Chapter 134 - Chapter 134 - Esmelrada's Death.

North, The Neck.

A fleet of about a hundred ships tore through the stormy sea. A tempest ravaged the sea and sky; black clouds covered the world. The true fury of nature was something no human was capable of enduring.

Most incredible were the five tornadoes in the background, linking the sea to the sky; from afar, they looked like five enormous fingers coming from the heavens. Fifteen-meter waves made the fleet of ships look like small toy boats.

On a ship called *Sea King*, a large and powerful man could be seen, with the broad chest of a bull and enormous hands. His black hair was peppered with gray. He was none other than the Lord of the Fleet, Victarion Greyjoy, brother of King Balon IX.

At that moment, Victarion had a solemn expression. He never thought the sea would close in so quickly; there hadn't been even a hint of a storm twenty minutes ago, and now the entire fleet was in the middle of a tempest.

And it wasn't just any storm; looking at the five tornadoes on the horizon, a trace of fear appeared in Victarion's hard eyes. In all his years, this was perhaps the greatest storm he had ever seen. It was simply too terrible.

The worst thing for a fleet lord was controlling the fleet in a storm! Torches used as a means of communication or even drums were useless in such a voracious and deadly tempest. The only good thing was that he didn't have to worry about the small fleet from White Harbor.

On another ship called *Black Wind*, an attractive girl around twenty years old was maneuvering the ship against the sea waves. She was none other than Asha Greyjoy, Balon's daughter. At that moment, the young woman had a solemn expression, just like her uncle.

Suddenly, Asha glimpsed a pair of gigantic wings when lightning illuminated the sky. She was sure she was seeing things, as there was no possibility of something so large actually existing.

"Qarl, move that pretty ass and hold the ropes; the ship is trying to veer off course," Asha shouted, leaving behind any crazy thoughts. She couldn't stray at this moment; otherwise, the ship would go straight into the tornadoes, and if such a thing happened, she would be dead.

Being only twenty, she certainly didn't want to die; she wanted to spend her life fucking Qarl, growing old together while killing all the crew of some ship from Lys.

However, Asha's expression changed; screams reached her ears even in this storm. Looking to the side, her beautiful face paled at the apocalyptic scene. A huge vortex swirled like an enormous monster, opening its mouth and swallowing the sea.

Ships of the Iron Fleet fell into the vortex amidst screams of horror and fear. Asha spun the helm to the left with all her might; she clenched her teeth and felt she had never used so much strength before. The wind collided against her face while the water droplets stung upon contact with her skin.

Then, a scene made her stop what she was doing and caused her eyes to widen. From the darkness emerged a gigantic black bird; the bird seemed to have its wings burning, as it left a long trail of sparks in the air.

Even in the storm, the embers were not extinguished; on the contrary, they seemed especially noticeable at that moment.

"By the new gods and the old, what the fuck is that?" one of the sailors murmured, deep horror on his face. It wasn't just him; the entire crew seemed terrified.

Asha didn't blame these veterans for being paralyzed at that moment; anyone would be. She herself felt like she had pissed herself right then.

Sitting at the junction of the neck and body, Cadmus held Ciri in an embrace while looking at the sea below him. His green eyes glowed even in the storm, giving him a somewhat demonic aspect. Nature was playing its part as an indomitable force.

Even Cadmus could not match a force of nature that had an energetic strength as great as thousands of nuclear bombs. It was simply impossible for a person to truly control such power, at least in this universe or the Harry Potter universe. Only in universes like Marvel, DC, and others could such beings exist.

Cadmus set those thoughts aside and focused on the present. He himself hadn't expected to arrive in the middle of such an incredible storm. Looking at the situation of the Iron Fleet, he felt that even if he did nothing, at least seventy percent of the fleet would be lost in this storm.

Unfortunately, he didn't want to let the storm be the protagonist in this battle. He had a student he wanted to impress and show the true power of magic, which would make Ciri crave power even more.

Looking at the stormy clouds above him, Cadmus showed a thoughtful expression and then smiled. Although he felt these rapists didn't deserve a painless death, he truly didn't want to let things get too bloody, as he was with Ciri.

Drawing his wand, Cadmus pointed to the sky and whispered.

"Let me test something."

"Avada Kedavra."

Asha, who was shocked by the gigantic black bird, didn't hesitate to let go of the helm and let the ship move away from the main fleet. She didn't know why there was a bird like that in the world or if it was just her imagination, but she didn't want to find out if she was dreaming.

So, while some ships fell to their destruction inside the vortex, one ship moved rapidly away from the Iron Fleet.

But Asha wasn't happy for long; the sky above her lit up with a pale green light. She looked up and saw the clouds changing color; they no longer had their deep dark color but gained a beautiful emerald hue.

It looked elegant and dreamlike, too beautiful to be in a storm. While Asha was shocked, an emerald-green drop fell from the sky and hit the ship. Then, another emerald drop fell, and then another. In an instant, the rain had transformed into an emerald rain.

On the ship *Sea King*, Victarion looked at the sky, and raindrops touched his face. He touched the emerald drops but felt absolutely nothing. Seeing the enormous bird in the air, he knew it was King Rhaegar's court mage.

When Victarion was about to say something, one of the men fell heavily onto the ship's deck. Shortly after, another fell, and then another. In mere moments, most of the crew fell to the ground. The only ones still standing were those protected from the rain.

Even a fool knew there was something wrong with the rain, let alone Victarion. Just as he was about to shout to everyone still standing not to touch the emerald drops, suddenly, a black shield appeared around Victarion's ship. Looking back, a man wearing black robes appeared on the deck.

Victarion knew it was one of the mages his brother had hired at the price of House Greyjoy's Holy Relic, as well as the finger of the Drowned God.

The other mage had disappeared in Duskendale, probably killed by the court mage, but looking at the mage's expression, Victarion knew things were not so simple, especially the fall of their crew.

When Victarion was about to say something, he felt his vision blur and he lost all strength in his body. Looking at his arm, he saw that his blood vessels had gained a green coloration, as if he were poisoned.

The mage from Asshai approached with a solemn expression but didn't dare touch Victarion; who knew if it was contagious? Being a mage from Asshai, he had seen some spells that could be used as a means of contagion.

Looking up, where an enormous bird flew across the sky, the mage felt a chill run through his body. This emerald feat was extremely terrifying.

Its range and power were simply the deadliest and most terrifying spell he had seen in his life, and mind you, he was from Asshai, the place considered the most blasphemous on the planet. To impress, the mage showed how terrifying Cadmus's little experiment was.
