just wasn't possible at the time.
There wasn't enough knowledge or technology in order to do such a thing.
The doctors didn't know what sickness Lily had.That was the moment Toru distrusted them.But he represents determination and hard work.
Despite all his pain, he never gave up and he never will.After searching the world,the two travelled to Japan in Okinawa. An ideal location right by the beach.
Chief Lenny called them over to inspect the wall in Okinawa and they were already headed there anyways.
That lead up to the present.They still search for a cure.
Everybody has a goal in life.
Everybody is born with purpose and if you think you don't have one,then you just haven't found it yet.
