Tony immediately zeroed in on the technical anomaly in Su Yi's story, completely missing the ethical crisis.
"Hold on, Su, are you absolutely sure that was a Stark Industries missile? And that it was a dud? That's questioning my engineering ability! A bomb I manufacture does not fail!" Tony exclaimed, momentarily more outraged by the implied poor quality control than the human tragedy.
Su Yi simply looked at him with an exasperated expression. "Tony, you're missing the forest for the shrapnel. The point is, your weapons were used to tear apart their lives. Now, they're here for an explanation."
Tony's face softened. The incident with the Ten Rings had genuinely shifted his worldview, making him acknowledge the grim reality of his legacy.
"Alright, I'll check the records," Tony conceded. "Ten years ago, the weapons division was mostly handled by Obadiah Stane. But I'm not shirking responsibility. I honestly didn't realize the sheer scope of how my weapons were misused."
Wanda responded with scathing sarcasm, her eyes never leaving his. "Oh, the great Tony Stark! What did you think weapons were for? Starting a pleasant campfire? Or maybe target practice with teddy bears?"
Tony was silenced, rubbing the back of his neck uncomfortably.
Su Yi intervened quickly. "Wanda, Pietro, I understand your hatred. But I think you can give him a chance to investigate the truth."
Pietro, still restrained by the Symbiote webbing, was defiant. "I don't believe him, and I don't believe you! You brought us here to eliminate us. We won't compromise; we'll have our revenge, even if we die!"
Su Yi turned to Wanda, recognizing her innate sense of fairness. "Wanda, what do you say?"
Wanda took a deep breath. "I will give him a chance. So, can we leave now?"
"Not yet," Su Yi countered. "If you leave, how do you plan to enact your revenge? He is wealthy, he's protected by an army, and he has the Iron Man Armor. How do you defeat that?"
The twins fell silent.
"I can help you unlock the potential within you," Su Yi pressed. "Once you master your power, you can easily defeat Tony Stark."
Tony sputtered. "Hey, Su, are you serious? She can beat me? I'm sorry, no amount of latent power beats a titanium-gold alloy."
"Tony, your technology is powerful, but this world isn't limited to science," Su Yi lectured. "Just like you can't beat me, once her power is fully unleashed, you won't be able to defeat her, either."
He looked at Wanda. "The power you possess is called Chaos Magic. It is immensely strong. I suspect the power within you is what subtly altered the missile's probability, turning it into a dud and saving your lives."
Su Yi continued, lowering his voice for dramatic effect. "Chaos Magic, at its zenith, can affect reality itself. If you wished it, you could reshape this world to your will."
Tony was genuinely shocked. "That is completely unscientific! That's absurd!"
"That's precisely why it's called magic," Su Yi stated simply.
Tony paled slightly, thinking of a worst-case scenario. "Anti-magic armor... how do I build that when I don't even know the principles of magic?"
Wanda was fascinated. "You can help me gain such power?"
"The power has always been yours," Su Yi confirmed. "You simply need a teacher to guide you in controlling it."
As if summoned by the very discussion of magic, a large ring of golden sparks suddenly Teleported into the living room, opening a shimmering, circular portal.
Tony and the others stared in disbelief. "This crazy world!" Tony muttered. "Su, please tell me I don't need to learn magic now."
"Well, in a certain parallel universe, you actually became the Sorcerer Supreme," Su Yi informed him with a grin.
"Me? No way! Technology is the only truth!" Tony instantly dismissed the idea.
A figure stepped through the portal: The Ancient One, Sorcerer Supreme, calm and radiating ancient authority.
Su Yi immediately showed immense respect. "Sorcerer Ancient One."
The Ancient One sighed, looking directly at Su Yi. "You have begun to stray the timeline significantly. Those who toy with time will eventually be consumed by it."
"I don't believe I am toying with time," Su Yi replied confidently. "I am simply changing destiny. The future is a fluid thing. One thought, one decision, and everything changes. I choose to guide those changes."
The Ancient One simply nodded, accepting his answer. "You intend for me to teach this young woman?"
"You are the Sorcerer Supreme. Who else is better suited?"
The Ancient One looked at Wanda, sensing the wild, immense power churning beneath her surface. "The power within her is Chaos Magic. It is not easy to contain. I can only teach her meditation and discipline to strengthen her mind and will, enhancing her control. I will give her the knowledge to understand how to channel this power."
"That's all she needs," Su Yi thought. In the original timeline, Wanda was constantly fighting her own raw power. Now, with the Ancient One's foundational knowledge, she would be a completely different class of threat.
"I think that is more than sufficient," Su Yi agreed. "But she must be willing."
Wanda, awed by the portal and the power radiating from the Ancient One, was ready.
Pietro, however, remained skeptical. "Sorcerer? I think she's just a charlatan!"
The Ancient One smiled gently, then extended a hand. With a subtle push, Pietro's Astral Form was violently ejected from his body.
Pietro's ghostly form floated above his body, staring down in utter terror. "What happened? What did you do to me?"
"A simple spell," the Ancient One said, "to teach you respect."
Wanda, unable to see the astral form, was frantic. "What did you do to him?"
The Ancient One returned Pietro's soul to his body. Pietro gasped, sweating, his bravado instantly gone. He looked at the Ancient One with genuine fear.
"I am willing to follow the Sorcerer to learn magic," Wanda stated firmly. "But Pietro..."
Su Yi took the opening. "Leave him to me. I'll arrange for him to rent a house near my own residence so you can easily find him when you return."
Pietro immediately rejected the proposal, detecting Su Yi's thinly veiled interest in his sister. "I won't agree! You want her!"
"You have nowhere to go," Su Yi stated the harsh truth. "If you stay with me, you are safe, and Wanda knows exactly where you are and that you are well cared for."
Pietro hesitated, realizing he was out of options. He finally relented but glared intently at Su Yi. "Fine. But don't even think about Wanda. I'll be watching you."
Wanda is leaving to study under the Ancient One, and Pietro is reluctantly being housed by Su Yi. Tony has a new research direction (Nanotech) and a massive ethical crisis.
