Chapter 33 - Chapter 33

The laboratory door opened, and Milim poked her small head in, looking around.

Her first impression was that it was clean. Various experimental instruments and lab benches were arranged in an incredibly neat and orderly fashion, giving the whole place a very comfortable feel.

Then she saw Vegapunk sitting at a giant computer, continuously tapping on the keyboard. Streams of data that Milim couldn't understand at all flashed across the screen.

Milim chose not to disturb Vegapunk. Instead, she walked into the laboratory and headed to the area where he kept his experimental products.

Milim opened the door to the storage area. Compared to the tidiness outside, this place felt much messier. This was where Vegapunk stored all his completed experiments.

In Vegapunk's words, "These are already finished experimental products, so there's no need to pay any more attention to them."

But ever since Milim found out about this place, she would come here every few days to hunt for treasures. Vegapunk always managed to create things that he thought were useless, but Milim found them very fun.

Milim rummaged through box after box of experiments. Finally, her eyes landed on a toy that looked like a game console with a screen.

After fumbling with it for a while, Milim quickly found the switch. When she turned it on, a colorful game screen appeared.

She never expected to see a game console here. Milim was thrilled. In her previous life, she had been an otaku girl who loved all kinds of games and anime.

She thought she would never be able to play video games again in this life. She never expected such a pleasant surprise. Vegapunk, you truly are a genius among geniuses.

As she marveled inwardly, her hands didn't stop moving.

Drawing on her experience with game consoles from her past life, Milim quickly figured out how to play this game.

It turned out to be a game similar to Gold Miner. At that moment, Milim became completely immersed in the virtual world.

She didn't know how much time had passed, but Vegapunk's figure suddenly appeared beside her.

"Milim, so you like to play with this thing."

Milim, who had been lost in the virtual world, finally came to her senses and looked up at Vegapunk. "You're finally done with your work."

"That's right. The current experiment has reached a bottleneck. The rest can only be solved through continuous experimentation." Vegapunk's expression was calm; he wasn't troubled by the experimental bottleneck.

It was normal for experiments to hit a bottleneck. For many things, even the highest talent was useless. In the end, one could only rely on a vast amount of data to deduce the correct answer.

"In that case, Vegapunk, do you have any more game consoles like this?" A smile appeared on Milim's face as she dangled the small bear-shaped game console in front of Vegapunk.

"I invented this one to pass the time when I had nothing to do. I haven't really delved into other games." Vegapunk looked at the game console and shook his head. With his intelligence, he could quickly beat any game.

Even if it was fun at first, he would get bored after a few hours. That was why Vegapunk hadn't made many games.

"Ah!" Milim's shoulders slumped, but then she suddenly remembered that the person who could create games was right beside her. Her eyes instantly lit up.

Milim's sparkling eyes looked at Vegapunk with hope!

Feeling uncomfortable under this shining gaze, Vegapunk turned his head to the side, a little embarrassed. "Alright, alright. Just tell me what kind of game you want, and I'll make it for you later."

"Vegapunk, you're the best!" Milim grinned, showing her teeth, and gave him a thumbs-up.

Vegapunk had an indulgent look on his face, as if he were looking at his own sister. His tone was gentle. "So, what kind of game do you want to play?"

"You wouldn't understand if I just told you. I'll draw it for you." Milim found a random notebook and started scribbling on it with a pencil.

"This game can definitely be played for a lifetime." It didn't take long. With Milim's fast hands, she quickly finished the drawing.

She handed it to Vegapunk. Vegapunk reached out, took it, and looked up. "A world made of blocks? You can continuously assemble and craft tools, and there are all sorts of strange features."

"It looks pretty good." After looking at the drawings in the notebook, Vegapapunk looked up and smiled at Milim. "This is a surprise. I didn't know you had such an imagination."

"Heehee!"

"So, what's this game called?"

Milim put her hands on her hips with great pride. "This game is called My World."

"In that case, I understand everything. When I have some free time, I'll make the game," Vegapunk nodded and put the notebook in a drawer, locking it.

Then he walked over to an experimental bench and picked up something that looked like a rubber ball.

"Now it's time to test my new invention."

Vegapunk very solemnly held up the rubber ball in his hand. "This is my new invention, the Snow Maker. It can turn a rainy day into a snowy one."

"Wow, that's amazing!" Milim clapped and cheered enthusiastically.

Vegapunk nodded in satisfaction. "All the experimental data has reached the optimal level. Now for the final practical test!"

"It's going to rain tonight. I'll need you to send this Snow Maker up into the sky." Vegapunk handed the Snow Maker to Milim.

Milim took it with great solemnity. "I never thought you could actually change the weather, Vegapunk."

Shaking his head, Vegapunk gave a wry smile. "Heh! This can hardly be called changing the weather. It's just converting the existing moisture into snow."

"It's like that snow-spraying machine I gave you before. It also works by absorbing the surrounding moisture to create snow."

"So that's how it is. That's great! I'll go tell Linlin right now, and then we can have a snowball fight together." Milim excitedly held the Snow Maker and ran towards Charlotte Linlin's office.

Vegapunk didn't stop her. He just quietly tidied up the experimental products that Milim had left scattered around.

...

Charlotte Linlin stretched. Thanks to Ryuka's help, today's work had been finished ahead of schedule, and she could rest early.

She wondered what Milim was doing right now. She was probably just wandering around somewhere.

Just as she was thinking of Milim, Milim arrived at the door. With a strong push, the office door was opened.

Milim, holding a rubber ball in her hand, rushed towards Charlotte Linlin.

"Linlin, this is Vegapunk's new invention, the Snow Maker! With this, even Spring Island will have snow. Let's have a snowball fight together then."

"Oh!" Linlin reached out and took the ball in her hand. She examined it carefully but didn't feel anything special. Perhaps this was technology.

Linlin returned the Snow Maker to Milim. "My work is done for today as well. If it's really going to snow, then I must go and see!"

"Yay!"
