A moment later, Sarutobi Hiruzen tapped his desk lightly.
In an instant, an Anbu ninja appeared in the Hokage's office.
"Lord Hokage, what are your orders?"
"Clear out the Hokage Building. All of you."
"Yes, Lord Hokage!" The Anbu didn't question the command. The Hokage's orders were to be followed without hesitation.
As night fell, the twelve genin—plus Ito Hirofumi, making thirteen—snuck toward the Hokage Building.
Hinata Hyuga, Ino Yamanaka, Sakura Haruno, and Tenten stood guard around the perimeter, while the nine boys charged straight into the building!
Ito Hirofumi knew the truth: the Scroll of Seals was something the Third Hokage had prepared specifically for Uzumaki Naruto.
He couldn't help but wonder what kind of expression Sarutobi would have when he saw this many kids storming in to steal the scroll!
Normally, the Hokage Building was under tight security. If the genin had waltzed in so boldly any other day, Anbu would've stopped them in their tracks.
But tonight? Not a single Anbu in sight…
This only confirmed Ito's suspicions. The Scroll of Seals was bait, set up by Sarutobi Hiruzen for Naruto.
That old man still had a bit of heart, at least, giving Naruto something valuable…
As the group infiltrated the building, Sarutobi Hiruzen immediately sensed something was off.
According to his plan, Naruto was supposed to be tricked by Mizuki and come alone to steal the Scroll of Seals tonight. Sarutobi had even placed the scroll in an easy spot for Naruto to find.
The plan was simple: let Naruto take the scroll, pretend to chase him, let the kid study it for a bit, then dramatically "retrieve" it later. Everything would go perfectly!
And if anyone asked, he'd pin the blame on Mizuki. That guy was a traitor anyway—perfect scapegoat material. Without Mizuki, Sarutobi would've had to find a way to shift the blame to Danzo…
But now? Things were not going according to plan. Naruto didn't come alone—he brought a whole posse of classmates!
And they even had four girls posted outside as lookouts…
It almost felt like a proper ninja mission, though a bit amateurish. Did they really think they could snatch the Scroll of Seals with the Third Hokage himself on duty?
As Sarutobi was mulling this over, Naruto kicked the door to the Hokage's office wide open with a bang!
"Gramps Hokage!!! Your VIP has arrived!!!"
Sarutobi's eyelids twitched as he watched the group barge in.
Well, well, well…
He'd thought they were here to steal the scroll, but this? This was a straight-up heist!
Did these kids really think they could rob the Scroll of Seals right in front of the Hokage himself?!
Looks like these brats needed a lesson in what it meant to face a Hokage!
Sarutobi slowly rose to his feet.
"What are you kids up to?" he asked, his tone calm but firm.
At that moment, everyone except Ito Hirofumi was visibly nervous. They'd planned to steal the scroll, not stage a full-on robbery!
And could Naruto really take on the Third Hokage? Sure, the old man wasn't young anymore, but he was still the Hokage! Even if they'd gotten stronger recently, beating a Hokage was a pipe dream!
Naruto was nervous too, but Ito had assured him his new jutsu would take down Gramps Hokage. Time to show the old man what he's got!
"Gramps Hokage!!!"
"What is it, Naruto? Something on your mind?"
"Nothing big! I just came up with a new jutsu, and I want you to check it out!!!"
"Oh? What kind of jutsu is it…?" Sarutobi's lips curled into a faint smile. Was Naruto really about to challenge him? Fine, he'd humor the kid and see what this new jutsu was all about.
But then…
Naruto's hands flew through a series of hand signs.
Sexy Jutsu!!!
Poof!
A cloud of smoke burst forth, and Naruto transformed into a blonde, twin-tailed bombshell.
And then… he started swaying right in front of Sarutobi.
"Hey, old man~~~ Come play with me~~~
Come on~~~ Let's have some fun~~~ We've got all the time in the world~~~"
The genin's faces turned bright red. None of them had ever seen anything like this!
Especially Uchiha Sasuke—thump, thump, thump, thump, thump—he could hear his own heart pounding! Suddenly, he felt a warm trickle. He wiped his nose… Nosebleed?!
But Sarutobi's reaction was on another level.
His eyes went wide, like he'd just seen something utterly terrifying. His mouth dropped open, letting out a strangled "gah, gah, gah" as if he wanted to say something but couldn't.
Then, blood gushed from his nose like a fountain!
Two crimson streams sprayed toward the floor, and the sheer force of it sent Sarutobi rocketing backward.
Crash!
His head slammed into the wall, and he collapsed, out cold. But even unconscious, the twin streams of blood kept flowing.
"Yoohoo!!! Nailed it!!!" Naruto crowed. "Gramps Hokage's such a pushover! Hirofumi was right—my jutsu totally took him out!"
The other genin stood there, jaws dropped, grinning like maniacs…
No one could believe it. The mighty Hokage, taken down so easily by a single jutsu.
And with that much blood loss!
It didn't look like a light injury…
Ito Hirofumi, unsurprisingly, had seen this coming. Though, he hadn't expected that much blood. Who knew nosebleeds could have actual recoil?
"Alright, Naruto! Grab the Scroll of Seals, and let's get out of here!!!"
"Got it!!!"
Naruto snatched the scroll, and the group bolted out of the Hokage Building at top speed.
