Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: The Council Of Elarion

The journey to Elarion stretched across vast field of emerald grass and rivers that shimmered beneath the dawn's light. The adventurers- Ammon, Ayden, Adler, Simon and Anya- rode silently, each carrying the weight of what awaits them.

The walls of Elarion rose above them like golden mountains, etched with runes that pulsed faintly, whispering the kingdom ancient power.

Elarion- The Kingdom of abundance, a land said to be blessed by God's themselves, where crops never failed and rivers never dries. Yet, even such a paradise has began to tremble under chaos.

As the adventuring heirs entered the inner court, they saw emblems of the seven nations. Seated before them- where kings, queens and generals- each marked by concern. At the center, sat general Lucian, who stood in place of Elarion heirless King. His armour gleamed like moonlight and his voice commanding silence.

Prince Adler, rose first. "The identity of our enemy has been confirmed.", he said grimly. The attack along our borders are not random, they are the work of Dark Knight Hart, once dragon god of strength, now dragon god of corruption. And beside him... the beast god of strength.

A chill swept through the room. The air seemed to suddenly become heavy pressing against their chest. The heirs exchanged uneased glances, god's at that scale were not just legends but walking calamities.

For a moment, no one spoke, even the crackle of torches seem to fade.

Then General Lucian's voice broke the silence. "If any among you, holds a plan for us to defeat our foes... speak now."

The heirs lowered their heads, fear and doubt chained their tongue. But, from among them, a chair scraped softly the marble floor. Ammon stood.

"I do, he said simply."

The court turned to him as though a child has interrupted divine speech. Murmurs spread- some mocking and some in disbelief. Simon crossed his hands, smirking faintly.

But before the ridicule could grow. Princess Anya voice rang out.

"Let him speak."

The murmurs died instantly.

Ammon's gaze was steady, his tone calm but resolute.

"Facing armies led by the beast god, head on, is suicide. But what if we divide strength?, our main armies fight the beast hordes from the south, meanwhile, we strike from the north, attacking Dark Knight Hart himself. If we can disrupt the leadership, the armies will crumble.

Silence followed. Then General Lucian nodded. A bold plan- but worth trying.

One by one, the council began to agree. Ammon's voice- once scorned- now carried that of strategy.

But just as Lucian raised his hand to seal the command, the walls of the chamber shook. A thunderous boom echoed through the hall, a wave of heat swept through the air.

Outside screams erupted.

The great gates of Elarion blazed in flame.

The beast had found them.
