Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Ten-Headed Fierce Yang Serpent, Another Path of Cultivation?

Chapter 27: Ten-Headed Fierce Yang Serpent, Another Path of Cultivation?

Bibi Dong used her soul tool to store away the corpse of the Ten-Headed Fierce Yang Serpent before turning back for one last glance.

Behind her lay a narrow path, broken clean in the middle, with swarms of Three-Headed Darkgold Bats hovering nearby—too afraid to approach.

'Tsk, tsk... how are future challengers supposed to pass through Hell Road now?' Qi Tian thought to himself.

Still, Hell Road had always been filled with countless ruptures and broken passages. This was merely one more obstacle—nothing insurmountable.

Besides, with Bibi Dong having slain the Ten-Headed Fierce Yang Serpent, future challengers wouldn't have to face that terrifying beast. In fact, the challenge might even be easier now.

Bibi Dong reached the end of Hell Road. She agilely scaled the cliff walls, her eyes locking onto the suspended exit above the Blood Pool.

At last, she broke through the final trial of Hell Road. The murderous aura that had saturated her body began to converge rapidly.

Under the overwhelming impact of that energy, Bibi Dong inevitably fainted.

Qi Tian, however, remained conscious—watching in awe as the killing intent condensed and took form.

This was the birth of a Domain!

If he could gain some insight from witnessing this process, it might greatly help him in cultivating his own Blue Silver Domain in the future.

Killing intent, deathly aura, and demonic energy intertwined and gathered, ultimately forming the Death God Domain.

Qi Tian witnessed the entire process. His spirit was utterly drained, and only after Bibi Dong woke did he allow himself to finally collapse into a deep sleep.

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself back in the dormitory of Nuoding Academy—over ten years later.

He overslept today. Most of his dorm mates were already gone; only Xiao Wu remained.

Sitting up from his bed, Qi Tian's eyes flashed with a trace of ferocity. After spending so long in Slaughter City, it was inevitable that a murderous aura clung to him.

"Oh? You dare glare at me?"

Xiao Wu had been packing her things—she and Tang San were heading home for the holidays. But when she turned around and caught that fierce look in Qi Tian's eyes, her temper instantly flared.

"Hmph! How dare you glare at this young lady? Get down from that bed—we're going to spar!"

Having just finished packing, Xiao Wu was feeling bored anyway. This was the perfect chance to have a little fun.

Qi Tian had been so focused on his own training this term that he rarely interacted with his dorm mates. Xiao Wu couldn't even remember the last time he'd called her "Sister Xiao Wu."

This time, she was determined to reassert her dominance in the dorm and completely put Qi Tian in his place.

Hearing Xiao Wu's voice snapped Qi Tian fully awake. Reality and illusion finally separated in his mind.

'What's wrong with this crazy rabbit? When did I ever offend her?' he thought helplessly.

It was obvious to him now—Xiao Wu was just looking for trouble.

The killing intent in his eyes gradually faded as he said calmly, "Sister Xiao Wu, I just had a nightmare earlier. I wasn't glaring at you."

"I don't care! You were glaring at me!"

Xiao Wu stepped forward and grabbed his wrist, yanking him right off the bed.

"Watch out! I'm coming! I won't even use my soul skills—just my physical skills!"

With a mischievous grin, Xiao Wu tightened her grip on his hand and kicked her long legs toward him.

It was one of her signature Soft Skills—Rabbit Kicks the Eagle!

If that hit landed, Qi Tian would definitely lose his balance and end up with a face full of bruises.

Qi Tian frowned. Somehow, he couldn't shake her grip.

But after years of life-and-death struggle in the Slaughter City, his reflexes had been honed to perfection. Moving almost instinctively, he released his Blue Silver Grass.

"Blue Silver Bind!"

The vines erupted from his hand, rapidly extending under the surge of soul power, wrapping tightly around Xiao Wu's body and yanking her toward him.

"A soul skill?"

Xiao Wu didn't panic, but Qi Tian had already anticipated her reactions. With a single pull of the Blue Silver Grass, the two of them ended up tightly bound together.

She had been standing close to him to begin with, so within an instant, they were entangled completely.

"Let's see you use your fancy soft skills now," Qi Tian muttered inwardly.

"Don't you know men and women shouldn't be this close? Let me go right now!"

Xiao Wu shouted angrily while struggling, preparing to use her Martial Soul Possession to break free from Qi Tian's Blue Silver Grass.

She was a beast-type Martial Soul user, after all. There was no way an ordinary Blue Silver Grass could restrain her for long.

Qi Tian sneered. "Oh, now you know about propriety between men and women? Weren't you the one who shared a bed with Tang San on your first day in Dorm Seven?"

"You're talking nonsense! There was a line drawn between us—it doesn't count!" Xiao Wu retorted, flustered.

Qi Tian didn't bother pressing the point. Instead, he asked, "Where's Tang San?"

"He just left. He went to say goodbye to the Master."

Qi Tian exhaled slowly, relieved. Then, leaning close to her ear, he whispered, "Xiao Wu… you wouldn't want anyone to find out you're actually a soul beast in disguise, right?"

"You—!" Xiao Wu froze, her face turning pale. The soul power she had just gathered instantly dispersed.

"W-What nonsense are you spouting? I'm human! Let me go!"

Her body suddenly went limp. She couldn't even muster the strength to struggle anymore. She was still just a child—aside from those long legs, there wasn't much of a threat in her physique.

"No need to deny it," Qi Tian said coolly. "I consumed a special herb that grants me the ability to see through transformed soul beasts. If you don't want your identity exposed, you'd better behave."

"My current soul power might not be strong enough to absorb your soul ring," he added, his tone darkening, "but if others find out what you really are… who knows what might happen?"

Qi Tian deliberately mimicked the sinister tone of the fallen ones he'd encountered in the Slaughter City, sounding every bit like a true villain.

"You… What do you want from me?" Xiao Wu's voice trembled. She was on the verge of tears.

She had come thousands of miles, all the way to this small city, seeking a peaceful place to cultivate—far from the dangers of soul masters. She never expected someone to actually see through her disguise.

Thankfully, the human before her seemed weak. For now, he wasn't a direct threat to her life.

Qi Tian's voice grew low and dangerous. "You and Tang San are close, right? You're even going home with him this time. I'm sure he'd give you anything you asked for."

"When the time is right, ask him for his cultivation method. Next semester, hand it over to me. Understand?"

"As long as you do that, I'll keep your little secret safe."

Qi Tian remembered this part clearly from the original timeline. This trip home was when Tang San and Xiao Wu officially became sworn siblings—cementing their close bond. Tang San even gifted her one of his hidden weapons.

As for the Mysterious Heaven Skill, Tang San had claimed Xiao Wu couldn't cultivate it because she already possessed soul power.

But Qi Tian didn't believe that for a second. He'd test that theory himself.

"You shameless bastard! You actually covet Tang San's secrets?" Xiao Wu snapped, furious.

"Keep your voice down," Qi Tian warned softly, his lips almost brushing her ear. Each word sent shivers down her spine.

"Alright, I'll release you now. Don't even think about running—Star Dou Forest is thousands of miles away. You wouldn't make it halfway."

"And don't think about killing me either. I've written several letters containing your secret. If anything happens to me, those letters will be delivered straight to the Spirit Hall."

With that, Qi Tian withdrew his Blue Silver Grass and let her go.

Xiao Wu released his arm as well, staring at him with a mix of fear, despair, and confusion.

Without another word, Qi Tian grabbed a small pack from his bed, ignored her completely, and strode out of the dormitory.

He had already made up his mind to use this vacation to hunt for a soul beast and obtain his first soul ring.

Whether or not he could eventually get the Mysterious Heaven Skill through Xiao Wu didn't matter anymore. He wouldn't be returning to Nuoding Academy.

A wise man does not linger under a collapsing wall.

Now that he was a true Soul Master, he would receive one gold coin every month. The world was vast—there was no reason to stay trapped in this small corner any longer.
