The laboratory floor shook violently, dust rained down, and the iron door was shattered as if hit by a missile.
As the dust settled, Logan got up from behind a metal cabinet, brushing off the dust, and quickly turned to check on the others.
The instant the white orb attacked, Logan shouted an order to take cover, hiding behind a heavy metal cabinet. Donald and the others quickly huddled in a corner, using a table as a shield against the explosion.
The dust kicked up by the explosion covered them all with a thick layer, making them look extremely disheveled.
"To the second floor!"
Donald looked at the broken door with a grim expression, glanced at the stairs leading to the second floor, and rushed up.
Samuel and Josh quickly followed.
Logan looked at the Hydra team about to assault the house, hesitated for a moment, then wiped a layer of dust off the wall and rubbed it on his face, covering it with soot, before rushing towards the stairs.
He didn't want Hydra to recognize him; otherwise, those lunatics might even capture him and subject him to all sorts of research.
"They're trying to escape, pursue them!"
A Hydra soldier saw the group flee toward the second floor and immediately motioned to them and ran forward.
At the same time, Donald, who had reached the second floor, pointed to a table: "Quick, bring this table over here!"
Samuel and Josh understood and, working together, tipped the table over onto the second-floor stairwell, creating makeshift cover, while raising their pistols and aiming at the corner of the stairs.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The Hydra soldiers had barely peeked around the corner when the group opened fire without hesitation.
A dense rain of bullets fell, instantly penetrating the bodies of the leading Hydra soldiers, who fell to the ground with a dull thud.
The Hydra soldiers behind were terrified by this, quickly retreating around the corner and exchanging hesitant glances.
Taking advantage of the Hydra soldiers' pause, Donald pointed to a nearby window.
Logan and the others understood, firing a few more bullets toward the stairs before running toward the window.
Logan, in the lead, delivered a kick without hesitation, the force shattering the thick glass into pieces.
The group leaped out of the window and jumped into the backyard.
However, the scene in the courtyard horrified Samuel and Josh.
"There are high walls everywhere, how are we going to get out!"
Josh, pistol in hand, looked around. The backyard looked like a makeshift playground, with tire swings, some trampolines, and so on.
In addition to these rudimentary recreational facilities, there were walls three or four meters high, even topped with spikes to prevent climbing.
"There's a back door!"
Donald looked back, making sure their pursuers weren't approaching, and then led the group toward a corner at the back of the courtyard.
It was a thick iron door embedded in the high wall, as thick as a hand, but luckily it wasn't locked.
"No car, how are we going back?" Samuel and Josh pushed hard against the door, asking Donald at the same time.
This place was at least ten kilometers from the village, and it was getting dark. In this unknown area, they could easily get lost in the dense forest!
"First, let's get rid of these guys!"
Donald kept looking back, frowning.
Pushing the heavy iron door was not easy; Samuel and Josh, working together, barely managed to open a gap for one person to pass through.
The group rushed out, but as soon as they exited, they froze.
"Shit!" Donald couldn't help but curse, a hint of fear in his eyes.
"Where do you think you're going?" A rough voice echoed in their ears, its deep tone like rolling thunder.
Logan stared intently at the figure blocking the doorway. Although there was only one person, Logan sensed the danger emanating from him.
He was an imposing figure, at least two and a half meters tall, with his entire body covered in muscle. His shoulders were as thick as buckets, and his clenched fists looked like enormous iron masses. A heavy steel helmet covered his head.
Compared to him, Logan and his companions looked like dwarves!
"Juggernaut?"
Logan looked at the giant's face and couldn't help but murmur.
This person's appearance was almost identical to Juggernaut, especially the steel helmet, but beneath it hid a completely different face.
Bang!
The burly figure stared at them, then suddenly sneered and stomped his foot.
His wide feet slammed hard onto the ground, even causing ripples to spread through the earth, as if an earthquake had occurred.
His figure, like an out-of-control truck, mercilessly slammed into the crowd.
Logan's pupils sharply contracted, and he instantly dove to the ground. Thud!
The huge body slammed hard against the high wall, shattering it and sending bricks flying everywhere, filling the air with dust.
"Shit!"
Samuel, lying on the ground, looked back at the massive hole in the wall and couldn't help but curse, his eyes filled with lingering fear.
If that had hit anyone, they would have been turned into mincemeat!
Not only him, Donald and Josh were also shocked.
Josh seized the opportunity, quickly raising his pistol and firing repeatedly at the giant.
Bang, bang, bang!
In an instant, the magazine was empty.
But, to Josh's surprise, the bullets did no damage to him!
The bullet, moving at high speed, seemed to impact against steel; the bullet head instantly flattened, becoming a sheet of iron, stuck to his chest, unable to penetrate the skin.
Josh and Samuel felt a chill run down their spines.
"Bullets are useless against him!" Donald shouted in a high-pitched voice. "This guy is a test subject bred with the Juggernaut's genes; the density of his flesh far exceeds that of tank steel. Even tank-piercing bullets can't hurt him!"
"Shit!" Josh and Samuel exclaimed at once, exchanging bewildered glances.
Logan, however, remained calm, observing the huge figure and saying, "It really is the Juggernaut's gene."
When Logan first saw this behemoth, he had a hunch. Although his size resembled Juggernaut, he was not the Juggernaut Logan knew, leading him to assume he was the product of genetic engineering.
"Now what do we do?" Josh instinctively backed up a few steps.
"Roar!"
Before anyone could answer, the burly figure roared again, pounding his chest. He seemed to have figured out who the strongest was and charged at Logan with his iron fist raised.
Seeing the burly figure charging toward him like a truck, Logan gritted his teeth, his expression cold, his fists clenched, and took a deep breath.
Clang!
The steel claws instantly shot out.
The fully extended, silver-white claws, bathed in the glow of the setting sun, exuded a dazzling sharpness.
"James... is he Wolverine?"
Samuel stared blankly at Logan's claws reflected in the sunset, observing the metal claws beneath his fists, remembering the blueprint from before, and his expression instantly froze.
