"You… aren't you afraid?" Fubuki blurted.
KING glanced at her, did not answer that, and asked instead: "Can you find the three auxiliary devices?"
Fubuki froze, then nodded. "I can! One under a seat in Car 3, one in the restroom of Car 10, and one… on the luggage rack of this car!"
Her psychic power could sense abnormal energy.
"But there isn't enough time!" Anxiety colored her voice.
"Even if we split up, we can't disarm all three within fifteen minutes—let alone with the hidden enemy still out there!"
Lin Mo ignored her shock and started toward the gangway.
His steps weren't fast, but every step was steady, and somehow reassuring.
Two simple words, and Fubuki followed almost without thinking. Her Blizzard Group fell in behind, blank-faced.
Lin Mo's first target was the bomb on the luggage rack.
He stopped beneath it and looked up at the device with a blinking red light.
A complex timed explosive: a tangle of differently colored wires that would make anyone's head spin.
"Pointless!" The mad voice blared again. "That's a special bomb. Unless you're a top EOD expert, any mistake will detonate at once!"
Lin Mo ignored him, simply studying the device. He indeed couldn't disarm bombs, but he had his way.
He let his psychic power seep out, probing the structure.
A faint smile tugged at his lips.
"Found it."
He raised his hand; under everyone's horrified gaze, he didn't touch the wires at all— he simply closed his fingers around the bomb's hard metal shell.
In the blink of an eye the bomb was crushed into a lump.
Every eye bulged, hearts leapt to throats. Hey, why are you going hands-on…
The expected deafening blast never came.
First bomb, disarmed.
Crude, simple, unheard-of.
"N-no… impossible! Absolutely impossible!"
For the first time the PA voice quavered with naked panic; the arrogant laugh died, replaced by a tremor like he'd seen a ghost.
Fubuki and her people were petrified, mouths agape, eyes about to pop.
Expressionless, Lin Mo dropped the scrap to the floor, turned, and headed for Car 10.
"Next."
He strode through, the crowd parting as if by instinct.
"S-stop!"
The voice over the PA returned, shaking: "W-what are you? That was C4 with a special alloy shell! How could you—"
Lin Mo still didn't respond. He reached Car 10, entered the cramped restroom.
The second bomb was glued to the toilet tank; a red countdown clearly read "11:34."
"Don't touch it! That one has a pressure sensor! Any abnormal tampering will—"
The warning was cut off again.
Lin Mo lifted two fingers and, with speed opposite to the brute force he'd shown before— razor-precise— slid them into the densest cluster of wiring at the core.
A piercing tone. The countdown froze, then went dark.
He had simply used two fingers to kill the power core.
Such absolute control of force was more chilling than brute strength.
The broadcast fell silent.
Lin Mo yanked the dead bomb off the tank and tossed it into the sink like trash, then walked out and continued for Car 3.
Fubuki and her team had become pure background.
They trailed him mechanically, minds blank.
Fubuki's heart heaved in waves.
What terrifying power. Is he also a hero? Why have I never seen him?
By then, KING had reached Car 3.
Per Fubuki's sense, the third bomb lay under a row of seats.
This time he didn't even bother to crouch. He gripped the seatbacks of the row and gently lifted.
"Squeeee—!"
The entire row, bolts and all, tore up from the floor, which he then casually tossed into the aisle.
On the bared floor the last bomb lay quietly, its timer showing "08:49."
Expressionless, Lin Mo stepped up, raised his foot, and stomped down.
A crisp shatter—and silence.
Three auxiliary bombs, all neutralized in under five minutes, each by a different, equally uncanny method.
Throughout, Lin Mo's breathing never faltered. His heartbeat…

As the last bomb shattered and silence fell over the car, a strange, rhythmic rumble began to boom in every ear.
Thump… thump… THUMP!
It carried an incomparable pressure; everyone felt as if an invisible hand clutched their hearts, making it hard to breathe.
"W-what… is that sound?" a Blizzard Group member asked, pale and shaking.
Fubuki's pupils shrank. Her eyes locked on Lin Mo's seemingly calm chest.
With her psychic senses she could feel clearly where that terrifying sound came from.
She instantly recalled a legend whispered among the Association's leadership—about KING—
When the strongest man on earth got serious, one could hear the inner core of his power turn. People called it…

Fubuki forced out the words one by one.
