Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 — Nimi’s Test

Scene: The day of Nimi's school entrance exam.Inside the mansion hall, Hura, Rana, Suna, and Nimi stand together.

Hura: Nimi, good luck for your exam. I completely trust that you'll pass the test.Nimi: Yes! (confident)Suna: And don't overdo it. Even if you miss this chance, there will still be five more opportunities to enter Doramai School.Nimi: Don't worry, Mommy! I'll pass this time for sure.Rana: And even if you don't, don't worry. I'm the principal of that school. I can just let you in directly — you don't even have to take the test.Nimi: ! No, Papa! That would be cheating!Rana: O-oh, okay!Nimi: Okay then — Mommy, Grandpa, Papa — I'm leaving now!Everyone: Good luck, Nimi!

Scene: Nimi leaves the mansion.

Rana: Hahh… Time really flies. Nimi's already old enough to go to school now.Suna: Right… It's hard to believe she's already eleven.

Scene: Doramai School. The school is surrounded by smooth stone walls, with a massive red-and-white main building at its center. Four open grounds surround the campus — the entrance tests are being held on each of them.

Scene: Ground A — Nimi and other students are taking their tests.

Librarian: Today, all of you are here to take the entrance exam for Doramai School. Best of luck, everyone! Now, one by one, step forward and touch this wall.

Scene: Students are lined up on the ground, while the librarian stands on a small stage with a few other teachers. Beside them stands a short silver-colored wall.

The first student walks up and touches the wall.Suddenly, a gust of wind appears around the wall.

Librarian: This wall reveals your elemental affinity. For example, this student's element is Wind. However, that doesn't mean he can only use wind-type abilities. Nowadays, since magic and skills have merged into one system, the element matters less than before.

Random Student: Sir, if we can use other elements too, then what's the point of checking our element? And if that's the case, why did only Wind appear for him? Shouldn't other elements show up too?

Librarian: Good question. We check elements to identify your natural affinity — the element you're most compatible with. Before the system change, magic and skills were separate, but now they're considered the same. You can still use skills freely, and magic according to your element.

As for your second question — yes, anyone can use other elements, but not with the same strength. For example, this student's main element is Wind. That means he's very skilled in wind abilities, while he might be weaker with Fire. Meanwhile, if someone else's element is Fire, they could still use wind abilities, but not as effectively.

Other Teacher: In short, this wall shows which element you are strongest in.Librarian: A-ah, yes, exactly! Right!Students: Ahh… I see.

Librarian: Okay, next please!

Scene: One by one, students come forward. Fire, Wind, Water, and other elements appear.

Then it's Nimi's turn. She steps forward and places her hand on the silver wall.

Small golden rings begin to form on the wall — glowing and circling until they form a complete golden pattern.

Nimi: Huh…?

The students stare in confusion.

Teacher 1: What kind of element is that?Teacher 2: I… I don't know.Librarian: ! T-this is… Illusion! An ancient element! It's extremely rare to see anyone with the Illusion Element in this era! (shocked)

Nimi: Illusion element… (softly)Librarian: You're very lucky — you've been blessed with a unique element!Nimi: Yes!

Librarian: Okay, that concludes the element test. Now for the next round — the mini battle test! Out of 28 students, only 14 will pass.

Scene: Ground BAll students stand inside a large ring.

Librarian: Alright! When I call your name, step into the ring. When I say "Start," begin your match. Clear?Everyone: Yes, sir!

One by one, battles begin — some students pass, some fail.

Finally, Nimi's turn arrives.

Librarian: Nimi Dosa and Ropa Ruru!

Both girls step into the ring.

Librarian: Begin!

Nimi and Ropa face each other. Ropa charges forward and throws a punch at Nimi — it hits, but her target vanishes.

Ropa: What—?!

It was an illusion clone! The real Nimi is still standing in her original position.

Suddenly, Nimi appears behind Ropa.

Ropa: Huh!?

Before she can react, Nimi kicks her leg, then quickly punches her back. Ropa loses balance and falls onto the ground.

Librarian: Match over! Nimi is the winner!Nimi: Yes!

Librarian: Now, for the final test — how many of you pass will depend entirely on your performance.Nimi: How many tests are left?

Scene: Ground CSeven students and three teachers stand together.

Librarian: This test will measure your physical ability. You need to complete one full lap around this ground — within the given time. Everyone, go to the starting point.

The students line up.

Librarian: Start!

The race begins. They must finish within five minutes. Most students are fast, while a few lag behind.

After a few minutes, only three students reach the finish line before time runs out.

Librarian: So, except for those three, everyone else fails. The names of the students who passed are: Kula Jiji, Nimi Dosa, and Lopa Resa. Congratulations!

Nimi: Yes! I did it!
