"I still have money, is Dad not home?"
Lin Chen asked.
Chen Mei replied, "Your dad went to the fields. Son, don't try to tough it out if you run out of money. Your dad and I still have some savings."
"Mom, when Dad gets back, give me a video call. I have something important to report to you both, the leaders."
Lin Chen said with a smile.
Chen Mei's eyes lit up. "Son, have you found a girlfriend?"

Lin Chen hung up the phone.
He was in the supermarket right now, and it wasn't convenient with so many people around.
Lin Xiaoxi looked at Lin Chen, "Daddy, was that Grandma?"
"How did you know?" Lin Chen asked with a smile.

He had already shown Lin Xiaoxi pictures of his parents.

Lin Xiaoxi nodded, a touch worried. "Dad, what if Grandpa and Grandma don't like me?"
"Why would they not?"
"Xiaoxi is so cute, Grandpa and Grandma will definitely love you."
Lin Chen hugged Lin Xiaoxi and kissed her twice.

A WeChat message notification chimed on Lin Chen's phone.
He opened WeChat and saw that his dad had actually transferred him ten thousand yuan.
Lin Chen video-called his father.
The video connected quickly, and Lin Chen saw his parents. Both were wearing the new clothes they usually only wore when visiting relatives.
"Dad, Mom."
"Why did you transfer me money? I have money," Lin Chen said.
Chen Mei spoke, "Son, did you find a girlfriend? You'll spend more money if you have a girlfriend, so your dad and I are sponsoring you a bit."

Lin Hai and Chen Mei were overjoyed.

Lin Chen bought them their plane tickets.

The Xu family had assets worth billions, and the probability of his son marrying Xu Mengyao was low. If Lin Chen found someone else, he'd have another daughter.

The next morning, early, Lin Hai and the others took a black car to Provincial City, arriving at the airport after two or three hours.
There were still two hours until the plane took off.
They ate lunch.
"Xiaoxi, we're going to pick up Grandpa and Grandma."
Lin Chen carried Lin Xiaoxi as they left.

Chen Mei immediately beamed, unable to contain her smile, and Lin Hai looked on enviously.
