She fired a bullet at the security camera and ran towards the comms room. There, she hacked into the system's code and altered the way the cameras would work. The new lines of code would prevent anyone from being detected by the camera. With this new code, it was guaranteed she could pay her uncle a rough visit and explain the situation at the main department currently.
As a test of confirmation, she ran the codes and waved the cameras. The screens were pitch black at first, then the two figures in the room were obscured with a blur. She set a timer in the codelines, which would restore the codes to normal after she sent a notification from her driver's phone to the computers, within three seconds of receiving it.
The reason for doing this was to remove the evidence that she was there, and she had done what she needed to do for the members to lose this fight. She only learned about it after secretly getting inside the vault, which contained confidential documents.
It turned out that Mr. Robert was actually targeting the vault in the building this whole time. Due to there being a few empty vaults for the prevention of this type of incident, Mr. Robert had to set up a trap to make her uncle confess which vault had it and what the security code was.
Her uncle, on the other hand, was a man who you couldn't convince, even after bribery. He was also once a spy for the military, so he knew that the extra vaults alone couldn't outsmart the rivaling companies.
But in Mr. Robert's case, he was smart enough to have already figured out that the vault had a retina scan and a fingerprint pad. Due to this, he knew he had to pick out an eye and the right finger, but it couldn't be done in friendly terms. That was his reason for causing explosions in the lobby.
Though the main reason is still unclear, and there are a lot to why he had to take his revenge on the company's building and infrastructure. Surely he wanted to make her uncle suffer in debt for a while.
With that in mind, Aefia told her driver a few things. The things were the same that she had said to he senior member before the escape room game. When she finished, the driver nodded his head and walked away towards the safety bunker.
Now that Aefia had her driver's phone, she loaded the only batch of extra bullets she had and walked out of the comms room. She turned right to shoot the camera but was faced with a female high-ranking member.
She was exceptionally close to Aefia and didn't mind working for her, although she was in her thirties and had more work experience at the office than almost all members. She and the senior member were the only two, besides one more, who were loyal to her uncle.
"Oh, I didn't mean to run into you like this. You seem to be in a hurry." The female member spoke.
"Yes. I think you could be of some help. Look, the problem is, some of our high-ranking members are currently working with a paranormal creature processing Mr. Robert or whoever he really is, to assassinate the boss." Aefia explained.
The female member looked shocked and put her hand to her face. After a while, she started speaking, "I am aware that a few of our members are quite suspicious, but I don't understand why they would work with that guy."
"Same here. Anyway, you do have your earpiece, right? Now listen to me, you will have to help me shoot as many security cameras as you can, from her to my uncle's chamber. I have a rough idea that the assassination will take place at eight fifteen. It's currently eight, so we don't have much time."
The female member retrieved her communication device. "Sure. Do you think you can explain just what you are going to plan while we are walking to your uncle's room?"
"Firstly, you do know why that room from where we came is called a 'comms room's right?"
"Not exactly, but I heard that your uncle may have brought it here after his military tent was burnt in a war."
"No. The exact reason was that my uncle used to be a spy during his years in the military, and when he first founded this company, he would have his close friend work as a spy alongside him. It was early, so he had to solve cases with a very few number of members, so he had one person to monitor and communicate with him while he went into enemy territory."
"So that room was where they used to work together in a case during the early years of this company?"
"There is more to it. This building was under construction during the time when they bought this machine and worked under a tent beside a rubbish facility. One day, my uncle went out on a mission when the rubbish facility's manager noticed.
"That day was the day they could finally move into their building, and they were planning on doing so after he came back from the mission that day. The arrogant manager asked for compensation if he wanted to stay there for a few hours per day.
"My uncle's friend told him that they were to move out that evening, and the manager secretly stole a gun and shot him on the head. His blood stained the machine, and it is still there."
"That is a brutal history. I came into this company when I was just sixteen. I didn't know any of these until you just told me." The female member said while shooting at a camera.
"That evening, my uncle committed his fifth innocent murder due to his rage and anger towards the manager. He couldn't kill him since it would lead to the police noticing. Furthermore, the manager always walked around with men or two men who were his witnesses.
"The machine was moved to the comms room initially as a store room until the showcase room was made. Then it was moved to that room and into a glass case. Due to its first place being it, it was turned into a security room and named 'The Comms Room'." Aefia stopped explaining.
"That's a touching story. It must have been hard for him to go through such a hardship."
"Really? Because I thought it was a rather weird story when my uncle told me. I remember cringing at it whenever he told me about that incident." Aefia shot another camera.
"Hahaha...Sometimes, kids like you don't understand adult emotions. Maybe when you grow up, you will realize how severe the emotion of losing a close friend is."
"Maybe I won't. Emotions are what make a person weak, and I don't want to be weak, or else what will my younger brother learn from me?" Aefia said while looking at the camera with her pistol pointing at it. She held the trigger but didn't pull it until two seconds later.
Outside, a few police sirens were starting to sound, and Aefia spotted the senior member up ahead. She ran to him and pulled him towards her chamber. "Guard it. I will be back. If you spot anyone, kill them." She said while running back to the female member's location.
"Shoot as you run!" Aefia skidded to a stop midway and shouted. "You only have up to five minutes before I set up the trap!" She ran in the direction she came from and shot all the cameras she could find.
When the female member caught up, she turned on the driver's phone and sent a message to the computers in the comms room.
All of the screens in the comms room turned black, and then a few green lines of code got deleted, and a few new lines appeared. She burst into her uncle's room.
"Uncle, you are going to be assassinated soon. I need you to do as I say." Aefia spoke through ragged breath. "A few of your high-ranking members are spies for Mr. Robert's company."
Her uncle looked calm and replied, "Yes, I know. I was waiting for you to come and get me." What! You were risking your life for what?! I am not your bodyguard!
"Whatever you thought, I need you to leave and get into the car parked near the bunker. I will stay here for a bit longer. I have several things that need to be done. And you do have the funds for repair, right? Not cash, I mean in your bank."
"Oh yes! I knew you would ask. There are currently people who are helping me move all the cash and gold from the vaults. You will be surprised to see who." Her uncle smiled.
"Alright! Just leave already! I don't have all night to complete it!" Aefia rushed to her office and grabbed a handful of items. She ran to the female member and assigned her a few tasks, and did the same to the senior member, too.
Then she ran to the locations of the main department and placed a rectangular metal item in places like plants. Next, she tied the stems of some small trees in the office to a wire connected to the doors of different office rooms.
It was put in a way that when someone opened the door, the trigger would be pulled and the grenade would go off. This was to keep the police away from the rooms.
After finishing that task, she ran to the armory and retrieved the sniper and another batch of extra bullets. Although she did not have many skills with the sniper, Aefia had managed to place all the shots when she used it to ambush the guards earlier.
She ran to the cafeteria and brought a few snacks in a bag with her. She sat near the exit of the cafeteria and waited for a few minutes.
The teenage member, who was now in his twenties, came by. "What are you still doing here? I thought you had gone home?"
"Because I had my suspicions." Aefia took out her gun and pointed it at a dead body. "See this? He was one of the members who were affiliated with Mr. Robert's company."
He looked down to see who Aefia was pointing to. The face was smashed, and blood spewed out from the side. Although Aefia had actually hit a recently killed body with a baseball a few times to break the skull and make the features a bit distorted.
"You did that?! Your uncle allowed you?"
"Why would I need an acceptance letter from my uncle when I have the free will to kill our enemies? After all, they did plan on using Mr. Robert's body to kill my uncle. That gets me wondering, how come you all are here, but you don't take any measures to prevent it?"
"I didn't know until you told me." He stepped back.
"That was also what someone told me. I also know that the person found out I was eavesdropping on a private conversation with a few more spies from Mr. Robert's organization, who are also high-ranking members of our company. Can you imagine?"
"That's...how do they dare do that to our boss?! That's betrayal!"
"Says the person who actually betrayed."
He looked at Aefia with a frightened expression. While turning pale, he ran out of the cafeteria and turned right. Seeing this, Aefia dashed towards the safety bunker.
When she reached the car, she gotina ND told the driver to move a safe distance away from the main department. Once they were out of the underground tunnel, they got out of the car three meters away.
Aefia clicked a few things on the screen of the phone she was holding. This action activated an electric door to move and triggered a sound grenade to go off.
Due to the noise, a group of police got in. They were heavily guarded with weapons. She handed the sniper to the female member and told her to shoot any member who came out of the door after all the police had gotten inside the building.
One by one, grenades went off, and orange smoke could be seen erupting. Following that, the members came out. That instant, they fell to the ground, and some scrambled in a different direction. But they only went in one direction.
Aefia clicked another option on the phone's screen, and a bomb went off, causing half the building to collapse. She turned her head to face her uncle; she could see the tremor appearing in his face.
She then turned to face the senior member. "Do you know how ants always follow the way their leader walks? They only go in that direction and not anywhere else. That is due to the fear of being of course and ending up in another ant's colony and getting mixed up. Or that's what my mom told me." Aefia explained.
"And here, the ants are walking with their leader towards their nest. Yes, I can see where this is going." The group of four people walked to the place where the injured members had gone

They were shocked to see how they were all injured, and all of them were suffering injuries from bullets. It seemed to them that a sniper was firing at them.
"Do you think it was the kid? The boss's niece was it?" One of the members said.
"Yes! I doubt it is! She said she had killed one of us, but why is he still alive? That kid is highly intelligent when it comes to these kinds of situations. I met her at the cafeteria, and she told me that she knew we were to assassinate the boss."
"This sounds like an interesting conversation. May I join?"
They all turned to look at the person with the childish voice. "No! She has found us and our hiding spot!" A member shouted.
Aefia's trench coat fell off her shoulder as she swung her knife across a running member. The body dropped dead to the ground with a *tud*. "Mom was right. Ants do stay within their colonies." She said while picking up her coat.
