Chapter 33 - Chapter 33

"James is Wolverine!" Samuel's eyes widened as he stared at Logan's steel claws.

"I see."

Josh, startled, suddenly understood why his boss had asked him to watch James—because of the man's special identity.

He just didn't expect James to be a mutant, and moreover, Wolverine, a mutant whom so many scientists were willing to invest so many resources to replicate.

In their astonishment, the giant had already charged forward.

His massive iron fist, like a boulder, swung wildly, accompanied by a whistling sound, slamming toward Logan. The enormous fist could easily crush any steel in a single blow!

Logan's gaze was cold as he looked at the fist, which was larger than his head, showing no panic. He nimbly dodged to the side, the fist nearly grazing his clothes.

Bang!

The fist slammed hard into a nearby tree, right next to Logan's body.

The towering tree, half a meter thick, instantly shattered, sending countless wooden splinters flying. The resulting wind caused Logan's clothes to billow violently.

The huge tree went flying with a deafening roar, crushing a nearby grove of trees.

Logan, looking at the remaining stump, felt a chill run down his spine. His expression tightened as he watched the large figure approaching.

He hadn't expected this impostor to be so powerful!

As he pondered this, the large figure suddenly lifted its foot, and its massive foot swept toward Logan.

Boom!

Logan's Healing Factor hadn't fully recovered, so he didn't dare to take the blow head-on. He leaped up to dodge the powerful attack.

The large figure's kick missed, landing heavily on the ground.

Instantly, the ground rippled as if an earthquake had occurred, creating a deep crater, scattering debris and rubble everywhere.

"Shit!"

Samuel looked on in shock at the crater created by the large figure. Although he was more than ten meters away, he could still clearly feel the ground trembling!

"This guy is practically a human tank!" Samuel exclaimed in awe, his eyes filled with barely concealed fear. Looking at Logan, his face was full of worry.

"The Juggernaut is the strongest mutant I've ever seen!"

Donald also didn't hold back his praise, staring intently at the huge figure flailing its limbs.

While Juggernaut's overall strength might not match top-tier mutants like Magneto, in terms of pure power, probably no one in the entire mutant population could surpass him, not even Colossus!

And this giant, bred from Juggernaut's genes, was no less powerful than the Juggernaut himself. If Logan faced his attack now, he would be severely injured, if not killed!

"Between him and the Hulk, who is stronger?" Samuel suddenly asked, a question that crossed his mind.

His generation knew very little about mutants; he had never heard of Juggernaut, but the name Hulk was legendary. He couldn't help but compare them.

"Uh..."

Donald was momentarily speechless, and just as he was about to answer, a loud bang was heard behind them.

"Hydra is catching up!"

Josh looked back, his expression suddenly panicked.

The Hydra soldiers were rapidly approaching, a force of dozens that they couldn't resist.

"Alert!" Donald shouted, crouching behind a large tree, his eyes scanning the battle between Logan and the big guy. He said in a low voice:

"We have to buy Logan time! If we don't take out that big guy, we won't have an escape route!" With that, he raised his pistol and squeezed the trigger at the Hydra pursuers.

Josh and Samuel also took cover behind the tree trunks, returning fire at the Hydra soldiers.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The three were skilled shooters; a few bullets took down several more Hydra soldiers.

Seeing this, the other soldiers did not dare to charge recklessly, quickly taking cover behind nearby tree trunks and returning fire at Samuel and his companions.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Both sides exchanged blows, bullets whistling.

Although Hydra outnumbered their opponents and possessed superior firepower, Samuel and his men, with their accurate marksmanship, forced the enemy to stay hidden, creating a stalemate.

Meanwhile, the battle between Logan and the behemoth continued. While the behemoth was incredibly strong, he lacked agility. Logan, using his nimble movements, constantly dodged the behemoth's attacks while looking for an opening.

After the behemoth missed a strike, Logan seized the opportunity, leaping high onto a wall like a hungry wolf, his Adamantium claws swooping down on the giant.

The silver claws, glowing red in the crimson sunset, relentlessly pierced the giant's back.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

A series of deafening metallic impacts suddenly echoed through the jungle.

Logan's Adamantium claws failed to penetrate the giant's defenses, only leaving superficial scratches on the armor's surface!

Bang!

The giant quickly turned and threw a punch. The massive fist, with a dull gust of wind, headed directly for Logan's chest.

Seeing it, Logan's pupils sharply contracted, and he quickly retracted his fists, crossing them to block.

Thump!

The huge fist slammed into Logan's arm; the powerful impact instantly sent him flying, crashing hard into the high wall behind him like a cannonball.

Crack!

Countless cracks appeared on the surface of the wall, which was on the verge of collapse.

The searing pain in his back made Logan's mouth twitch in pain; even with his Adamantium skeleton, his aging body felt agonizing pain from the blow.

"Hiss!"

Samuel, witnessing it, couldn't help but gasp.

Just watching the punch gave him a chill down his spine, and he couldn't help but ask: "Can James handle that giant?"

For a moment, he vaguely felt that Wolverine wasn't so strong after all. Was it a waste of talent that Donald and the others went to such great lengths to replicate him?

Donald, on the other hand, frowned, remained silent for a while, and then said, "He's a bit old, but... he should be fine."

In truth, he wasn't entirely sure himself.

After all, even Logan in his prime struggled against Juggernaut, and only managed to win thanks to his nearly immortal Healing Factor and Adamantium alloy claws.

Logan was simply too old now. Although his Adamantium claws were still intact, he was probably too old to survive the behemoth.

Logan struggled to stand up from the wall, leaving a clear dent on the surface.

But before he could react, the ground trembled again, and the behemoth charged toward him once more. Logan was startled.

Seeing the behemoth rapidly approaching, an idea struck him. He quickly extended his claws and slashed through the high wall.

The sharp claws instantly kicked up a cloud of dust.

Logan swept the dust, sending it directly into the behemoth's eyes.

The behemoth had no time to block, its vision obscured by the dust.

Logan's expression hardened. He quickly seized the opportunity, charging toward the behemoth, his claws slashing without hesitation.

Swish!

The sharp claws sliced through the behemoth's arm with the same ease as cutting tofu.

The massive arm flew through the air before slamming onto the ground, as hot blood gushed from the severed limb.

"Ah!"

The intense pain caused the giant to scream in agony, his roar echoing through the forest.

Logan, his expression cold and stern, didn't hesitate. He leaped into the air, doing a flip before his steel claws plunged into the giant's undefended neck, severing it forcefully.

Thud!

The massive head instantly flew off, and hot blood spurted like a fountain from the empty neck, drenching Logan's body.

He lightly tapped the giant's back with his foot, using the momentum to perform a backflip, landing firmly, as blood dripped from his body.

Behind him, the decapitated giant collapsed like a rock, completely lifeless...
