It hurts so much!
My head is killing me!
The bizzare scenes and memory fragments that flooded his mind instantly vanished.
Adam Kairon, who had just woken up from a very cryptic dream. Felt a sudden urge to get up and defend himself. No! it was more like an innate feeling of weariness as he couldn't remember where he was or how he even got there. He looked Rather confused as he saw flashes of images he couldn't quite digest in his head.
After the headache and fragmented dreams in his head had reduced he started to try and move his body from the ground. As he was doing so he realized that his body was numb he couldn't feel anything at all , only a faint sensation all around his body.
After trying for a few moments the numbness he felt all around his arms and legs loosened as he slowly stood up weakly from the ground to get a proper look at his surroundings . The encroaching darkness signaling the onset of night had nearly vanished.
In the far distance Adam kairon saw a thorny Wall, what lay before him was a barren landscape, devoid of vegetation and some sort of blurry city beyond the area he could make out from where he stood.
Where am I ? This was the first question that came into his head.Aa he began walking towards the thorny Wall .
As he walked trying to get a proper view of the blurry citythat was behind the wall made of thorns , it was as though he couldn't remember a couple things from his past as he tried to recall where he lived .
Did I have such a wild time yesterday and I'm now suffering from amnesia? Adam kairon thought this was the case why else would he not be able to emember.
Did I get into a fight whereever I was and had a head injury? That would explain the painful headache I suffered when I woke up.
Adam mind kept racing as he tried to access his memories from before he woke up . Nothing seemed to resurface in his Head.
This doesn't make any sense ! If I can't recall anything how come I'm able to think and have speak so well , if I do have an authentic amnesia and loss of memories I should be wailing in the desert floor like a baby that was just Born.
That would be a strange sight a young man in a priest like attire , crying and wailing as he was cooked up by the heat from a desert. As Adam thought of this he prefered the idea that he could reason like an educated fellow.
But honesty where exactly am I, I wake up from a strange and puzzling dream that gave me a blinding headache to a place I don't even recognize, in the middle of a desert no less.
Ok ! Let's calm down getting furious won't solve anything. First I know that my name is Adam kairon. He looked around in the clothes he was wearing to see if he would find something useful. He looked at the area which he woke up hoping to find possible stuff that belonged to him that could help.
There's nothing here . Adam mubled as he gaze lurked for any nearby object or material.
That was when he realized that he wore a black clergyman robe on his body . He didn't find anything on his person as he continued to look forward towards the blurry wall he wanted to reach.
It was then he noticed two figures that appeared to be talking to each other in the distance.
From where he was he couldn't get a proper view of them as he was further away .
Suddenly he saw the surrounding area around the two figures changed as a greyish white fog appeared on both of the figures obscuring them from his sight.
Adam quickly ran forward not wanting to loose the people that could provide him help.
As soon as he was nearly there the sun rise and filtered through the sky , he suddenly felt a burn in his eyes as he tripped on a rock and fell to the ground knocking him out .
Ow!
It took him a couple minutes for him to come to , he had already bridge a small distance to the place he saw those two figures standing. As he looked to where they he had previously saw them. He saw no one .
They had left .
Just my luck, they've already gone . How am I leaving this desert. He slowly got up from the ground and dusted the clergyman robe he was wearing.
Adam continue walking forward where he had previously saw those two figures before . He hoped that he could at least find another person who could at least tell him where he was .
He felt a growing uneasy from the aura he was getting from this place causing him to shudder a few times .
This place is giving me a bad feeling, where am I and why don't I remember how I got here .
These thoughts crossed his mind as he reached the place where he had seen those two stood .
Multiple card pieces were scattered on the floor that glowed faintly in the sun light. Adam bent down and picked one up to look at it closely.
These are tarot cards but why are they scattered all over the place . Could there one has been a circus group performing around here. If that was so they would have to be visiting a village of some sort .
Going for a circus in the middle of a desert didn't seem right to Adam . As he turned around surveying his surroundings once again.
As he turned he noticed a Wall made out of thorny vines in the distance that acted like a barrier of some sort that blocked a small village he could barely see from where he stood. As he could see small traces of buildings just beyond the wall of thorns.
The expression on Adam face was pure joy as he had finally seen a place where he could calm down and gather his thoughts and also relax because this desert was scorching and if he wandered about any longer there was a high chance he could faint from dehydration.
Adam began walking towards the thorny Walls he didn't have the energy to run and he wasn't too far from the place , the only problem he had was finding and entry points at the very densely packed wall of thorns that surrounded the village.
Come on.... I'm almost there
With sweat streaming down his face and neck he had finally reached an entry point through the wall of thorns and with slightly trembling arms he passed through the gaps of the wall and entering the village.
As soon as he entered he immediately gasped what awaited him wasn't a small village teaming with people but a desecrated landscape with broken buildings.
A sense of fear washed over him as he looked at the crimson mountain peak that was just behind the desolated city.
What could've caused such damage to this place? Could the people living here had fled while this village was destroyed?
Adam came up with numerous scenarios in his head trying to explain what he was seeing with his own two eyes , A ruined city out in the middle of a desert.
Adam quickly realized that his hopes of finding someone here were thin , so he decided to looked around for somethings he could use to last longer in the blinding heat.
Yeah , I might finally be able to get some food . After he said that he looked at his black clergyman robe that had gone dirty due to the sand and sweat.
He sighed I also need to get some new clothes I can't be seen around wearing this.
He then continued forward into the village
He had seen a sign that showed the village name .
