(Cyrus's POV)
[A Few Nights Later]
I was looking at the bonfire, watching as the people surrounding it were kneeling down, mumbling some prayers as they looked at the flames. This was going on for minutes, just staring at the flames and revering it.
I was sitting on a log, several meters away from this, a serious frown on my face.
"This is really a cult..." I muttered, "Hm....."
Or maybe it was a religion.
And every religion was a Cult.
Well, whatever it was, I was sucked into it for some reason. No matter, I had to run with these people, to achieve the Goal.
Whatever that was.
When would I be able to contact that woman again? Do I have to do things?
There has to be a reason why I ended up in this place specifically. From what Erys said, the Red Cult is more prominent in Essos. The religion of the Lord of Light is more accepted over in that place. If my purpose was to be the Lord of Light, why was I not sent there?
No, there is another reason for this. There has to be.
Why did I end up in King's Landing?
And why was the first person I saw that Princess?
I felt the knight's sword pass through me, cutting my head off. But my eyes laid immediately on that girl.
Why?
Was there a deeper meaning to it?
What exactly was the purpose of it all?
Damn, all of these questions are pissing me off.
"Tch..." I said
"My Lord." Torys approached me
I looked at him, "What is it?"
Behind him, I saw a person wearing a cloak. Torys stepped to the side and the person walked forwards, pulling their hood down.
I saw a woman's face, the light of the flames illuminating her fair skin and black eyes. Her auburn hair was tied in a bun, and her slight smile was quite alluring.
"This is Lady Mira." Torys said, "One of the Priestess who communes with your flames."
I noticed that through the cloak, the woman was wearing a red dress, her curves were quite noticeable. She was a beauty that any man would easily fall for whatever charms she had. It was quite the smart thing to do, having a beautiful woman preach the word of a god. They could possibly seduce the men to their cause; it was very obvious.
"Hm." I said as I looked at her, "Is that so?"
"Forgive me." She said, a distinct accent in her voice, "Torys's letters claimed that his group not only dealt with our Rogue Member, but they found the Great Lord of Light, walking amongst men."
Torys nodded, "That is right."
She walked up to me, reaching for my arm and gently rubbing my forearm, "Forgive me..." she said softly, "I find it hard to believe that Our Lord walks among men without warning."
"It is true, Lady Mira." Torys told her, "He is the one."
She lifted my arm up, gently rubbing the palm of my hand as she looked at me. It is as if she was trying to feel for my warmth. No, my heat. Torys probably told her about my body, which was made out of fire.
"Does Our Lord not speak?" Mira said, giving me a slight smile
"Quite bold of you, to casually touch the arm of your Lord." I said as I pulled my hand away and stood up, "You don't believe Torys?"
"I need to see what he's seen." She said, "If you are Him, the Lord, then please show me."
I tilted my head, "Red Priestess commune with the flames?" I asked, "Can't you tell?"
"I do not see flames." She said
I raised my hand and sprouted flames from it, causing the light to shine the area around us.
"How's this?" I asked her
She looked at it with a bit of surprise, "Oh?" She said, "What a nice trick. Even Red Priests are capable of summoning-"
Before she could finish, I covered my entire body in flames, causing Torys to pull her away so she doesn't get burned.
"Lady Mira!" He exclaimed
I looked to the side, extending my arms towards the bonfire. Without warning, all of the flames siphoned from the bonfire, flying straight towards me. I felt as the flames swirled around me, entering my body and combining with mine. The bonfire was left put out, a small amount of smoke remaining as everyone was looking at me with complete shock.
Torys stood in front of Mira, "My Lord!!" He exclaimed, "What are you-"
I lifted my hand up and fired off several fireballs, causing them to explode high in the air, shockwaves erupting as the sky was lit up completely, shining upon the beach.
"Is this not enough?" I asked as I waved my hand towards the bonfire, firing a firebolt at it
The bonfire was lit again, the flames raging, the people around it wincing as the heat reached them. My body was still surrounded by flames, but most of it had cleared up. Only my upper chest and head were exposed; the rest of my body was engulfed in hot flames.
Torys was wincing, clearly bothered by the flames, "My Lord...."
Mira had her eyes widened, the light of the flames reflecting from them, "So bright...." She said softly, "So hot....."
She walked past Torys, taking her cloak off and revealing her beautiful red dress fully. She stopped a couple of feet away, the light of my flames fully illuminating me.
She then got on her knees as she reached her hands towards me, as if she was taking in the heat into her.
"The flames..." She said softly as I tilted my head, "They are speaking to me. They tell me the same thing, over and over."
"And what's that?" I asked
"Power." she said softly, "Your flames. Your heat. Your warmth. We are but the mediums for your grace, Great Lord of Light. These flames will be the fuel for your magic. Your current form is but a test for all of your followers."
She smiled, a warm smile that radiated more than the heat of my flames.
"Hm...." I said with a frown, "You're so easily swayed."
"But of course." She said while blushing slightly, "My Lord, I will always be swayed by you."
"For I love you."
