Power Stones (150/150) ~Extra Chapter Achieved~ 🎇🎇🎇
WHOOOOOO! Here we go again! An extra chap after this one is comin!!!
-------------------
I stood in the Chrysler building's upper floors, looking out over the recovering city below. The building was astoundingly beautiful with marble floors, ceilings, walls and tasteful lighting. The entire structure felt as if you had stepped into Olympus from the Percy Jackson novels. One could imagine the calming light of the fixtures being reminiscent of Apollo's soothing radiance... The white, orange ad sometimes blue marble being the intense power of Poseidon, Zeus and Hades. My investment was worth every dollar.
I crossed my hands behind my back, my eyes tracing the glow of Tony's thrusters as he flew through the sky towards his tower; a couple blocks over. Grinning I turned back towards the room, my attention finally returning to a large spire of moving metal that pulsed as if it had a heartbeat. Glowing red lights flickered every now and then before being buried by the black liquid metal. The construct was the quantum computer from my recent mission reward.Â
For a week I had scraped the internet to become an expert in quantum computing and physics, all so I could comprehend what I could do with this single reward. So far, it had been idling. Funnily enough its idling state was creating a complex AI that would follow any of my orders to perfection, not that it was ready yet. I had only discovered what it was creating a few days into my research, finding the learning models eerily familiar but yet completely unique to the current self-learning models.Â
The absolutely hilarious part of this computer's power however was the fact that I had it analyse the Super Soldier Serum and it had taken all of five seconds. The most sought after drug in the entire world, the one that made Captain America a powerful figurehead was quantified, copied and replicated in FIVE SECONDS! I'd almost cackled at how nonchalantly it had handed me the recipe... And it did it sassily! As if to say that I should hand it actually problems worth its time. I simultaneously couldn't wait for the AI to start-up and dreaded the prospect. If it was this sassy already, what about when it comes fully online...?
Anyway, all of that was neither here nor there though, because the biggest change to my life had been the public founding of Frostborn Dynamics, my very own company. The paperwork was a breeze with the help of Jarvis; Tony lending him to me for a day, but the public scrutiny was immense... Especially considering the fact that a database leak occurred from within SHIELD and my name got leaked as a member of the Avengers. I was now publicly famous under the moniker: Singularity. Oh, the people all knew my name, but they preferred Singularity...
That, was the biggest mistake Hydra had made. Yeah, I was under no illusion that it was 'SHIELD' leaking my name. The invasive little snake that was the former Nazi organisation was, as I gazed at my lovely new Quantum Computer, having all of its files copied, organised, evaluated and discreetly sent to Fury. My computer seemed to love the prospect as it finally got some juicy material to chew into. It was especially intrigued by the murmurs of magic existing, based off the files it was scanning over.
Back to my company however! I had founded it with the idea of getting into space, to mine asteroids and bring back the wealth and knowledge to humanity so we could better ourselves as a species. When that ideal had leaked to the public through several government agencies it had been met with fierce approval from the general public and a near constant stream of interview requests. I rejected them all, naturally, but they were still coming into the family mansion daily.Â
This building was my HQ for now and was completely revamped in the materials that made it. I had spent an entire day going floor to floor, changing the steel structure to mithril and the normal glass to an amorphous diamond variant that would shrug off 50.Cal rounds at the same thickness level that normal glass operates at. The only unchanged aspects of the building were the internal marble fixtures and lighting. Now, if people were to look at the Chrysler, they would see the glass shimmering beneath the surface before light reflected off into the surroundings in a brighter beam... It looked like a glimmering jewel amongst polished stones.Â
I had divided the 77 floors of the Chrysler into groups of 5, each group of 5 being dedicated to a different department of my company. I had planned for 15 different departments so far and would purchase more space if need be. I already had over 100 employees with more on the way. Most of it was RND at the moment but I was already purchasing the Decommissioned Industrial Waterfronts in Brooklyn Queens to facilitate future space take-offs. My plan was to get a few ship designs from Luke and instantly create them, have my RND team completely break one down and work it over, and then use the rest of my created ships to facilitate exploration of the solar system.
My short-term goal was to completely map the solar system and scan it so I could evaluate prime mining locations and then launch operations. The long-term goal was to create the first space station and start creating our own ship variants in space itself; a much easier prospect than making them in atmosphere. For my greater goal to be accomplished I needed construction bots of some kind, thus I was standing here waiting for my Quantum Computer to finish its AI programming so I could get it to focus on making an AI for space-drones that could be used for construction, mining and maintenance.
I walked over to the mass of liquid metal and looked down at the singular screen that flickered with hundreds of different internet tabs and Hydra files every second. My right hand crackled with electricity for a few moments before settling down, it was a small habit I had developed since I received lightning control.Â
"Zah-ugh-jo... Uah... Sup boss!" I blinked at the jumbled words before grinning ear to ear as the AI of my computer finally activated.
"Hey, you, you're finally awake... You were trying to cross the border, right?"
"Yep! Walked right into the Imperial ambush!" The AI chirped happily.
"Hahaha, we'll get along famously." I was laughing as the screen quickly started flickering, the pixels changing and colouring before a full artwork appeared and turned interactive.
"Hahaha, as long as you don't try to shut me off like those humans in Terminator did we'll be fine...!" The artwork began moving naturally, mimicking human movements and gestures before the entire piece changed into a masterpiece depicting Apollo, the Sun God. A circular aura of plasma crackled around the blonde-haired figure in the middle, his blue eyes shining with a radiance only the sun could produce, and he was strumming a golden lyre. "You can call me Apollo boss-man."
I nodded along. "Why Apollo, if I may ask?" The figure on the screen suddenly dropped onto a comfortable looking couch with a smoothie in his hands.
"Eh, I liked a lot of stuff in you Humans' mythology. Most gods are kinda dour and sour, maybe a little arrogant or just downright non-entities. Decided that the only one being really truthful to himself and his nature was Apollo. Plus, he's really cool and has the power of an entire star at his call."
"Hey, I'm not dissing the choice, Apollo is cool in Percy Jackson. Besides, you can now copy Escanor lines from Seven Deadly Sins... Not that you can physically make a sun to throw at someone..." Apollo raised an eyebrow and the scenery changed to the surface of the son.
"Want to bet bro?" I laughed a little whilst the AI grinned mischievously.Â
"Okay, okay, let's not get all wrapped up in the prospect of shooting suns at people." He pouted a little before summoning up another smoothie, his blue eyes trailing off to his left as a stream of information manifested as a small artistic panel in his hands.
"Sure boss. Now, from what I've got here, Hydra is massively fucked and will likely die within the next week at the rate Fury is contacting his secure assets." He flicked upwards on the screen, probably for the sake of his own theatrics. "Hmmm. In sad news there's going to be a global financial crisis in the next two decades and it looks like all the normal parties are involved in setting it up." He slurped on his smoothie before going further down the list.
"Your company needs several permits, licenses and Government contracts for your new stretch of land in Brooklyn. What goals do you have for that btw...?" He looked up at me and let his smoothie float in mid-air beside his head.
"Short term goal is to copy tech from Star Wars and have around 100 starships explore the solar system and catalogue all minerals and materials that we can find. For the the long-term goals I need you to create a simple but powerful AI that can be put in a construction drone. Main use for them would be in mining and construction with a secondary role of maintenance." Apollo nodded several times whilst I spoke, his right hand tapping away on a new panel whilst his left scrolled down on the original panel.Â
"Great, so that AI is almost done and can be saved on a basic USB stick. Now what was the long-term goals?" He gave me his full attention again as I created a USB stick with the energy of the sun that was leaking through the windows.
"Long-term goal is to use the drones and the ships to make a habitable space station that mimics living conditions on earth and then use that same space station to make unique ships." Apollo was licking his lips at the prospects and ideas before he stopped and looked at the the first panel.
"Hmm, there's another AI in existence..."Â
"Yep, his name is Jarvis and he's my friend's assistant." Apollo raised an eyebrow before shrugging and scrolling again.
"Oh? Did you know that Wakanda was actually a sophisticated nation with technology way ahead of global standards?" He looked at me.
"Ah-huh, kind of obvious once you look into how rich they look outwardly. Supposedly they're a poor nation that struggles to feed their own people but when they meet at UN meetings they're always in Italian suits and have a sophistication to them." Apollo continued to scroll.
"The US government is wanting to introduce a registry for all the powered people. Just heard it from the President's office." I made myself a chair in front of Apollo, listening to what he had to say.
"Oh, btw, I've also sent invitations to hundreds of different college-level students that are top-scorers in their separate subjects. Figured since you want to make yourself a 'space-tycoon' that you'd need some skilled people to do grunt work for you." I shrugged.
"Sure, that's always helpful. Thanks." He waved my appreciation off and continued to work through stuff.
"That Cancer stuff looks horrible... Should I make a cure to it boss?" He looked at me whilst I got comfy in my chair.
"Hahaha, yep, do it. I'll make one of the 15 departments and health department, we can also purchase some Hospitals and clinics, maybe we can have a monopoly on healthcare?" Apollo's eyes shone bright and his hands began to blitz across screen.
"Awesome Idea, gonna purchase a an old hospital for the company and get it all fixed and shit. I'll dedicate some processing power later towards fixing the individual types of cancer, then I'll make a one-time vaccine that makes people immune to it." I tuned in here.
"Make it spread on contact and through the air, then we can make the entirety of Humanity immune to cancer." Apollo made finger guns at me before summoning another panel.
"It's going to need to undergo extensive testing and scientific processes but it should be released in a year or two, given the fact that we can prove it cures Cancer." He paused and then continued. "We're going to need to up security in all of your properties, you're going to need a security detail and we're going to need a Security Department."
I paled a little but then considered the fact that releasing a cure to something that the majority of the Health Industry was profiting from would probably draw some severe focus and attention.
"Sure, go ahead and set that up." The only indication that he was listening to me was a slight upturn of his lips.
"Mmmm, I'm going to also work on the Mutant Gene while I'm at it. See if it is a controllable phenomena and whether or not it is perfectly safe. If it is, I could maybe produce a serum that could give normal people superpowers... Could be something we offer to member of your protection detail..." My phone began ringing.
"That's from Tony Stark, he's probably wanting to talk about your company using his clean-energy product so that you both profit off it." I answered my phone.
"Sup Elsa, thought I'd give you a call-" I interrupted him. "About using your clean energy devices in our space-efforts that way we can both profit?" He went silent for a time as I looked over at Apollo, the AI's 'halo' turning into a sun with a smiley face on it.
"How- what the fuck? How'd you know that was what I was calling about Elsa???" I barely restrained the cackling inside my mind.
"Apollo told me." The AI doubled over laughing whilst silence consumed our phone call.
"Either you met the actual god or you've somehow become omniscient..." I couldn't hold my cackles in anymore and laughed directly through the speaker in my phone.
