Chapter 29 - Cousin!

High above the clouds, a colossal aircraft stood like a giant, dark cloud.

Just below the aircraft, two beautiful women stood with grace as they observed the battle happening in front of the Stonewill Mansion.

"This kid looks exactly like Aeron when he was young," Elara sighed, tucking a loose strand of her golden hair behind her ear.

Seraphina remained silent for a moment before saying, "Although he doesn't have the Divine Chaos Ape physique like Aeron, his talent in body cultivation is far more terrifying. After all, even Aeron wouldn't be able to fight a bunch of late-stage Ascendant Realm cultivators with only a mortal-level body."

Elara nodded gently. "His comprehension is also not bad. Each of the techniques he has practiced seems to be of top quality, especially his shaman Intent Technique and the Asura Intent Technique. That lion avatar behind him seems to have a will of its own, capable of attacking and protecting on its own. As for the blade intent and the spear intent, I sense six different weapon intents in each of them. This is surely the genuine Asura Intent Technique of the Nyxborn family."

"Twelve weapon intents, five shaman intents, and killing intent. That's a total of eighteen different types of intent. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I would never have thought such a level of comprehension was something a human could achieve," Seraphina added with a light smile on her face.

By this time, Draven had used the Paper Man Puppetry skill on Galen, making him fight the black-armored woman like a puppet under his control.

"Isn't that the Paper Man Puppetry technique of Sister Lilly? Where did this kid get his hands on it?" Elara asked in surprise as she recognized the technique Draven had just used as the ultimate core secret technique of the Etherborn Creation Academy.

"I don't know. The chance of this technique appearing casually outside is practically zero, as its circulation is strictly limited to the core disciples of the Etherborn Creation Academy," Seraphina also frowned.

"That kid entered the trial ground left behind by my ancestor. He obtained that technique from there." Just then, a lazy voice rang in the two women's ears.

Seraphina and Elara became vigilant as they prepared themselves for a battle. But when they turned around and saw a young man sitting atop a jade-horned tiger king's back, they relaxed their expressions.

"So it's the space rat, Silas," Seraphina said with a frown. "Are you the one who put that Nyxborn family's supreme identity token on my grandson's ear?"

Silas's mouth twitched. He angrily took a sip from his wine gourd and said, "Cousin, just because you are older than me by a few years, don't think I won't hit you if you keep calling me by that weird name. If you really want to address me by a nickname, just call me Asura Spear King; at least it is good to the ear."

Seraphina scoffed, disgust written all over her face. "A few years? When I was a teen, you were just a little baby who didn't even know how to wear your own clothes. So you can forget about me changing the way I address you, space rat Silas."

Silas opened his mouth to retort, but he ultimately didn't say anything, as he was never good at winning a fight with words, especially with the woman in front of him.

"Are you the one who has trained Draven until now, Brother Silas?" Elara asked Silas curiously.

Seraphina also looked at Silas, but he shook his head. "I only met him a few months ago. As far as I know, that kid is self-taught with no mentor until now."

"What about your family's supreme identity token? Why did you give it to my grandson?" Seraphina asked again.

"First of all, I didn't know at the start that this kid is your grandson. If I had known, I would never have given him the supreme identity token. Now that I know, I will take it back after this fight is over," Silas said expressionlessly.

"Master, look! That brat seems to be awakening his bloodline!" Just then, the tiger demon called out, attracting the attention of the three people back to the battle below.

"It's the Shadow World Behemoth bloodline. This battle seems to have stimulated the sleeping bloodline in his body.... Wait, there seems to be one more bloodline awakening alongside it," Elara said in surprise as she noticed the unusual movement of space and darkness elemental chi around Draven.

"Astral Nexus Bloodline! How is that even possible?" Silas had a stunned look on his face when he identified the unique fluctuation coming from Draven's body.

Seraphina stared at Draven for a while and said, "It's possible. That supreme identity token is forged from your blood, which might have reactivated the Astral Nexus Bloodline hidden inside his blood. After all, even though I am not immediately related to you by blood, we are still distant cousins from the same lineage."

Silas thought about it and felt that it made sense. His eyes suddenly lit up in excitement and he laughed out loud. "Hahah... I thought my bloodline would end with me. Unexpectedly, the successor I selected turned out to be someone who awakened the same bloodline as me. I have decided, now even if my ancestor asks me to change my successor, I won't listen to him."

Seraphina's mouth twitched when she saw Silas's happy expression, but she didn't mock him as there was truly no one left alive with this bloodline other than Silas himself.

...

Back in front of the Stonewill family mansion,

Kane watched Draven's aura grow stronger by the second as space and darkness elemental chi entered his body. He didn't dare show any carelessness at this moment and hurriedly activated his body cultivation secret technique. A layer of golden-red flames covered his body like a fiery armor.

"I am asking you one more time, let go of my sister. We can still end everything peacefully here," Draven endured the excruciating pain coursing all around his body and said to Kane expressionlessly.

Kane shook his head. "Forget about her. Even if I wanted to let her go, I can't. She is with the elders, and I am nobody to decide their actions."

Draven fell silent when he heard this. "Then, you are useless. And useless people should just die."

Kane sneered. "Do you think you are capable..."

Before Kane could even finish his words, Draven moved with terrifying speed and appeared before him like a phantom.

Bang!

A fist wrapped in white Tusk fist Intent struck Kane's stomach, making his body bend forward before he was sent flying like a shot ball.

Draven didn't stop. He exerted strength in his knees and rushed towards Kane, who was still flying backward.

Midair, the two of them clashed like two savage beasts. Punches, kicks, and palm strikes rang out continuously as they engaged in a deadlock fight, with neither side truly gaining the upper hand.

The only difference from the last time they clashed was that now, both of them were getting injured at the same rate. Previously, it was Draven who was at the receiving end, with Kane barely getting hurt by his attacks.

Bang... Bang... Bang...

After a series of non-stop attacks, Kane's movements began to falter as time passed, while Draven continued with the same deadly momentum like a killing machine with no concept of pain or emotion.

Even though blood kept pouring from the wounds on his body, even though he felt darkness slowly crawling under his eyelids, Draven continued without any sign of pausing.

To make it even worse for Kane, with each attack from Draven, he felt three kinds of elemental chi assaulting his body, even though Draven wasn't intentionally using any elemental spells.

The chaos lightning shattered the fire elemental defense around his body, the space element made each of Draven's attacks even stronger, and the darkness chi acted like a poison which entered his body and slowed down his movements, making him sluggish in front of Draven.

The most infuriating thing was that Draven wasn't even doing all this intentionally. The elemental chi around him seemed to be acting on its own, helping Draven even when he didn't actively call upon it.

After half an hour, Kane could no longer hold on against Draven's attacks. He was punched to the ground by Draven's continuous barrage of punches. Self-activating defense formation plates kept activating non-stop, but Draven seemed to have gone crazy as his fists created afterimages on the ground, making Kane's head sink into the earth.

Even with the formation plates, his face was beaten black and blue to the point where it was difficult to even recognize him.

"That's enough, kid. Calm down." Suddenly, a gentle voice appeared in Draven's ears, and he felt as though his agitated mind was suddenly at peace again. It was a strange feeling, difficult to describe with words.

His punching motion paused midway, and he blankly stared around him in confusion, looking for the source of the sound. But all he could see was golden butterflies flying all around him, spreading a golden glow over all the injured people, including himself.

Even his Asura Avatar and the Paper Man Puppetry technique he had cast on Galen were suddenly dissolved without affecting him. Visible to the naked eye, the wounds on his body mended on their own and returned to how they were before the battle.

Even the soul-numbing pain he was feeling a moment ago vanished, as though it had never been there in the first place. If not for his bare upper body and the aftermath of the battle around him, Draven would have doubted if it all had been a dream.
