All the play going on stopped as Travis tried to process what he heard. He replayed the words in his mind, analyzing them like a math equation, trying to figure out if Derek really said that nonsense—but Derek still had his butt raised in the air, meaning he was damn serious about it.
Travis coughed a little, perplexed—to think Derek saw him as a butt slapper. How insulting. Of course, it was Kai's fault. He wanted to speak when Jordan interrupted him.
He glared at the lion man who interrupted them—again. Why was Jordan always the messenger of doom? Kai saw his fun time was ruined and immediately shot daggers at Derek, clearly blaming him for everything.
"It's important, if not I wouldn't stop you people from whatever you're doing over there," Jordan announced dramatically. "The rain stopped… and guess what—the fire is gone."
Jordan squealed with excitement like always, and thankfully it distracted Travis from the embarrassment just moments before.
