Viona's POV
Even though the courier man greeted me with that wide, friendly smile, he still blinked like he couldn't keep up with his own thoughts.
I halted in front of him, still catching my breath. He still seemed stuck mid-thought.
"The fifteenth floor?"
I nodded while steadying my breath.
"Ah… the corporation department? Yes, I'm in charge of that floor. Do you need me to send something? Since I haven't left for the courthouse yet."
I shook my head. "No. I just want to ask, last Friday, do you remember taking a white envelope? You were only supposed to take the brown one, right?"
He frowned. "I didn't take the files myself. Miss Tammy handed me all the files that needed to be sent, even before I got into the elevator. So I didn't check them again. Is there a problem, ma'am?"
Then everything started to make sense.
Tammy was another probation employee who entered the company at the same time as me.
