"Okay, class, you may go home now. Take care," our teacher said, and my classmates nodded before heading out. I packed my things and stood up. Kio's absent today? I wonder what happened to him.
I shook my head. Why am I even worried about him? I was about to leave when someone grabbed my wrist, forcing me to look back.
"Where are you going?" Enzo asked, his voice cold as ever.
"Uh… well—"
"She's coming with me," Saichi cut in. "I need help with an assignment." Enzo stared at him for a moment before finally releasing me. He let out a slow, impatient sigh.
"Don't stay out too late," he warned. "I don't trust that man." And then he walked away, leaving the air impossibly heavier. Saichi let out a soft chuckle.
"Your twin looks like the type who wakes up angry at the world," he joked.
"T-thanks… for helping me," I muttered. Though honestly, I didn't understand why he did.
"You're going to see Kio, right?" he asked. My eyes widened.
"How did you know that?" He only smiled.
