Chapter 684 - Chapter 265: Inviting Cassandra

For a moment, Harry felt like he might become a master of balancing relationships in his life.

As people say, everyone has their favorites, and if Harry had to choose, his favorite would be Vivi.

But then again, when you think about it, he really has been unfair to Cassandra.

"Actually, you could just throw the question out there."

In the evening, Little Sirius called him back, giving his most sincere advice, "Instead of exhausting yourself by agonizing over whom to choose, why not put the question out there and let them decide who wins? See who can finally be your dance partner..."

Hearing Little Sirius's suggestion, Harry began to question life like a future world-class Italian soccer player from the neck down.

No, this suggestion...

Isn't it a bit too straightforward?

Sure, I can be a bit of a jerk, but I'm not a complete jerk.

"Isn't this a bit too much?" Harry asked suspiciously. "Isn't this too bad?"

"Look at you." Little Sirius showed a look of disappointment, "Good but not great, bad but not entirely bad, and physically a bit weak..."

Harry accepted the first two sentences; say what you want to say.

But he absolutely couldn't accept the last sentence.

Weak?

I'm weak?

Ha, don't be fooled by how proactive Vivi is; she's always the one pleading for mercy!

"How am I weak?" he retorted. "No way, absolutely no way!"

"Oh, I'm just saying." Little Sirius laughed and said again, "Anyway, that's my advice. If you don't want to deal with it yourself, just toss the issue to them... Of course, if anything goes wrong afterward, don't put your Godfather's name out there..."

Harry: %#@¥!

You say this isn't a bad idea!?

Hanging up the phone with dissatisfaction, Harry took a deep breath and decided to be a responsible man.

In plain terms, he needed to quickly pick one and face the wrath of the other two.

However...

This time, Harry decided to choose Cassandra.

Having made his decision, he planned to talk to Cassandra about it after the Magic Potion class test tomorrow.

The next day, Hogwarts was already decorated in winter Christmas decorations.

The staff and students at Hogwarts were eager to leave a deep impression on the guests from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, seemingly determined to showcase the best of the castle this Christmas.

The school was decorated with lights and colors, and Harry found it to be the most beautiful decoration he had seen since coming to the school.

The marble staircase railings were draped with icicles that never melted, and the twelve Christmas trees usually in the hall were adorned with various trinkets, from shiny holly berries to live golden owls that kept hooting.

The suits of armor had been enchanted, so whenever someone walked by, they would sing Christmas carols.

Hearing an empty helmet sing "Oh come, all ye faithful" was particularly amusing.

The armor only knew half the lyrics, and the caretaker, Fitch, often had to pull Peeves out of the armor because Peeves would hide inside and make up some vulgar and unpleasant lyrics whenever the armor got stuck.

The Magic Potion test took place in the hall filled with Christmas decorations, and because it was an extra task, most students were quite casual, leaving as soon as they finished writing.

All the students in the grade sat together, focusing on their papers, while Snape stood at the back, seemingly engrossed in reading a book about Magic Potions.

Ron was sighing and racking his brains, as he wasn't really good at Magic Potions, or rather, he didn't like the subject.

As he was agonizing, suddenly, a piece of paper came across his desk.

He looked up and saw George nodding at him.

Ron pouted, looked down at the note, and it said:

"Act quickly, or the best ones will be taken."

Ron wrote, "Who are you planning to ask?" on it, scrunched up the note, and threw it back.

George glanced at it and gave his foolish brother a mocking smile.

He looked up at Snape's position to make sure the professor wasn't watching before tossing the paper ball towards Angelina, who was whispering to Spinnit not far away.

"What's up?" Angelina asked.

"Would you like to go to the ball with me?" George mouthed the words, even making a dancing motion when saying "ball."

"Sure." Angelina agreed without hesitation.

Happy with the response, George winked at Ron, which clearly meant "Learn from me."

Ron took a deep breath.

He never thought that inviting a girl to a ball could be so simple.

Encouraged, he turned to Hermione.

At that time, Hermione was almost finished with her paper, and when she finished writing the last letter, Ron asked, "Hey, well, I mean... Hermione?"

"What?" Hermione looked up.

"You're a girl," Ron stated with certainty.

Hermione glanced at the hopeless Ron and replied with a cold smile, "Thank you so much for noticing that!"

Harry knew things were about to go wrong. If Ron kept talking, who knew what kind of infuriating things he might say.

"Um." Harry quickly jumped in: "Ron's been talking about inviting you to the ball for two days, he's just a bit shy..."
