"I'm still hungry. I'm already thinking about the steak I had yesterday. I'd give anything for a steak right now," Nael said.
"Don't talk about food," Roger said, walking to the window to get some fresh air. "It only makes it worse."
Just as they were trying to settle in, the door to the room opened. Their roommates walked in. These were the roommates they had met earlier, plus five more boys.
Alexander couldn't believe it. They had more roommates. And he realized the five boys had been out working all day.
They looked exhausted but greeted them politely. They were curious about their six new roommates.
They looked at Nael, who resembled Nathan. They had met the brothers once and remembered them.
"Nice to meet you," they said with a smile, heading to their own beds.
One boy sat on a bunk across from them. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, crumpled bag of crackers. He opened it and shared it with everyone.
