Chapter 32 - The Silver Fate Maiden — Destiny Written in Stars

The Immortal Sanctuary was silent.

The silver tree above glowed with thousands of floating star-leaves, each shimmering with ancient runes older than eras. Rivers of light flowed beneath Xiao Wang's feet, forming constellations that rearranged themselves as he walked.

But none of that was what made his heart pause.

It was her.

The girl standing beneath the tree seemed carved from moonlight—silver hair cascading down like flowing stardust, blue eyes reflecting galaxies that no mortal or immortal should ever gaze into. She wore a long silk dress woven from pure luminescence, trailing behind her like a comet's tail.

She looked at Xiao Wang as if she had been waiting since the dawn of creation.

"...You," she whispered again, voice trembling like wind across a divine harp.

"You're the one my fate has been waiting for."

His other personality coughed loudly.

"Alright, look—normally I love this level of attention, but we literally just arrived."

Xiao Wang ignored him.

The air around the girl trembled. Symbols appeared—runes of destiny, fate, and time—even the System paused.

[Warning… Unknown Existence Detected]

[Attempting Analysis…]

[Failure.]

[Authority Level Too Low.]

Xiao Wang frowned.

"You… who are you?"

She stepped closer.

And with each step, the entire dimension trembled.

Not in fear.

But in reverence.

"I am the one sealed by Heaven."

Her voice was soft, but worlds cracked beneath its meaning.

"I am the last daughter of the Eternal Starline Clan.

I am the Maiden chosen by Fate.

And—"

She lifted a glowing hand toward Xiao Wang's chest.

The Devouring Sword inside him vibrated violently.

Even the Abyssal curse flared.

Her voice softened.

"—I am the key to restoring what you lost."

Xiao Wang's pupils narrowed.

His heart beat once—loud, violent.

"Restore… what I lost?"

The girl nodded, eyes shimmering.

"Your original Emperor Soul."

The world tilted.

His other personality froze mid-joke.

"…Wait. What?"

The Fate Maiden's Recognition

Wind swirled around the two as the Sanctuary reacted to her words.

Xiao Wang stepped closer, eyes sharp.

"You know who I was?"

"I know who you are," she corrected gently.

"The Celestial Devouring Emperor… the one who once devoured an entire star and challenged the Abyss and Heaven together."

Her fingers brushed the glowing tree trunk.

"And I know how you fell."

Xiao Wang's jaw clenched.

The memories—fragmented, broken—burned inside him.

The betrayal.

His closest friend.

His own fiancée.

Their blades piercing his heart.

The Sword whispering in agony.

The curse swallowing him.

The hundred years of lost existence.

The girl's voice softened, filled with sadness not her own.

"You were betrayed by Heaven's chosen. And the Abyss's heir."

She looked down.

"It was not meant to happen. I… tried to intervene. But Heaven sealed me here."

Xiao Wang's heart tightened.

"You tried to save me?"

The Maiden nodded, biting her lip.

"I failed. And I have been waiting ever since—for your soul to be reborn."

His other personality coughed.

"Bro… she's literally been waiting a hundred years for you. That's… wife material."

Xiao Wang rolled his eyes internally.

"Not now."

"Now is exactly the time—she's gorgeous and she's fate-bound. You want romance arcs, right?"

"Shut up."

"Rude."

The Fate Maiden blinked.

"You… have two souls?"

Xiao Wang froze.

The Sanctuary trembled.

"Two souls?" she repeated, her gaze piercing through him.

"No… two layers of the same soul. One suppressed by Heaven… the other born from the Abyss's backlash."

Her eyes widened.

"You are… unstable."

Xiao Wang exhaled.

"Tell me something I don't know."

The Fate Contract Awakens

The Maiden lifted her hand.

Light—pure, ancient, divine—flowed from her fingertips.

The System reacted instantly:

[Celestial Devourer System Warning:]

[Unknown Power Overriding Core Permissions.]

[Host—Brace for Soul Contact.]

"What are you doing?" Xiao Wang demanded.

Her voice grew gentle.

"Relax. Fate brought you here. Fate brought me here."

Her palm hovered inches from his heart.

"The Dimensional Sanctuary exists for one reason—To choose the next pillar of destiny.

And it has chosen you."

A rune appeared between them—glowing silver and gold.

A Fate Contract.

His other personality whistled.

"Oho… a destiny bond. I knew it. You're collecting wives again."

Xiao Wang ignored him.

"What does this contract do?" he asked cautiously.

"It reveals what Heaven has hidden from you," she whispered.

"And unlocks the authority you once possessed."

"…Authority?"

Her eyes locked onto his.

"The authority to rewrite fate itself."

The Sanctuary roared.

Space trembled.

Time slowed.

And the rune between them slammed into Xiao Wang's chest—

BOOOOOOOM!!

Light swallowed the world.

A Fragment of His True Self

Visions exploded inside his mind.

A golden throne.

A black sun.

A sword devouring worlds.

A woman screaming his name.

A traitor smiling.

A kiss that wasn't supposed to be his last.

A curse swallowing the heavens.

Then—

Darkness.

The visions ended with Xiao Wang gasping, collapsing to one knee as power roared through him.

The System screamed:

[WARNING!]

[Host Has Absorbed Forbidden Soul Fragment]

[Authority Level Rising]

[Realm Compression Imminent]

Xiao Wang grit his teeth.

"What… did you do to me!?"

The Maiden kneeled before him, placing her hands on his shoulders.

"Forgive me. It was necessary."

His aura exploded—

Black.

Gold.

Silver.

Abyss.

Heaven.

Fate.

All spiraling together in an impossible vortex.

His dual personality screamed:

"WE'RE GONNA BLOW UP—!!!"

And then—

Silence.

A calm voice echoed inside his soul.

Not his own.

Not his other self.

But a third voice—ancient, mighty, regal.

"Child… my reincarnation… you finally awaken."

Xiao Wang's breath froze.

"…That voice…"

The Maiden nodded softly.

"The voice of your original soul."

A chill ran through him.

The Celestial Emperor…

Him.

But before Xiao Wang could respond, a shadow fell across the sky.

A New Enemy Descends

A voice—cold, vicious, dripping with killing intent—echoed across the realm.

"So… this is where Heaven hid the girl."

A man appeared above the Sanctuary—tall, cloaked in abyssal smoke, wearing an expression of pure arrogance.

His eyes glowed red like bleeding stars.

Xiao Wang's aura flared instinctively.

"…Who are you?"

The man smirked.

"The Abyssal Crown Prince."

Time froze.

Even the Maiden stepped back in fear.

"The one who commanded the Abyssal Monarch before he fell," she whispered.

The Crown Prince spread his arms.

"And the one who will reclaim what belongs to the Abyss."

His eyes locked onto Xiao Wang.

"Your soul fragment."

The air shattered.

He descended with instant, godlike speed—

Straight toward Xiao Wang.

The Sanctuary panicked.

Runes flashed.

The silver star-tree glowed wildly.

The Maiden screamed his name—

"XIAO WANG!"

Xiao Wang stood.

Bloodline roaring.

Sword vibrating.

Personality two shouting:

"ALRIGHT, BRO—TAG ME IN!"

Xiao Wang smirked.

"Fine."

Their voices overlapped:

"Let's kill a Prince."

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The entire dimension exploded in light—

And the chapter ends.
