Chapter 127 - Chapter 127

In early May, on the banks of the Hudson River.

Sitting on a bench beside Linen, admiring the shimmering river and feeling the gentle breeze brush through her hair, Wanda felt relaxed and happy.

"Dear, if time could stop right here, that would be wonderful."

Leaning against Linen's shoulder, she subconsciously took his hand and interlaced her fingers with his.

Hearing Wanda's soft sigh, Linen smiled and kissed her on the forehead.

The gentle breeze, the scent of grass, the beautiful scenery—and the girl he loved.

It truly made Linen wish he could tie this day down with a long rope and never let it go.

"It would be nice if time stayed at this moment," Linen said softly.

"But dear, didn't you always say you wanted two babies?"

"If time stopped right now—"

"I hate you."

Seeing Linen's teasing expression, Wanda rolled her eyes at him, then hugged his arm tightly, leaned her head against his shoulder, and said softly,

"I just want to have a home. I've wanted one ever since I was ten years old."

"In my imagination, my future home doesn't need to be very big, but it has to be warm."

"I'll have a husband who loves me, and two very cute—but naughty—babies."

"If that's the case, I'd be willing to bind myself to those three people for the rest of my life."

As she spoke, Wanda lifted her head, her eyes filled with affection.

"Dear, now that I already have a home and a husband… when can we have a child?"

Facing the light in Wanda's eyes, Linen thought for a moment before replying,

"You just turned eighteen, and I'm only twenty-one. I think we can wait another two or three years."

"I think so too."

Hearing Linen's answer, Wanda nodded.

"Although many people become mothers at eighteen—or even younger…"

"And even though I want to be a mother and make our family more complete, I'm not sure I'm ready yet."

As she spoke, Wanda lifted her head and kissed Linen on the cheek, then said solemnly,

"But I know you'll be a very good father in the future."

"Huh? How do you know that?" Linen asked with a smile.

"I just know."

Wanda looked at him with absolute certainty.

After being with Linen for so long, she was already sure of the kind of man he was.

He was responsible, patient, gentle—and most importantly, he never lacked a sense of responsibility.

A man like that would definitely be a good husband and a good father someday. Even without seeing any "future" in the theater, Wanda was absolutely certain.

Looking at Wanda—who had grown more and more affectionate since being with him—Linen smiled and gently held her fair hand.

Having a girlfriend who devoted herself to him like this… it had to be said, this was his luck.

Since Wanda and Pietro awakened their extraordinary abilities, Linen had been helping them train over the past few months.

Pietro trained alongside Steve, while Linen guided Wanda in mastering her scarlet magic.

Linen didn't know exactly how strong Wanda was at the moment. She probably hadn't reached the level of tearing Thanos apart yet.

But with his guidance, she was definitely stronger than she would have been a few years later.

This could already be seen from the fact that she could shatter glass with scarlet magic and then reassemble it.

Even if the reassembled glass sometimes turned into a short, round shape.

Taking a deep breath and feeling the unique grassy scent carried by the breeze, Wanda leaned against Linen's shoulder and fell silent, savoring the rare peace in her heart.

Of course, it would be even better if no one disturbed them right now.

Suddenly, a familiar yet strange energy fluctuation appeared behind them.

Linen and Wanda turned their heads at the same time.

A figure had appeared in the empty space behind them—standing there and smiling as she looked at the two of them.

"Oh my God…"

Seeing this woman, Wanda froze for a moment, then frowned.

The woman looked exactly like her—except she seemed four or five years older.

If it were just her appearance, that would have been one thing.

But the energy she radiated was identical to Wanda's.

Even her scarlet magic felt purer—and far more powerful.

"Long time no see, dear."

The multiverse Wanda smiled at Linen as she greeted him. Without waiting for him to respond, she turned her gaze toward Wanda.

"You're Linen's future wife in this universe? The same identity as me in my universe?"

"Who are you?"

Wanda instinctively raised her hand, a trace of crimson magic gathering in her palm as she stared at the woman who looked older than herself.

Seeing Wanda's vigilance and surprise, the multiverse Wanda chuckled.

"Who am I? Of course, I'm Wanda."

"But honestly, I'm very jealous. Do you know how much I wish there were a Linen in my universe too?"

"So tell me—why do you get him, and I don't?"

Hearing these words, Wanda's eyes instantly filled with caution.

She could clearly sense it.

This woman wanted to steal her boyfriend.

Watching Wanda step forward like a little lion protecting her territory, the multiverse Wanda laughed softly.

"Are you worried I'll steal your man?"

"It's useless, Wanda. You should know that in the future, there will be more than one 'me' who tries to take him from you."

"As long as we exist in normal universes, every Wanda's obsession is the same."

Hearing this, a flash of red light flickered in Wanda's eyes.

Just as she was about to speak, she felt a gentle hand pat her shoulder.

Seeing Linen's calm and reassuring smile, the crimson light in Wanda's eyes slowly faded.

Yes.

He was her boyfriend. Her future husband. The father of her children.

So she should trust him.

No matter how many multiverse Wandas appeared, she had to believe—he belonged to her.

After calming Wanda, Linen looked at the multiverse Wanda and asked calmly,

"Wanda, why are you here? Is something wrong?"

"Hehe, of course, dear."

The multiverse Wanda smiled sweetly at him.

"Because I regret it. I shouldn't have given you to her."

"So I came here this time to take you back."

"You should be mine—my husband—not her boyfriend."

Her words were playful, but Wanda's face instantly flushed red.

The scarlet magic in her hand surged violently.

Without hesitation, she launched an attack at the woman who dared try to steal her man.
