The room opened into a dimly lit space, and they all stepped out. Xuan Han immediately recognized it as Wei Jin's since he had been there a couple of times, and it was hard not to recognize Wei Jin's insane golden flames scent around the room.
"So tell me," Wei Jin muttered as he walked behind a brown desk and sat in the chair. He rested his fan against his chin and pointed towards Xu Mingyue, tapping the fan on the desk. "I want to hear only the truth. No lies. Tell me what happened? What started the fights?"
Xu Mingyue nodded and then started speaking at once. "It was Ling Yue!" he cried, his voice cracking. "He started the fight and has been causing trouble since he arrived! Ever since he gained the emperor's support, he thinks he can act above all of us, so I decided to put him in his place."
"You decided to put him in place because you feel he is favored?"
Xu Mingyue nodded.
