After the first interspecies war between humanity and their extraterrestrial invaders, the old world was broken down and a new one emerged from the ruins. Somethings over the years remained the same while other things changed.
Currency was one of these things that had changed. When the new world emerged, the old currencies of different countries were dropped and a new one was brought up, CNT, which was short for Colbor Node Token.
It was now Earth's official currency and it was a digital currency.
Axel never really had a source of income just like many other students like him. He wasn't from a rich family or powerful enough to work for a wealthy Empire. He solely lived off the funds provided by the government before arriving at the academy.
It looks like at the academy they still provided funds as well, but it wouldn't be enough in the nearest future.
Also, once he graduates from the school, he will no longer be eligible for the funds, he will need to find a way to make more CNTs sooner or later. Right now though, he was more concerned with settling in and leveling up.
Axel arrived at the dormitory complex. It was similar to his apartment complex back at Seaside Colony, except this one was much bigger and advanced.
Four large buildings stood apart from each other, each building was labelled from One To Four.
It wouldn't take a genius to know that the four buildings were for four specific set of people, from the first years down to the fourth years.
Axel looked at his device and he quickly checked the room that was assigned to him. [1-031]
He immediately went inside the first building. Not long after, he found his room number and outside waiting for him were his things. His small bag and another one he didn't recognize.
The second bag was an Oval Corp standard issued bag. Inside it, Axel found a uniform and other material.
He picked the bags up and opened the door and the surprise waiting inside for him was well…surprising.
"Ah! There he is. What took you so long?!"
It was none other than Ares. Rick was also there unpacking his things by the corner. Somehow, the three of them had ended up as roommates. Coincidence?
"We're all roommates. Now I can make sure the both of you awaken and become as powerful as me." Ares grinned, pointing at his collar tag, with his level on display [Spectra 3]
Axel proceeded To also unpack his things and after he was done, he crashed on his bed. There were a total of three beds in the room, that meant that it was a three person room.
Axel sighed as he played in his bed. The day had been one hell of a day. He decided to open up the system to get some sort of relief.

'Just ten more to go. I need to get more missions if I want to level up'
That was true. The only way to get more Exp was to get more missions. Axel remembered the daily mission but that only gave him 5 Exp the last time. He needed 10 to complete his level 1.
Axel also figured out that the system gave him missions based on his situation. Anytime he found himself in a kind of situation, the system gave him a mission in regard to it.
His current situation right now was laying on his bed doing absolutely nothing, there was no way in hell he would be getting a mission if he stayed put. He decided to go for a walk outside the building. Explore the place and see if he would find something that would pique the system's interest.
He sprung off his bed and headed straight for the door.
"Oi, where you off to?" Ares asked, his gaze was fixated on his own device's screen. For some reason he had trouble navigating.
"I'm going out for a walk. Be back soon." Axel said simply.
"Alrigt, ginger. Be careful," Ares yawned. "Something tells me you do not want to be walking at night in a place like this."
'It's night time?' Axel wondered. He pushed the door open and stepped into the hallway. It was night time alright. The time is past 7.
Regardless, Axel went for his long walk or rather, long search for a new mission.
Axel walked around the school, making sure he took note of landmarks so as not to get lost for the school was a rather huge place. He walked past the Cafeteria, The Lounge and eventually he exited the Complex.
He looked around and decided to walk over to the large arena. It was really a masterpiece, how large it was…

Down at the school gym, in the dark hallway, nothing could be heard, except grunting.
A student was pinned to the wall by another student who delivered fast punches to his stomach, repeatedly.
"I told you, Kyle. Do not mess with my girl, you didn't listen, did you?" The student delivered another blow to his gut.
"I didn't mess with her, she came to me. I–I told her to stay away, she didn't listen." The student known as Kyle confessed, blood dripped from his mouth but his assailant had no sign of stopping.
"Bullshit!" He barked, "If you really wanted her to stay away you would have pushed her away, you were enjoying the way she held you hand right? I thought after coming to the academy you would stay away but you refused to, right?"
"No no! I wasn–"
Another punch landed on him, snapping one of his ribs. A sharp grunt escaped his mouth, loud and unrelenting.
"No one is going to help you, Kyle. So don't bother making any sound."
The student was about to hit Kyle again when a footstep echoed from the far end of the hallway. Both of them froze and they glanced toward the direction of the echoing footstep.
"Make a sound and I'll break your jaw." The student threatened.
The footsteps became louder and clearer until someone emerged from the shadows.
"Keep walking, mind your own business." The student said flatly, but it seemed like the person before him wasn't listening. "I said walk away, or you wanna join him?"
The person simply smiled, like he had been waiting for this moment all his life.
His scruffy brown hair swayed with excitement and his green eyes gleamed with greed as he read a message displayed on a translucent screen in front of him.
