Chapter 67 - Chapter 66 - A new trainer takes on the Kikuka Sho, Part 2

"The unveiling at the Kikuka Sho paddock began, and the first to appear was Meek.

'Starting gate 1, Happy Meek'

I stared intently at Meek, who was dressed in her custom racing uniform, and nodded.

(She seems to be in good form... and her body's well-conditioned.)

'As expected of Kiryuin-san,' I muttered to myself. Meek is a talented Umamusume who can run on both turf and dirt, and she isn't limited by distance. Since she competed in the Satsuki Sho and the Japan Derby, it was natural for her to enter the Kikuka Sho, the final race of the Triple Crown.

'Starting gate 4, Seiun Sky'

Next, I checked on Seiun Sky. She seemed a bit off in the Japan Derby, but...

(...Hmm? This is...)

She doesn't seem to be in bad form. No, she looks to be in great form, but I can't quite read her.

Seiun Sky is waving to the crowd with a dazed expression, but contrary to her face, I feel a certain confidence, or something...

'Urara, is she always like that?'

'Sky-chan? Yeah, that's her!'

It seems this is her usual self. But Urara wouldn't speak ill of a friend... Her expression is indeed dazed, but she gives off an unknown, scary vibe.

'Starting gate 7, Biwa Hayahide'

Next, I checked on Biwa Hayahide. As usual, she has a large, well-built frame, and she seems even bigger than the last time I saw her.

'She's bigger than she was before...'

As I muttered this, for some reason, Biwa Hayahide's gaze turned toward me. When our eyes met, I tilted my head, and she tilted her head back.

She seems to be in good form, and her body is perfectly conditioned.

'Starting gate 9, King Halo'

And next, I checked on... or rather, my attention was drawn to King. King stood tall and proud, looking at the spectators with a confident air. But...

'She's really in it...'

'Can she run a long-distance race?'

'I'm sure she's a sprinter.'

The shouts of confusion were louder than the cheers. Hearing the voices around me, I locked eyes with King and nodded while crossing my arms. In response, King smiled gently, pinched the hem of her skirt, and bowed.

Yeah, she doesn't seem to be overthinking it, and her nerves seem just right. There don't appear to be any problems.

'Starting gate 10, Winning Ticket'

This girl, too... looks to be in good form. She's smiling brightly and flashing a peace sign at the spectators. She has a different kind of brightness than Urara—like a cheerful sports girl.

Not only is she in good form, but her body is also well-conditioned. It's as if she and the other Umamusume have been diligently preparing for the Kikuka Sho.

'Starting gate 16, Oguri Cap'

Oguri Cap is as dazed as ever... no, wait? She's not. She's looking serious and has a strained expression on her face.

(Her form is... not great, but not bad either. Her conditioning seems good, but...)

With her usual dazed expression, she would have been hard to read, but this time is different. I let out a low 'hmm' as Oguri Cap, who was clearly straining, appeared in the paddock.

I thought she was a top contender for the Kikuka Sho, alongside Special Week, but she might be a bit questionable.

'Starting gate 17, Special Week'

And next was Special Week. She had a bright smile on her face and seemed full of motivation. Her body is in great shape, and she will be a formidable opponent. She's at a level where she could win the Kikuka Sho, following her Japan Derby victory.

Her speed, stamina, and grit are all on par with, or even better than, King's.

'Starting gate 18, Narita Taishin'

The last one I checked was Narita Taishin... but.

(Her form looks... bad... Her body's conditioning isn't bad, but she seems a little lackluster compared to the others...)

She's an Oikomi-style Umamusume who overtakes a whole group of runners near the end of the race, but she seems to lack her usual fire. She isn't focused, she doesn't seem motivated... It could be an act, but I don't see her as a threat.

However, she might just be putting on a show and could unleash an incredible performance in the actual race. I can't let my guard down.

'Rice, who would you mark?'

As I watched King approach, I casually asked Rice. Rice pondered for a moment before answering.

'If Rice was running today... it would be Biwa Hayahide-san, I think? Also, for some reason, Seiun Sky-san feels scary.'

'Hmm...'

If Rice were to mark someone today, I'd also say Biwa Hayahide. Special Week seems like a good choice, too, but Biwa Hayahide feels just slightly more menacing.

The reason I didn't mention King is because both Rice and I adore her... but that's just a front. Another reason is that Biwa Hayahide's body seems better conditioned than King's.

(Hmm... A big body really is a talent, isn't it? Even if they say size doesn't matter for an Umamusume, Biwa Hayahide's physique looks more solid...)

But even so, King will win. I believed that, and I welcomed King, who was walking toward me beyond the paddock fence.

'Well then, I'm off.'

'Alright, go on. Don't get injured, have fun running, and win.'

I said the same things to King that I usually say to Urara. There was nothing more I could do. I smiled and spoke to her, hoping to ease her nerves.

'King-chan, do your best!'

'If it gets tough during the race, remember the training you did with Rice?'

'Thank you, Urara-san. As for Rice-san's... hehe, that will surely give me strength.'

Urara gave her a pure cheer, and Rice gave her a pep talk, while King smiled with a look of joy.

And with that, the curtain rose on the Kikuka Sho.

'It begins under a clear autumn sky. Kyoto Racecourse, Race 11. The 3000-meter turf race, the final destination of the Triple Crown. G1 Kikuka Sho. The track conditions are announced as good.'

'Finally, the last G1 race of the Triple Crown is about to begin. Today... no, today again, Kyoto Racecourse is at full capacity. The weather is clear, but with an autumnal pleasantness and the temperature isn't too high. I'd say it's an excellent climate for the Umamusume to run in.'

The fanfare echoed through the Kyoto Racecourse, and the announcers began speaking.

We moved from the paddock to the stands and waited for the race to begin from the front row.

The Kikuka Sho is a 3000-meter race on a right-handed, outer course, with a peculiar starting point on the opposite side of the track, just before the Yodo hill. It's a course layout that causes a fierce drain on stamina right from the start.

'Starting gate 1, Happy Meek. She's the 5th favorite.'

'She finished 14th in the Satsuki Sho, but 5th in the Japan Derby, so she's steadily gaining strength. We can expect a good run from her.'

As each Umamusume entered their gate, a brief introduction was made. The spectators cheered for the Umamusume whose name was called, but the volume of the cheers changed depending on their popularity... Well, I guess that's to be expected.

Meek is the 5th favorite, so she must have a high rating from the fans. She enters the gate with a determined look, as if saying 'Hmph!'... but.

(What in the world are those shoes that look like baguettes...)

It's been bothering me for a while, but the shoes Meek wears look like baguettes. It's a bit strange, but she doesn't have any trouble running in them; in fact, she seems to run well. They're a mystery. Well, an Umamusume's power is drawn out when she wears her custom uniform. I guess it's nothing new.

'Starting gate 7, Biwa Hayahide. She's the 3rd favorite.'

'Hmm, she's in great condition. She might have grown even bigger since the Japan Derby, where she finished 4th. Her physique has also been well-conditioned... Oh? Is she looking at me?'

Biwa Hayahide entered her gate since it was an odd-numbered one. However, upon hearing the announcer's words, she stopped and stared at the broadcasting booth from a distance, as if to intimidate them.

The handler eventually pushed Biwa Hayahide into the gate, but she continued to stare at the booth even after she was in.

'Starting gate 9, King Halo. She's the 8th favorite.'

'This is the Umamusume who won the Sprinters Stakes the other day. However, because she won the Sprinters Stakes, there must have been doubts about her long-distance aptitude. Her popularity has dropped compared to the races she's run so far.'

King's name was called, and cheers flew from the stands. But at the same time, boos were also heard. This was probably in protest of her running in the Kikuka Sho a month after winning the Sprinters Stakes. If so, the boos are aimed at me, not King. So, no problem.

'Starting gate 17, Special Week. She's the 1st favorite.'

'As expected of the Derby Umamusume, she's the undisputed 1st favorite. She looked to be in good form in the paddock, and we can expect a great performance from her in this race as well.'

The starting point is on the opposite side of the track, but Special Week waved to the stands with a bright and cheerful smile before entering the gate. The spectators were ecstatic, and a tsunami of cheers was released for her.

After all, a Derby-winning Umamusume is special. Just like how Rice, who prevented Mihono Bourbon from winning the Triple Crown undefeated last year, was booed. High popularity can be a double-edged sword.

'Starting gate 4, Seiun Sky. She's the 6th favorite.'

'She finished out of the money in the Japan Derby but came in 5th in the Satsuki Sho. She's a popular runaway-style Umamusume. We're looking forward to seeing what kind of running she'll show today.'

Seiun Sky entered her gate, waving her right hand gently at the stands. Her steps were light, and I nodded from a distance.

(Rice said Seiun Sky felt scary for some reason... She certainly has a dazed atmosphere, but I wonder what kind of run she'll show...)

I've also studied Seiun Sky, and she's definitely a talented runner. What kind of performance she'll give in the long-distance Kikuka Sho race is something I'm curious about.

'Starting gate 10, Winning Ticket. She's the 4th favorite.'

'She was defeated by Special Week and Oguri Cap in the Japan Derby, but she finished 3rd. We're looking forward to what kind of run she'll show us this time.'

Winning Ticket energetically waved her hands at the stands and entered the gate. The spectators were delighted by her gesture and cheered.

According to my research, she's a bright and positive girl, although her emotions can be a little volatile, and she's very dedicated to racing and training. She seems like a fun girl to train.

'Starting gate 16, Oguri Cap. She's the 2nd favorite.'

'The Satsuki Sho Umamusume and 2nd place in the Japan Derby. She's expected to place in the top ranks again, so she's very popular.'

Oguri Cap didn't do any special performance for the crowd. She entered the gate, radiating a palpable intensity even from a distance.

Oguri Cap is strong in mile and middle-distance races, but her long-distance abilities are still unknown. She probably has the stamina to run the 3000 meters of the Kikuka Sho, but I wonder what kind of performance she'll show.

'Starting gate 18, Narita Taishin. She's the 7th favorite.'

'This girl is also a very talented Umamusume. However, she's finished out of the money in both the Satsuki Sho and the Japan Derby. She finished 6th after a close race with Happy Meek in the Japan Derby, so she'll probably aim for a higher placement in this race.'

Narita Taishin... as I thought, she seems to lack her usual fire. Her body is in decent condition, but she doesn't seem motivated or passionate...

(Is this one of those cases where some girls get better and better after they enter the Classic class, while others don't improve as much as expected?)

When I first saw a video of her racing, I thought she was a good runner. She should be much better by now... Maybe she's lost her motivation and passion? If that's the case, as an Umamusume...

While I was thinking about that, the spectators became quiet as if they sensed the start of the race. The excitement for the race was palpable, and the noise slowly but surely disappeared.

'All Umamusume are in their gates--and they're off!'

A few seconds after silence fell over the Kyoto Racecourse, the gates opened with a bang. All the Umamusume burst out at once and ran up the Yodo hill in front of them.

'All the Umamusume got a clean start. And the first to break out is 4, Seiun Sky. 3, Early Sprout, and 8, Sax Rhythm follow and take second place. Next are 1, Happy Meek, 7, Biwa Hayahide, 17, Special Week, 5, Encoder, 16, Oguri Cap, and 11, Eastern Diner.'

'3000 meters is a long race, so they'll probably each run at their own pace.'

'And following them are 9, King Halo, 2, Royal Tartan, 10, Winning Ticket, 15, Chauffeur Rhythm, 13, Superior Bloom, and 14, Speechless Hack. And running near the back are 6, Rhythmical Leap, 12, At One Mile, and 18, Narita Taishin.'

No Umamusume was left behind. The lineup for today's Kikuka Sho is nicely spread out, with three runners leading, six in the front group, six in the middle group, and three in the rear group.

King is in the lead of the middle group, in 10th place, but the race has just begun. There's no need to rush.

'4, Seiun Sky takes the lead and is flying ahead. Her lead is already 3 to 4 lengths. Following her, 3, Early Sprout, and 8, Sax Rhythm are competing for second. Behind them, 1, Happy Meek, 7, Biwa Hayahide, and 17, Special Week are fighting for 4th place.'

'2nd favorite Oguri Cap seems to be running more calmly than usual. She's probably saving her energy for the long Kikuka Sho.'

As the commentator said, 3000 meters is truly long. The fact that an Umamusume can run it in just over three minutes truly shows their incredible physical abilities.

'Seiun Sky passes the 4th corner and enters the home stretch. She's currently in a solo run with a lead of 5 to 6 lengths over the 2nd place runner. But will this pace last until the end?'

'Speaking of a big runaway, Twin Turbo managed to escape from Tokai Teio in the All Comers the other day. However, the Kikuka Sho is 3000 meters. She'll have to slow down at some point or she won't be able to last until the end.'

The Kyoto Racecourse's inner and outer courses are mostly flat, except for the steep inclines before and after the Yodo hill. The 4.3-meter elevation difference of the Yodo hill is tough, but she could save her energy in the other areas.

However, Seiun Sky is continuing to run as if she's forgotten to save energy.

'Big cheers are flying for the Umamusume as they run through the home stretch. The 1st favorite, Special Week, is in 5th place. The 2nd favorite, Oguri Cap, is in 8th place, and the 3rd favorite, Biwa Hayahide, is in 6th place, waiting for their chance to move up.'

'Seiun Sky just passed the 1000-meter mark. The time is 59.4 seconds, which is a fast pace. With 2000 meters left, how long will she be able to keep it up?'

'Seiun Sky, who just passed the 1000-meter mark, has a lead of 7 lengths over 2nd place. The gap between her and the last runner is about 16 to 18 lengths. The race is starting to spread out vertically.'

While the announcers were speaking, Seiun Sky continued to move forward. She passed the straight and entered the first corner, running the shortest distance with a beautiful form.

(A good run... It's nothing compared to her run in the Japan Derby.)

Seiun Sky is running in the lead and seems to have plenty of energy left. But the race isn't even half over yet.

I observed King's running style, and she also seemed to have plenty of energy. She wasn't swayed by Seiun Sky's fast pace and was maintaining her own pace.

(Good, that's it. Seiun Sky's fast pace won't last until the end... so she can close the gap then.)

I nodded. If she could run at that pace from start to finish, even Rice wouldn't be able to beat her. It's impossible to continue running at that pace. So, her speed will inevitably slow down... The runners behind her will be waiting for that opportunity.

When she finally slows down, it will probably be around the Yodo hill. The outcome of the race will be determined by how much the gap is closed by then.

'Seiun Sky is still in the lead at a light pace. She's passing the 2nd corner and heading toward the opposite side of the track. She'll soon finish the first lap and start the second.'

'Wow, that's a really good pace. However, she ran out of energy and was caught in the latter half of the Japan Derby. The real race starts now.'

'Oh, the runners behind her are starting to close the gap as they're about to start the second lap. They're slowly but surely shortening the distance to Seiun Sky. However, she still has a lead of more than 5 lengths over 2nd place.'

She must be getting tired from running at such a fast pace. The other runners have also increased their pace, but the gap is slowly, very slowly, beginning to shrink.

'And now, we've come to the second Yodo hill. Seiun Sky reaches it first and starts to climb. If she slows down here, she'll be in trouble, but... oh? Seiun Sky is climbing it with ease.'

'Wow...? Her pace isn't slowing down as much as I thought. In fact, the runners who accelerated just before the hill seem to be having a harder time climbing it.'

'But here they come! Special Week, as expected, is here! She's climbing the Yodo hill fiercely, chasing Seiun Sky! Biwa Hayahide is also following suit! Happy Meek and Oguri Cap are also following!'

Seiun Sky, who had completely abandoned her dazed atmosphere from before the race, was climbing the Yodo hill while sweating profusely and gritting her teeth. I felt her determination and leaned forward to watch her closely.

(I thought she was a free-spirited Umamusume... but she has great grit. I like that girl... I bet she'd be fun to train, too.)

I thought this, but my gaze immediately shifted away from Seiun Sky. It was because I saw King running up the Yodo hill as if it was nothing, from even further behind the runners who were accelerating to catch Seiun Sky.

Her expression was desperate. Her posture was diligent. And she was overflowing with the fighting spirit that said, 'There's no way I'm going to lose.'

In a long-distance race, which is her biggest disadvantage, King was slowly moving up in position, using her hard work as her weapon.

'And now, they've passed the Yodo hill and the 800-meter mark! Seiun Sky is still in the lead! Seiun Sky! But the runners behind her are steadily catching up!'

'Once they get past the downhill of the 3rd corner, it's just a flat course. The real race starts now.'

'The leading Seiun Sky is going down the Yodo hill! Biwa Hayahide has moved up to 2nd with a 4-length gap! Special Week and Happy Meek are right behind her! And King Halo, who was in the middle group, has accelerated with the downhill! She's now caught up to the front runners, having passed three Umamusume at once! Following King Halo, Winning Ticket is also moving up!'

King accelerated the moment she passed the 800-meter mark and hit the downhill. In fact, the overall speed of the runners was increasing despite the corner.

However, even though King accelerated, the distance to the front runner is still long. The problem is how much energy Seiun Sky has left...

'Seiun Sky passes the 3rd corner and enters the 4th corner! She's passed the 600-meter mark and is still in the lead! The runners behind her are trying to catch up, but the gap remains 4 lengths! No, it's getting bigger! ... Huh? It's getting bigger?! Seiun Sky's lead has increased to 5 lengths!'

'Wow... what an incredible runaway... She didn't seem to have saved any energy along the way...'

The distance didn't shrink despite the acceleration. Realizing that the lead had instead grown, the expression on Biwa Hayahide's face, who was chasing Seiun Sky, became grim.

(...She's incredible.)

I couldn't help but mutter in admiration. What Seiun Sky did was simple: she accelerated at the same time as the runners behind her, and while they were slowing down, she maintained her acceleration and widened the gap.

And when the runners behind her realized that the gap wasn't shrinking, but had grown, she slowed down and took a breather while they were surprised. It's something that can only be done with the courage to predict what the runners behind her will think after seeing her run and then to act on it.

However...

'But in the meantime, King Halo is moving up! And Oguri Cap is also accelerating! Winning Ticket is also moving up!'

The Umamusume who were running at their own pace, or even further behind the group fighting for 2nd place like Biwa Hayahide and Special Week, didn't care and were still accelerating. Or rather, they didn't notice what Seiun Sky had done.

What Seiun Sky did worked on people like Biwa Hayahide who were thinking, 'I'm going to accelerate now and pass Seiun Sky.' When they accelerated and saw the gap widen, the surprise must have been great.

It didn't work on King and the others, who were looking at the runners they were about to pass instead of focusing on Seiun Sky.

'But Biwa Hayahide has accelerated even more! She's making her move as she passes the 4th corner and enters the final stretch! Special Week is also picking up speed!'

But if they were going to give up because of that, they wouldn't be at a level where they could even compete in the Kikuka Sho. Biwa Hayahide and Special Week's running only wavered for a few seconds, and they immediately recovered.

'And now! Each Umamusume is rushing into the home stretch! Seiun Sky is still in the lead! Will she be able to escape to victory?! Or will the runners behind her catch up?!'

With 400 meters left, the Umamusume are all in top gear, aiming for the front. The spectators in the stands slowly began to stand up and cheer for the Umamusume on the course.

'Go! King! Pass her!'

Of course, I was also shouting. I shouted at the top of my lungs for King, who had moved up to 5th place.

'Do your best! King-chan, do your best!'

'Do your best, King-chan! You're almost there!'

I was shouting while banging on the fence, and Urara was shouting with her fists clenched. Rice was cupping her hands in front of her mouth like a megaphone and shouting.

'There's less than 300 meters left! Seiun Sky is still on the run! But slowly, slowly! The gap is shrinking! Biwa Hayahide, Special Week, King Halo, Oguri Cap, Happy Meek! And Winning Ticket is also moving up! The last one is Narita Taishin! She's far away, but can she catch up?!'

The Seiun Sky at the front no longer has the energy she had in the middle of the race. She's sweating from all over her body, not just her forehead, and running desperately with a face that screams 'do or die.'

Her run is like a complete combustion of her life and soul. She's passed the wall of a Classic-class Umamusume and transcended her limits, still running toward the finish line.

'--!'

Her powerful run almost captivated me, her trainer. But precisely because she was such a formidable opponent, I wanted King to win.

'Do your best! King! Go! Go!'

I shouted at King's back as she ran away toward the goal. I was shouting with all my might, hoping to give her a little push.

But I wasn't the only one shouting. The spectators were all desperately cheering for the Umamusume they were supporting. The cheers were so loud that my ears almost went deaf.

'They've passed the 200-meter mark! The goal is close! Biwa Hayahide is moving up! And King Halo! Special Week and Oguri Cap are also accelerating, but what about them?! Happy Meek and Winning Ticket are also moving up, but can they make it?!'

The Umamusume who had reached their top speed were running, trying to get ahead even by a little bit, trying to pass just one more person.

'I don't want to lose to other Umamusume.'

'I'm the best.'

'I want to beat that girl.'

'I don't want to lose to that girl.'

Those feelings were coming through. They were running, competing, and just running straight toward the finish line.

And the one leading right before the goal was--Seiun Sky, still in the lead.

'Now! Seiun Sky escapes to victory with a 3-length lead! This year's Kikuka Sho Umamusume is Seiun Sky! Seiun Sky! A bolt of lightning ran through the sky!'

'I can't believe she was able to keep up that pace until the very end... No, it's just unbelievable...'

The announcer's voice was filled with excitement, and the commentator's voice sounded stunned. I clenched my teeth and held back my frustration.

Seiun Sky, who had run past the finish line, didn't fall over, but she knelt on the course, breathing heavily. She was coughing repeatedly as if her throat was dry, and the corners of her mouth were cut and bleeding.

Seeing her like that, I understood that she had given it her all to win. But I was still so frustrated, so frustrated--until I looked at the order board and my frustration flew away.

'H-hahaha... what in the world is that...'

I couldn't help but laugh when I saw the time Seiun Sky had posted. No, all I could do was laugh.

'The finishing order has been confirmed. 1st place is 4, Seiun Sky. The winning time is... huh?'

The announcer's voice trailed off. It was a mix of surprise, as if he had seen something unbelievable, and a dazed resonance.

'M-my apologies! 1st place is 4, Seiun Sky! The winning time is 3:02.3! 3:02.3! It's a record! No, it's a world record!'

A moment of silence. And then, a roar of cheers erupted.

'Oh, w-wow... ahem, my apologies... it's not a miscalculation... 3:02.3, is it... Uh, this is... the race record, no, the course record... My mind's not working right now... Seiun Sky, did she beat the race record by over 2 seconds? Huh? Is that for real?'

'2nd place is 7, Biwa Hayahide, by 3 lengths! 3rd place is 9, King Halo, by a neck! 4th place is 17, Special Week, by a nose! 5th place is 16, Oguri Cap, by 1 length!'

'A world record was set... Wait? At this distance, the Umamusume who placed... no, Happy Meek in 6th and Winning Ticket in 7th also beat the race record... Seiun Sky pulled everyone along, and it turned into an incredible race.'

Listening to the excited announcer and the confused commentator, I unclenched my fist. I looked up at the sky for a few seconds and then, with a wry smile, looked back at the course.

What I saw was Seiun Sky, still breathing heavily and unable to stand up, with Special Week on her left and King on her right, lending a shoulder to help her up.

Not only was her breathing ragged, but her legs were also shaking so much that she couldn't stand properly. Biwa Hayahide approached with a wry smile and said something to her, and Seiun Sky looked at the order board in a panic.

And now, Seiun Sky must have understood the time she had posted. She started to cry, big tears welling up in her eyes, and her face crumbled.

(I trained King as much as I could... but I can't beat her when she's flying with a world record...)

I smiled wryly as I watched Seiun Sky. At the same time, I clapped to honor the winner who had set the great record of a world record.

King went to the waiting room to prepare for the Winning Live. I rushed over to her and bowed my head to her.

'I'm sorry, King... I couldn't make you win.'

Seiun Sky's run was magnificent... but a result is a result. As predicted, she finished 3rd, but I couldn't make her win.

However, King blinked, as if she didn't understand what I was saying. She then gave a wry smile and gently poked my forehead with her finger.

'You're an idiot... Did you see Sky-san's run today? Against a world record, the odds were too great. And besides...'

King looked down at her own body and then clenched her right hand in front of her chest.

'I was pulled along by Sky-san, but I was able to run a long-distance race more comfortably than ever before... You said I could win G1 races in all distances, but honestly, I didn't completely believe you.'

With that, King smiled as if a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. Of course, she was frustrated about losing to Seiun Sky. But with a look of conviction and certainty, King smiled.

'But I'm sure of it now... I can really become stronger. And I'm going to get even stronger.'

'Yeah... you'll get stronger. I'll make you stronger... no, that's not right.'

I answered King, but I immediately corrected myself, saying I had used the wrong words.

'Let's become stronger together from now on.'

'--Yes!'

There were no tears in King's eyes as she nodded. It was probably because the record her friend and rival, Seiun Sky, had set was so magnificent.

And with that, King and I made a vow to each other.

'Let's become stronger.'

--The Winning Live that day ended with great success, as if to celebrate Seiun Sky's world record.
