Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Tsugikuni Yoriichi

As expected of my Goddess of Luck, she truly delivers.

The scene continues as ten meteors of various colors fall, eventually revealing ten character cards. There is one gold, two blue, three green, and four white.

The character cards are revealed one by one, starting from the lowest tier. White is the lowest level, essentially cannon fodder—characters in anime who appear briefly and are quickly forgotten.

Above white is green, a level higher, yet still cannon fodder.

Above green is blue, representing minor elite characters. For example, the Chunin he initially drew might be a character with no lines but has some strength.

Above blue is purple, which is quite impressive. In Naruto terms, it equates to Jonin level. In One Piece, it represents at least a pirate with a bounty of over 100 million or one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

Above purple is the golden legend.

In Naruto, that's above Kage level. In One Piece, it's equivalent to the Three Admirals or the Four Emperors. In Bleach, it's Captain level.

Finally, the last golden card is revealed.

Kevin's eyes widened: "It's actually him!"

On the character card, a man dressed as a samurai, wearing a red haori, with long dark red hair tied in a high ponytail, red irises, and paper earrings with a red sun motif. Most strikingly, a strange pattern marked his forehead. He held a red longsword, exuding a terrifying sense of oppression just by standing there.

Tsugikuni Yoriichi.

The absolute pinnacle in the Demon Slayer anime.

Kevin had watched many anime, featuring numerous powerful characters, but few with such unmatched strength.

Tsugikuni Yoriichi stands apart as the absolute pinnacle. In the anime world, when discussing 'the ceiling,' he's the first who comes to mind.

From birth, he possessed unparalleled talent, creating Sun Breathing. The five basic breathing styles that followed were mere imitations. Even with countless geniuses refining various styles, none came close to matching him.

The strongest villain in Demon Slayer, Muzan Kibutsuji, was nearly killed by Tsugikuni Yoriichi in one encounter. Muzan barely escaped by self-destructing and hid during Yoriichi's lifetime, only emerging after his death.

In the anime's finale, the entire Demon Slayer Corps besieged Muzan, enduring heavy casualties and only sunlight ultimately killed Muzan.

Kevin had one evaluation for Tsugikuni Yoriichi: he was a mortal who slayed gods.

Compared to powerhouses in other anime who could destroy islands or countries, Tsugikuni Yoriichi might not have that destructive power. Yet, facing him, even a god would be wary.

You might destroy the world, but I can kill you.

Kevin tapped his finger, recovering all characters except Ulquiorra Cifer and Tsugikuni Yoriichi. He checked twice to avoid accidentally recovering the gold card. Losing a golden legend would be a lifelong regret.

"Are you sure you want to recover all selected characters?"

"Confirm!"

"Ding! Recovery successful! Host's magic power increased by ☆!"

"System, these are two blue elites! Why is it still only half a star increase in magic power?! Are you taking kickbacks?!"

"The higher the magic power star level, the greater the difficulty of advancement. Everything is calculated accordingly. If the Host wishes to increase more magic power, he may recover characters of higher quality."

"You're ruthless!"

The system's bureaucratic response frustrated him. Recovering a gold character was out of the question.

Kevin opened his personal panel.

"Host: Kevin"

"Age: 18"

"Race: Human"

"Magic Power: ★★"

"Magic: Take Over Magic"

"Character Cards: Ulquiorra Cifer (Gold), Tsugikuni Yoriichi (Gold)"

"Full Take Over! Tsugikuni Yoriichi!!"

Kevin activated his Take Over Magic, his hair growing rapidly as his clothes changed. In moments, he assumed Tsugikuni Yoriichi's appearance. Except for his face, which remained his own, he was indistinguishable from Tsugikuni Yoriichi.

Tsugikuni Yoriichi's memories surfaced in Kevin's mind. From birth, Yoriichi saw the world differently. He could see the Transparent World, viewing people transparently, observing the rise and fall of their heart and lungs, the flow of blood vessels, and muscle contractions. He understood his own muscle contractions clearly, allowing him to predict opponents' movements and significantly increase his attack and evasion speed.

The first time he touched a sword, he defeated a long-trained swordsman. Later, he created Sun Breathing. After joining the Demon Slayer Corps, he taught the breathing style, enabling the Corps to contend with demons.

Upon encountering Muzan Kibutsuji, he severely wounded him with one strike, forcing Muzan to self-destruct and flee.

Finally, he met his older brother, who became Kokushibo. Ultimately, due to familial affection, he held back and after one final sword strike, he died.

"Hoo~~~~!!"

After reviewing Tsugikuni Yoriichi's memories, Kevin took a deep breath, his heart still trembling with shock.

The anime understated Yoriichi's strength; the real Tsugikuni Yoriichi was much stronger.

This reminded Kevin of a saying:

Those who don't know swordsmanship see him as a frog in a well gazing at the moon in the sky. Those who know swordsmanship see him as an ant observing the clear sky.

Perhaps you are a once-in-a-million genius, but genius is merely the threshold to see him.

Kevin began to use Sun Breathing.

A powerful force surged within him. This wasn't energy-based power, but one derived from physical attributes. He felt his physical attributes significantly improving, yet his magic power rapidly depleted.

After a short while, Kevin released his transformation, returning to his original appearance.

"Whew!"

A strong sense of disparity arose in Kevin's heart.

It felt like going from a super genius to an ordinary person.

His talent paled compared to Tsugikuni Yoriichi's.

Suddenly, his body instinctively began to use Sun Breathing.

Inhale~~~! Exhale~~~!

Using Sun Breathing, Kevin felt powerful strength fill his body.

Kevin was stunned. He had exited Tsugikuni Yoriichi's transformation state, so why could he still use the breathing style?

When in doubt, ask the system.

"System, why can I still use the breathing style now?"
