The continuous inner conflict between the ninja of the hidden leaf raged on. It wasn't a flashy battle but a brutal one.
Itachi and Shisui were moving like devils on the battle field. In any other environment they would kill with extreme efficiency. But on this day they worked differently to stop the Anbu without having to kill them. Shisui used his body flicker technique to move across the battle field and cut away at his enemies with extreme precision. Itachi would follow up with a range of attacks from that landed the ending blow. Not to kill but to incapacitate when possible.
Kekkashi and Asuma were fighting Fū Yamanaka, one of Danzo's top men. The two were keeping Fū far away from Danzo while trying to subdue him. Asuma attacked with his close-quarters taijutsu and kenjutsu hybrid style, his chakra-infused trench knives kept Fū on the defensive. While Kekkashi in tandem used a kunai with taijutsu and supported Asuma on his assault.
Fū struggled to take on the two ninja at the same time. He was barely able to defend against Auma's powerful strikes, and with Kekkashi of the Sharingan supporting him. Fū knew he didn't have a likely chance of beating either one of them. He wanted to look for Torune to hold off Asuma so he could take kekkashi with less support.
Suddenly a puff of black dust cloud filled the air covering Fū line of sight. Then he tried to get out of the dust cloud but was stop by a wall. He noticed was a wall of Earth, that's when Fū heard Asuma and Kekkashi. "Fire Release Fire: Ball jutsu....Fire Release: Ash Pile Burning." The dark dust clod ignited and the fireball hit him simultaneously cause a huge fire explosion.
Meanwhile Torune Aburame was busy fighting Kurenai and Mikoto. Torune used his ninjutsu to create a insect clone. Mikoto played support while Kurenai was the main attacker. A flurry of slashes and strikes were used against Torune. While Mikoto enhanced her body with chakra to keep the insect clone off of Kurenai.
That's when Torune started to do a quick succession of hand signs. and he ripped off his clothing to show his fair skin turn purple. "Now Mikoto." Kurenai yelled. Then in a instant Mikoto's black eyes turned red as she activated her Sharingan. Three tomoe's appeared in her red irises. Mikoto then threw a number of shuriken and weaved hands signs in a quick transition.
"Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire." The shuriken's Mikoto threw then ignited into tiny phoenixes. They pierce and rip threw one of the Torune's. Then a second later it was revealed to be the insect clone as burned to ashes. The other tiny fire projectiles soared across to the real Torune.
Torune dodge and managed to get some space from the two kunoichi. Then in a split second Mikoto appeared in his blind spot with incredible speed.
"What the hell..?" Torune said. Until Mikoto said, "Fire Release: Great Flame." I powerful hot stream of fire hit Torune head on engulfing him in fire. He a managed to get out the way of the of the powerful flame after being hit, but his body was covered in 1st degree burns with some 2nd degree burns just barely forming.
As Torune was panting from the exhaustion of the pain Kurenai appeared behind him. Torune noticed to late and couldn't respond in time. Kurenai already had her justu ready. " Ninja art: Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death."
As Torune knelt a tree began to grow from the ground in great speed coiling around him. His entire body was getting consume and Torune found himself unable to move no matter how much he struggled. Back on the battlefield Mikoto and Kurenai stood over Torune limp body.
"Good job Mikoto senpai. You gave me the opening I need to trap him in my genjustu. You still move great on the battlefield." Kurenai said.
Mikoto shook her head as sweat dripped from it. "I appreciate the praise but I'm still to rusty to say that about myself. Let's get him out of here and go back up the others."
Kurenai nodded. "Right..."
Forest of Death....
Hiashi and Hizashi Hyuga were fighting along side each as they fought against higher elite Anbu root members. The two's Byakugan's were activated as they stood back to back. Their 360 degree vision gave their opponents no openings. Shuriken and Kunai's were thrown, whether from their gentle fist or the rotation the two blocked every attack.
Then four Root members stood next to each other and began to weave hand signs. Then they placed their hands on the ground. "Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bomb." The four said in unison. A large dragon-like head formed from the earth, as it opened its mouth and began shooting numerous mud balls towards Hiashi and Hizashi with extreme speed and force.
Hiashi and Hizashi stood calm and composed as the balls flew near them destroying the ground and tree's behind them. "Are you ready brother." Hiashi asked. Hizashi nodded "Lead the way, I have your back brother."
The Hiashi got into a ready stance that and pressed his open palm forward. "Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven." Hiashi stepped forward spinning and deflected the high speed mud balls. The balls was barely touched as their trajectory was altered. Causing them to launch away from the two Hyuga's.
Hizashi moved in succession with his brother as they deflects the muds balls with extreme precision but making it look like it was effortless. The two moved forward at the same cadence side by side. Each one deflecting and moving so fast they're movement's couldn't be perceived by the Anbu root ninja.
Like redirecting the flow of a never ending river the twin Hyuga men were unstoppable together. No attack managed to reach them before it was sent away. As the two stood near the mouth of the earth dragon the mud balls became quicker the closer they got. That's when Hiashi gave the signal.
"Now..."
Then both Hiashi and Hizashi got into the gentle fist stance pulling their inner arms together at the same time. Then suddenly the air bent slightly as a huge amount of force and chakra built up. Then as the two launched their palms forward together A powerful invisible force launched from their hands. "Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm," The force ribbed through and destroyed the mud balls and earth dragon in a instant. The force of the attack sent the four anbu ninja's flying backwards smashing into the tree's and boulders.
"That was dangerous. I'm glad we took care of that quickly, it felt like if that went on for a little longer we would have been in trouble. " Hiashi said.
"Well it's a good thing we had each other's backs. " Hizashi said. Hiashi looked at his brother and gave a nod. "Let's go back up Lord third and Lord Fugaku." Hiashi said.
Explosions could heard as the ground shook where Fugaku and Hiruzen stood as they fought Danzo. Danzo exchanged quick strikes against Hiruzen, while Danzo fought with a short blade enhanced with a wind release vacuum blade. Hiruzen had his summon Enma in his Adamantine Staff form. The clashes were not long as Hiruzen had the edge over Danzo, and when the two would separate Fugaku would appear inches away from Danzo who was still distracted with Hiruzen.
As Fugaku's sharingan stared intensely at Danzo, the old man only laughed. " Your genjustu's won't work on me Lord Fugaku. Thanks to my sharingans and other implants not even your Mangekyō Sharingan could affect me."
"Is that so? Then let's test that theory."
Danzo's eyes widen as he realized Fugaku was behind him while the Fugaku Infront of him disappeared in smoke.
A shadow clone why didn't I notice that? Then behind the clone the smoke where the clone was he saw Hiruzen form hands signs. Then Danzo hear something that sent a shiver down his spine. In front of him was Hiruzen. "Fire Release: Flame Dragon Missile jutsu," a large powerful stream of flames from released from Hiruzens mouth. Fugaku jumped up high to a tree to avoid the attack, but as Danzo tried to move found ninja wire trapping him to the ground.
The flames engulfed him body and all. But Fugaku and Hiruzen new about Izanagi, so Fugaku stood upside down from a large tree to scan the battle field. Within moments Danzo was behind Hiruzen with no burn damage to speak of. In that moment Fugaku moved quickly. Right as Danzo was going to strike Hiruzen from behind the Adamantine Staff moved and blocked the attack on it's own.
That's when Fugaku appeared Infront of Danzo ready with his next Justu. "Fire Release: Great Fireball," As a extremely large fireball consumed Danzo and a shadow clone of Fugaku moved Hiruzen out of the way.
"Thank you Lord Fugaku."
That's when Fugaku and his clones eyes opened wide noticing where Danzo was again. As everyone turned their heads to see the tree above them Were Fugaku just was stood a stoic Danzo. He weaved hands signs together and then said.
"Wind release: Vacuum Sphere," Danzo gave powerful breath of compressed wind chakra that formed a large sphere and sent it towards Fugaku and Hiruzen. The large sphere slammed down to the ground, as Fugaku and Hiruzen flickered away just out of the range of the attack.
Then without a word both threw shuriken upward towards Danzo followed by weaving hands signs. "Shuriken Shadow Clone Justsu." Numerous shuriken's rushed towards Danzo from all angles. Danzo moved fast dodging what he could and blocking the other shuriken. He managed to get cut by a few but make it through the attack.
"Is that all you got Hiruzen don't tell me your age is catching up to you old friend. What about you Lord Fugaku, I expected more from thee Wicked Eye Fugaku."
That's when Danzo vision began to get blurry and he felt off balance. "What.. did I get hit with something?" Danzo just heard a feint sounds that got more and more load until he recognized it as Frogs croaking.
"What is this?" Then before Danzo knew it he was submerge in a prison of water unable to move. He then noticed Four large toad samurai encompassing the cube. Danzo felt his mind drift as he lost control.
Back in the real world Danzo laid on the ground as his Hashirama cell arm filled with Sharingans was served from his body, and his Sharingan eye was taken. Standing above the body was Fugaku the Sharrigan in his bloody hand. Next to him was Jiraiya who in sage mode with a giant blade that separated Danzo's arm. On both is shoulders sat the Great Toad Sages, Fukasaku and Shima.
"So Menma was right, Danzo wasn't immune to my genjustsu and Lord Jiraya's attack would be the key to our victory." Fukaku said.
Hiruzen nodded. "We just needed to weaken him and get him off guard. I'm even more surprised that your genjustsu worked Lord Fugaku and held him until Jiraiya came in and used what ever that was."
"It's considered one of the most powerful genjutsu in the world Old man. It's a frog song that has been passed down through the generations of Mount Myōboku. Your lucky cause only Old man Fukasaku and grandma Shima are the only toad sages that can preform it. So now Dnazo will be trapped like that until you need them to release the genjustsu." Jiraiya with a small smirk on his face.
Hiruzen nodded. "Good lets end this battle and get all these ninja that survived locked up and prepared for investigation."
That's when Itachi, Shisui and Shikaku appeared before the Hokage. "Lord third we are here to make my report." Said Itachi.
"Go ahead Itachi."
Itachi then nodded. "There were 50 Root Anbu ninja in total. 10 have been slain, while 20 are injured with just 10 being in critical condition. The other 10 are subdued and being restrained."
Then Shikaku spoke next. "Medical ninja have been sent for and are en route. The Anbu base was raided successfully. We found children and other individuals in rough shape. But so far they are cooperating."
"Good. Let's clean up here and head back to the village. I want Danzo under watch by the 24/7 Ibiki and Inoichi will have a long week with all this."
"Don't worry Lord third the Uchiha's will be of assistance wherever you need us." Said Fugaku
Hiruzen paused from that statement. He knew if he trusted the Uchiha's instead of Danzo this wouldn't have happened. If he paid attention to things like before then maybe this wouldn't happen again. It's the incident of his father happening again. If Minato was here none of this would have happened Hiruzen believed that for certain. But it was Menma is son. A three year old child that opened his eyes to the truth.
"Lord Fugaku I have something I want to ask you before I present it to the Daimyo." Hiruzen said
"What is Lord Third?" Fugaku said surprised by Hiruzen's statement.
"How would you feel about taking my position as the 5th Hokage?"
