Not only did they miss out on getting a job, but they were also late for breakfast.
Alexander never usually slept in, and he was devastated. By the time they got to the dining room, the food was already gone.
The kids were already playing in the garden, and things had calmed down, there weren't many kids around. Alexander wondered if they had started working or something.
Lara greeted them. "You slept in today."
Alexander smiled. "Yes, and it seems nobody woke me up."
Lara smiled. "Oh, that won't happen. We try to give each of them their own responsibilities. They know what time they have to wake up to get food and start their day."
Alexander sighed. He understood that everyone needed discipline. But they were still kids. After all, it seemed nobody else was late now except them, so clearly their approach was working.
Lucas looked worried. "So we don't get breakfast?"
