They tried to take him to the doctor, but Lara walked into the room with a small bottle of medicine. She gave Nael a spoonful.
"It's just a fever. It's very common in the summer with this heat. He'll get better soon if he rests."
"What are you talking about?" Alexander snapped. "He's sick. I need a doctor here."
Lara looked at Alexander with a patient but firm expression. "I'm sorry, Mr. Alex. He's fine. This medicine is what we give all the children. He just needs time."
"Please, tell a doctor to come," Alexander insisted. He was starting to panic. "I'll pay you double, triple, whatever you want, once we're back at the mansion. Just get a professional here."
"We don't have a family doctor on call," Lara said. "We don't have that kind of money. If you really insist, there's a public clinic on the main road in the city. But I can't give you money for the bus or the treatment."
