Chapter 139 - Chapter 139: The King's Blessing

In this world, beauty comes in many forms, and each woman holds her own unique charm.

Yamato's allure lies in her mix of mature curves and childlike innocence.

Olvia radiates the elegance of a scholar, the strength of resolve, and the grace befitting the mother of Nico Robin.

And then there's Gion—defined not by fragility, but by sheer power, honed muscles capable of shattering stone.

Jaeger, who had spent ample time with her, knew the power behind those long legs now resting on his shoulders.

Even in this pirate world teeming with monsters and giants, women rarely rival men in raw physical strength.

For Gion to reach this level… the sweat, the pain, the perseverance—it was immense. But now, all of it served Jaeger.

Eventually, Jaeger stepped out of the cabin, looking refreshed.

"Saint Jaeger!"

Akainu, who had been waiting outside, straightened and spoke with reverence,

"We've received word from the Admiral of All Beasts. Wano is ready. Just say the word."

"Good," Jaeger nodded, a white light flickering in his pupils before he reached out and casually tore open space like parchment. The surreal ease of it filled Akainu with renewed awe.

From beyond the shimmering void stepped a giant of a man—Kaido, now adorned in navy regalia. No longer the drunken beast of Wano, but a navy admiral, sworn to Jaeger's cause.

"Saint Jaeger," Kaido greeted with the utmost respect.

Unlike Akainu, who had merely been defeated, Kaido had died—felled by Jaeger's Blue Sky Death, his body obliterated save for the head.

Only through a miracle—those magical fairy beans—had he returned. To Kaido, Jaeger wasn't a man. He was a god.

"All set?" Jaeger asked casually.

Kaido gave a short nod. "Yes. I've left King behind to assist Lady Toki. With so many Marines stationed there, even if the rebels and slaves try to resist, it won't matter."

His eyes darted around before landing on Jaeger again.

"Where's my foolish daughter?"

"Resting," Jaeger replied with a small smile.

"She had a long day. Let her sleep."

"…I see."

Kaido's gaze turned complicated. On one hand, it stung to think of his daughter so thoroughly claimed.

On the other… what greater fortune could she have than being loved by a man like Jaeger?

After all, Yamato had grown attached to him quickly—so much that she'd once driven off Stussy in a fit of jealousy, yet Jaeger hadn't even scolded her.

That alone said everything. As a father, he could only step back now. Yamato was blessed.

He reached into his robe and pulled out an old, worn wooden box, presenting it with both hands.

"Saint Jaeger. This is the Mythical Zoan: Dog-Dog Fruit, Model 'Okuchi no Makami'. Once Yamato eats it, she'll be able to transform into a white wolf with ice powers. Should I prepare another for her, or will this suffice?"

Jaeger took the fruit with an almost boyish grin. He imagined Yamato's silly expression paired with fluffy white fur and laughed softly.

"No need to change it. This will do nicely."

Kaido nodded, then stepped back with a spark in his eye. The warship would arrive soon. Roger—that Roger—was coming.

A thought crossed his mind. Was it shameful, as a former emperor of the sea, to now serve under a Celestial Dragon?

He dismissed it immediately. No, this wasn't shame. This was wisdom. The pirates who clung to pride would die. Only those who embraced Jaeger's rule would live—and rise.

Kaido had chosen well.

He wasn't just another subordinate.

He was Jaeger's father-in-law.

And with Yamato gaining a Mythical Zoan, Jaeger's love for her would only grow.

Someday, Kaido mused, he might even become a Navy Fleet Admiral… or a Five Elder… or even a Celestial Dragon himself.

"Whitebeard's sons? Big Mom's children? None of them compare to my daughter,"

Kaido muttered under his breath, watching Jaeger return to the cabin.

Akainu, standing nearby, frowned at Kaido's quiet boasting. Yet part of him… understood.

If only he had a daughter.

Jaeger was ruthless to his enemies, yes—but with women he loved, he was gentle, protective.

That was why Vice Admiral Tsuru had handed Gion over to Jaeger: because unlike the other Celestial Dragons, Jaeger didn't harm those he cherished.

A plan formed in Akainu's mind.

He needed to find a beautiful woman. Not for love. For justice. For peace.

For the chance to raise a daughter who could soften Jaeger's heart… and convince him to eradicate the pirate plague once and for all.

Yes. After the matter in Loguetown was settled, he'd return to headquarters—and find himself a wife.

In the cabin, Yamato held both Olvia and Gion in her arms, resting like a protective older sister.

Though she was the youngest, she exuded a strange maturity when it came to love.

At the sound of Jaeger's steps, Yamato's eyes shot open. Gion stirred too. Both looked toward him—but their expressions couldn't have been more different.

Yamato's gaze was that of a loyal pup, sparkling with affection and longing.

Gion, on the other hand… Her eyes held complexity: fascination, confusion, resentment—an internal storm.

She admired his strength, resented his promiscuity, and questioned where she stood in it all.

As for Olvia… she could barely lift an eyelid. If Jaeger hadn't held back, her bones might've been shattered. As it stood, she lay there limp and dazed.

"Jaeger~ Where'd you go?"

Yamato cooed, releasing the other girls to leap into his arms like a koala, clinging tightly.

Jaeger welcomed the closeness, running a hand through her soft white hair. "I went to get you a present."

From behind his back, he revealed the Devil Fruit—its surface twisting with patterns no normal fruit bore. Even Gion, who had read many tomes on Devil Fruits, had never seen anything like it.

"A gift? Can I eat it?" Yamato blinked, completely unaware.

"You… you don't know what a Devil Fruit is?" Gion scoffed, though jealousy laced her voice.

"Saint Jaeger, you spoil this ditzy girl so much. It was my first time too! Where's my gift?"

Jaeger raised the fruit out of Yamato's reach and smiled playfully at Gion.

"You want a Mythical Zoan too?"

Gion paused.

"As long as you're willing to learn more... 'fighting' postures," Jaeger continued, a glint in his eye,

"I'll find one for you as well."

Gion's heart skipped.

A Mythical Zoan... There were only a handful in recorded history. Even rarer than the Logias.

And all she had to do was… learn a few more 'yoga' postures?

Yes. She would study. Whatever it took.

"Haah…" Jaeger chuckled at the look on her face. "Now you're much cuter."

Of course, Jaeger hadn't lied to Gion. It really was a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit.

As long as she stayed loyal to him and didn't play any twisted game of "her body is in his hands but her heart is in another's," then even if she wanted dozens of Devil Fruits, Jaeger could simply ask Vegapunk to copy them. Simple as that.

"Jaeger! That's my present! Give it to me already!"

Yamato's voice broke his thoughts. She had been wrestling with Jaeger for the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Ōkuchi no Makami fruit, like a child trying to snatch candy from an adult.

"Calm down," Jaeger said, gently pressing a hand to her head.

"If you eat this fruit, you'll become an Esper—just like your father, Kaido."

Then his expression turned teasing.

"But here's a question, Yamato: would you rather have an ordinary Devil Fruit, weak to seawater… or one that's far stronger, and immune to the ocean's curse?"

"Of course the stronger one! The one that isn't afraid of seawater!"

Yamato's eyes sparkled with excitement.

"That way, I can chase off all those bad women who want to steal you away!"

"Idiot…"

Gion's smile twitched, her expression darkening slightly. After all, she was one of those so-called "bad women" in Yamato's mouth.

Yet beneath her annoyance was genuine shock.

Had she heard correctly? Could Jaeger—this Celestial Dragon, Saint Jaeger—actually enhance Devil Fruits? Could he truly eliminate their greatest weakness?

She didn't realize her surprise was plain as day.

Jaeger, of course, noticed. But he didn't mind. In fact, he wanted her—and the Navy higher-ups—to know.

Let them scramble to collect Devil Fruits for him. If it worked, they'd get a tiny piece of the reward. If it failed… well, that would be their problem.

In his heart, Jaeger was already calculating how to squeeze the most out of this alliance:

Go ahead, Navy. Bring me Devil Fruits. If the enhancement succeeds, I take ninety, you take ten. If it fails? You take all the losses. I love this deal.

Jaeger smiled gently, stroking Yamato's head.

"Just remember," he said, "enhancing a Devil Fruit is risky. It might fail. If it does, don't hate me, alright?"

Yamato tilted her head up to look at him, her grin bright and full of mischief.

"It's okay! Yamato would never blame Jaeger!"

Then her eyes narrowed playfully.

"Besides, Jaeger loves Yamato so much—he'll definitely find another one for me if it fails, right? Especially since he even gave one to that bad woman Gion."

Both Jaeger and Gion paused.

They had underestimated Yamato. She wasn't stupid—just childish.

In fact, children could be more cunning than adults. And Yamato… was fiercely competitive.

Jaeger liked that about her. She was like a big, fluffy white dog—loyal, wholehearted, eyes filled only with her owner. That kind of pure devotion made people feel joy. Fulfilled.

He pulled her into a hug, then pulled the slightly sulky Gion into the other arm and opened the chat group interface.

---

[Chat Group]

Things were quiet. Jaeger hadn't posted a mission, and no one else had triggered one.

Everyone was focused on their own storylines, their own worlds.

Scathach, now at her peak, was attempting to slay gods—basking in mortal worship, divine fear, and her sister's envy.

Kasumigaoka Utaha was serializing her absurdly popular novel The Shinigami Lady Will Not Fall in Love with the Uchiha Slut, which had recently been adapted into an anime.

Luo Hao was dueling the Sword King in Italy, drawing both admiration and trouble.

Even Sakura was preparing diligently for the Fourth Holy Grail War.

Everyone's fate had shifted drastically.

Every time Jaeger saw the group updates, he felt a strange awe.

A single chat group could connect people from different universes, entwining destinies that never should've touched.

Even though he now had the power to casually erase planets, he still couldn't fathom the system's mechanics.

Even beings like the Demon Gods from Magical Index, Zeno from Dragon Ball, or multiversal-level entities couldn't do something like this—connecting fictional worlds like threads in a divine tapestry.

The road to becoming stronger is endless… and yet, this chat group feels like the greatest cheat of all.

Jaeger posted:

Jaeger: Luo Hao, are you around? I need a favor—enhancement request.

Luo Hao: Of course! Ready when you are!

As usual, her response came instantly. Did she monitor the chat group 24/7?

Uchiha Miyuki: Oho~ What are you trying to enhance this time, Your Highness?

Jaeger: [Gift Box] [Gift Box]

The Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Ōkuchi no Makami—and Gungnir. Got it off a Transmigrator in the Bleach world. The spear's not living up to the name. Feels more like a toy than a godly weapon.

Uchiha Miyuki: Tsk. So that brat Yamato who got beat up by you is getting special treatment now?

Yamamoto Mei: Makes sense. She's adorable. And yeah—Gungnir doesn't even compare to your God Avoid. Not worthy of the god-king's title.

Kasumigaoka Utaha: Gungnir's stories are all about "guaranteed hit" and "penetration." Sounds cool—but in practice? Meh.

Tohsaka Sakura: Even in the Fifth Holy Grail War, Cu Chulainn's Death Thorn Spear nearly broke through the Seven Rings of Heaven's Blazing Sun. It was said to surpass Odin's spear. But honestly? Still not as legendary as it should've been.

Scathach: Cu Chulainn… my future disciple. I had high hopes. I wanted him to break free of fate and defeat me. But in the end, he remained a hero—never a transcendent.

Luo Hao: Breaking fate isn't easy. Not even I, a God Slayer, can do that. Neither can you, Queen of Shadows.

Scathach: True enough…

Uchiha Miyuki: Hmph! I could do it. Even without this chat group, I'd still have my Reincarnator system!

Yamamoto Mei: Yeah, right. Without the group, you'd be stuck with just a basic Mangekyō Sharingan. No system. You'd be roadkill for some edgy protagonist girl.

Uchiha Miyuki: Hah!? You violent old hag!

Luo Hao: Let's be honest. Mei's talent is greater. Even without counting the Death attribute she got from the newcomer reward, her Bankai—Final Scattering: Heaven and Earth—is insane. She'd still be a top-tier character in Bleach.

Uchiha Miyuki: ...

Yamamoto Mei: See? That's the difference. I'm strong even without cheats. You lose your system, and boom—you're filler material.

Uchiha Miyuki: That's it! I challenge you, you battle-crazed maniac!

Luo Hao: Enough! Business first!

Luo Hao: Saint Jaeger—how much do you want to enhance the Inu Inu no Mi and Gungnir?

Jaeger: Just enough to add new abilities or awaken new attributes.

Luo Hao: Understood. Leave it to me.
