The newspapers fell like snow across the world. The News Coo birds took flight at dawn, carrying the world-shaking news across the entire Grand Line.

The sun beat down, and sweat poured off the recruits.
Ace smashed a training post with a single punch, then glanced over at Luffy and Zoro, who were panting from their own workout.
"Hey, Luffy, Zoro, what do you think that guy Roy is doing right now?"
"Shishishi! Probably off stealing rice crackers again!" Luffy laughed, his stomach growling.
Nearby, Kuina was polishing her Wado Ichimonji. "Mr. Roy is a Rear Admiral. He's not an undisciplined idiot like you."
Suddenly, a shout echoed across the field.
"HEY!! LOOK AT THE NEWS!!"
Law ran over, holding a newspaper, a rare look of shock on his face.
"Big Bro Roy... he fought Kaido!"
"Wh-What?!" they all yelled, crowding around.
Ace snatched the paper. "He fought Kaido head-on?! To a standstill?!"
Zoro's pupils shrank, sweat dripping from his brow. "...But that's Kaido."
Luffy just looked confused. "Kaido? Who's that? Is he strong?"
"YOU IDIOT!" Zoro and Ace roared in unison.
Kuina's hand, holding her sword, trembled slightly, but her eyes were burning with a new fire. "Mr. Roy... he's really... that strong?"
On the sidelines, a tall figure stood watching.
Zephyr was in his usual spot. For once, he wasn't yelling at the recruits for stopping. He, too, was reading a copy of the paper.
He looked at the kids, who were still in shock, and a rare, proud smile touched his lips.
"Now that's what I'm talking about... Roy. A true student of Zephyr."
Revolutionary HQ - Baltigo
The wind rustled across the sand.
Dragon stood at the map table, the newspaper in his hand, his eyes as deep and stormy as the sea.
"Roy... went head-to-head with Kaido?"
Behind him, Koala, Hack, and Sabo gathered around.
"But that's Kaido!" Koala's eyes went wide. "Who is this Roy?!"
"To survive an encounter with Kaido and King is a miracle," Hack murmured, frowning.
A 12-year-old Sabo just tipped the brim of his top hat, a thoughtful smirk on his face. "Heh. Looks like there are some respectable guys in the Marines after all."
Dragon was silent, his fingers tracing a line on the map.
"The balance of the world... is beginning to shift."
Big Mom Pirates - Whole Cake Island
"Mamamama...MAMA!!"
Charlotte Linlin (Big Mom) crushed a piece of cake in her fist, ripping the newspaper in half! "That idiot Kaido... got held up by a Marine brat?!"
Katakuri stood beside her, his voice low. "Mama, this Roy... he will become a great enemy in the future."
Perospero licked his candy cane. "And he has the Warp-Warp Fruit... fighting him would be a real headache, perorin~"
Linlin just cackled, her eyes dark. "Mamamama... Next time I see him, I'll take his soul for my collection!"
Red-Hair Pirates - The Red Force
Shanks leaned against the railing, the newspaper in his hand. His gaze was fixed on the headline.
"Rear Admiral Roy, fought Kaido to a standstill..."
His usual carefree smile was gone, replaced by a rare, heavy expression.
"Hey, Beckman, what do you make of it?"
Beckman took a long drag from his cigarette, his eyes narrowed. "A man who can go head-to-head with Kaido and walk away... there's only a handful of those in the world."
He paused, turning to his captain. "But... you know his strength better than anyone, don't you, Captain?"
Shanks was silent, his hand crumpling the newspaper.
Yasopp sighed, rubbing his face. "Remember when we met him in the East Blue? ...Damn, how old was he then?"
"I remember," Lucky Roux said, chewing on a leg of meat. "You're the one who got slapped into the ocean by him. I had to pull you out."
"Shut up..." Yasopp muttered, shuddering. "Good thing he wasn't this strong when he hit me..."
The crew laughed, and Shanks finally smiled, but his expression was heavy.
"Roy... he's the bell tolling for the 'New Era.'"
He looked up at the sky. "This new wave... it's only just beginning!"
Whitebeard Pirates - The Moby Dick
A News Coo dropped a paper on the deck.
Marco picked it up, a grin spreading across his face. "Pops, today's news is interesting, yoi."
Whitebeard took a drink, then took the paper.
"GURARARARA—!!!"
His thunderous laugh rolled across the deck! "That bastard Kaido... got his ass handed to him?! When did the Marines start producing monsters this young?!"
Jozu frowned, trying to remember. "Roy... I've heard that name recently..."
Vista sighed. "The Marines' new generation of monsters... they just get stronger and stronger."
Whitebeard slammed his giant bisento on the deck, his voice booming. "GURARARA... I don't care who this brat is! We fear no one!"
"A new era is coming!"
New World - G-1 Marine Base
Roy stood quietly on the high wall of the G-1 Base, staring out at the sea.
Beside him, Gion (Momousagi), her wounds already treated by his "Instant Surgery," leaned on the railing. The shock of the battle was gone, replaced by respect.
She glanced at him, a small smile on her face. "Well, 'Little Brother' Roy, you're famous now. The whole world is talking about you."
"What are you thinking about?"
Roy didn't look away from the sea. "I'm thinking... about how I'm going to punch Kaido straight into the ground next time."
Gion stared, then let out a laugh.
"You really are... just like Vice Admiral Garp."
She nodded. "You'll succeed."
The wind whipped their two "Justice" coats, like the unstoppable wave of the new era that was roaring toward them.
