Third Person's POV
"It's fine then. You'll carry him carefully, but fast. We'll take him when one of you distracts the nanny. Ah, never mind. I'll carry my grandson myself. This is exactly the moment to prove my Pilates works."
While Caroline kept smiling, already convinced her plan was perfect and bound to succeed, the bulky man behind her could only swallow hard. He already knew how this would end, and for a brief second, he almost pitied her.
"Ma'am, if you want to back off, now is the time," he said, a trace of loyalty still pushing him to warn her.
Caroline let out a low, amused chuckle. "Back off? I'm already too deep to pull out now. It's all or nothing. And I don't accept nothing."
The elevator dinged open right after she finished speaking. The air tightened. Excitement pulsed through her, while the bulky man felt it pressing on his chest.
Caroline stepped out and headed toward the greenhouse, quick, eager.
Her eyes gleamed when another man pointed out where Roey was.
