Third Person's POV
Four days later…
The sharp echo of hurried high heels struck against the marble as Caroline rushed down the stairs.
"I can't wait any longer!" she snapped the moment she reached the ground floor.
Her wide eyes burned with restless intent, something dark enough that even her husband no longer dared to oppose her outright.
Raymond Housley kept calling his son, again and again, but the phone only repeated the same message. Out of reach.
"Wife… why don't we go to Dimitri Island again and force him to tell us the truth?"
"Force him how?" Her voice rose, tight with frustration. "We already asked him again yesterday, and he still denied it. Said I heard him wrong."
"But going there and taking the child without consent is just asking for trouble with more households. We're not only dealing with the Island. This involves the Kingstons too."
Caroline ignored him and kept walking toward the door.
