Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 Ambush on Sixshot

Chapter 32 Ambush on Sixshot

"What a troublesome guy! My disguise is almost blown. If he sees my real face before I shake him off, things will get complicated."

In truth, when dealing with a pursuer like Sixshot, merely running away was unrealistic. The best course of action was to take the initiative and strike first ... not necessarily to kill this Decepticon warrior, but at least to wound him badly enough so he couldn't continue the chase.

In open space, Starscream would've been completely lost attempting such a thing. But this environment ... this chaotic magnetic zone ... was his most familiar terrain, and here, the plan was possible.

"Boom!"

It was a small but incredibly fast air-to-air missile. However, Starscream had no intention of targeting Sixshot directly. Instead, he fired it toward a chaotic region above Sixshot's head.

Due to the accumulation of cosmic dust, a massive, irregular formation had taken shape ... obscuring vision. But Starscream knew exactly what it was: an old rocket launch platform, long abandoned but still relatively intact.

Starscream's attack targeted the rocket base's connecting joint. If that point was destroyed, the gigantic structure would collapse headfirst ... crashing straight into Sixshot's position. If Sixshot got caught in the impact, he'd be in serious trouble.

"What? A heat-seeking missile? What's going on? But your targeting system should be getting scrambled by the electromagnetic interference here, right? Your aim is pathetic!"

As an experienced Transformer, Sixshot instantly identified the type of missile. When he realized it wasn't aimed directly at him, he relaxed slightly, assuming the attacker hidden in the shadows had simply missed.

In reality, Starscream hadn't used any thermal lock-on system. He had aimed purely from memory and a few visual markers, using his standard optical sensors.

"Boom!"

Starscream's aim wasn't bad at all ... his missile struck exactly where he'd intended. However, the thick clouds of dust muffled the destruction. The base collapsed almost silently at first, only the faint hiss of falling debris could be heard.

Sixshot, newly arrived and unfamiliar with the surroundings, failed to see through Starscream's sinister ploy. He immediately transformed into robot mode, laser pistol in hand, alert and scanning the shadows.

"Wretched impostor! You're panicking too, aren't you? You'd better come out and surrender! I, Sixshot, have conquered countless cosmic mazes. If you'd read the Decepticon archives, you'd know I'm not bluffing! I may not have seen this area before, but I'll find my way out before you do!"

Well, as they say ... skill breeds arrogance. Sixshot was definitely showing a bit of that.

Yet just as he was boasting about his prowess, the massive base finally broke loose from all obstructions, roaring deafeningly as it plummeted straight toward him. It was as if the entire zone were collapsing.

"What? What's happening? Sixshot, transform! Jet mode!"

Although his reaction was swift, this was not Sixshot's domain. He transformed instantly into his jet mode, but the enormous rocket base crashed into the ground with a thunderous boom, throwing up massive clouds of dust. The impact shattered the structure into countless fragments, scattering them like shrapnel.

Unfortunately, one large piece of metal tore through Sixshot's left wing. A thick black smoke trailed from it as his jet body tilted sharply to the right ... a clear sign of imminent crash!

But as a Decepticon supersoldier, he wouldn't be defeated that easily.

"Sixface, transform! Giant Wolf mode!"

In such rugged terrain, any mechanical or humanoid form was at a disadvantage. However, Sixface possessed a transformation mode resembling a massive wolf ... powerful limbs, agile balance, and claws built for this environment.

In beast mode, Sixface could even conceal his damaged wing beneath his body, allowing his repair systems to mend it gradually. The minor damage would heal within ten minutes ... a crucial ability that let him sustain prolonged combat.

"Well now, no wonder you're called Sixface! So that's one of your forms! Now I see where your name comes from!"

Watching this formidable Transformer, Starscream immediately understood why Sixshot was ranked among the top ten Decepticon warriors. Normally, first-generation Decepticons like Starscream or Megatron could only transform into two forms at most, while newer ones might manage three. But Sixshot ... terrifyingly ... had six! Six distinct modes of combat!

Moreover, this gigantic mechanical wolf seemed perfectly suited for this wild terrain. The way it moved with such effortless power even made Starscream ... the local veteran ... feel a pang of envy.

"Wait, did you attack that way on purpose? Is this trap you set just for me, Sixshot? I never expected to meet such a meticulous opponent today! Forget Megatron or Starscream ... even across all the Decepticons, there's no one as calculating as you. Could you actually be Soundwave in disguise?"

Well then, it seemed Sixshot wasn't lying ... in the eyes of true Decepticon elites, Megatron and Starscream were of the same breed: physically strong, mentally fragile.

Now that Megatron's status was being questioned… was it really okay to talk about him like that?

"Hey, hey, hey ... are you thinking of taking Megatron's place? Want me to help you plan something?"
