"How is he doing, doctor?" Ryker gets up from where he had been sitting when the door to the emergency room opened.

"Why do you look like that? He is out of danger," Chloe wept, sighing tiredly, "He must be important to you as you wait here for hours," She goes to take a seat, sitting back as she watched the ceiling, "The boy was merely made it out of danger and he would not have survived the day."
Ryker takes a seat, his heart shattering at the fact that he could have been sitting idly in his house with the news of Mylo's death reaching him.
What could he have done by then?
"What about his parents?"
"I don't know the details but it seems he was getting sold off by them."
