He raised his arm to feel the power he now had and said slowly, "My current strength should be enough to deal with Cell."
Although his combat effectiveness had increased dramatically, Piccolo was not naive enough to think he could defeat Cell outright.
After all, Cell had yet to reveal his true strength.
Popo looked at the new Piccolo and asked quietly, "Kami…"
"I'm neither Piccolo nor Kami now, but I'm trying to find my former self," Piccolo replied in a light tone.
Piccolo then flew out of the Temple of the Kami and headed toward Cell.
At the same time, the Z Warriors waited nearby and did not leave.
It had been less than half an hour since Piccolo left.
Krillin said excitedly, "Did you feel that? Piccolo's aura has changed, but it's still him! He's even more powerful now!"
"Yeah! Incredible! I can feel his energy from here," Yamcha added with a smile.
Tien Shinhan commented, "Judging by the strength of his energy alone, he's slightly stronger than Cell—but not by much."
"What are you afraid of? Piccolo's wearing a heavy cloak!" Yamcha added confidently.
Piccolo always wore a heavy cloak when not fighting.
Yamcha believed this meant Piccolo's true power was far beyond Cell's.
They didn't yet know Piccolo had not released his full energy.
Gohan said happily, "Uncle Piccolo, that's amazing!"
Krillin also smiled. "Since Piccolo is flying toward Cell, let's follow him!"
"Exactly," Tien agreed. They wanted to witness the battle firsthand.
Vegeta silently clenched his fists, determined to surpass everyone, especially Kakarot.
After all, Kakarot had long been a thorn in Vegeta's side. Being overshadowed by a low-level warrior for years had tormented the Saiyan Prince.
Vegeta wanted to surpass Kakarot to prove he was the strongest Saiyan—not Kakarot.
Still, Vegeta flew out with the Z Warriors, eager to see Piccolo's newfound power.
Meanwhile, Cell searched for No. 18 but found nothing.
Impatient, he began destroying island after island, shouting, "Hurry up, No. 18! Or I'll destroy everything in my path!"
Cell didn't believe No. 18 could hide forever. As soon as she acted, he would notice.
No. 16 and No. 18 hid on a small island.
"No. 16, we can't keep hiding. Sooner or later, Cell will find us," No. 18 said anxiously.
"Don't panic. As long as we stay still, it will be difficult for Cell to detect us," No. 16 said calmly, knowing their advantage: their lack of air.
No. 18 suppressed her worry for the moment.
Cell continued his rampage, growing anxious that his efforts were failing. "It seems I'll have to use more brutal methods," he muttered.
Just then, a terrifying aura approached from behind.
Cell turned to see Piccolo flying toward him at incredible speed. He stopped abruptly.
"So it's you! Piccolo, what are you doing here? Did you come just to die?" Cell sneered.
"Cell, your strength may have improved, but your brain hasn't," Piccolo replied calmly, dripping with sarcasm.
Cell's face darkened. "Piccolo, I'll make sure you stop being arrogant!"
"Idiot. Since you have our cells, can't you even sense energy?" Piccolo shot back.
Cell immediately sensed Piccolo's aura in detail. Shocked, he said, "Piccolo, what happened? You didn't have this strength less than an hour ago! What have you done?"
To be honest, Cell was stunned. Piccolo's aura was now basically on par with his own—and perhaps even slightly stronger.
No. 16 and No. 18 also noticed Piccolo approaching with lethal intent.
No. 18 asked doubtfully, "Piccolo… why is he coming here? Isn't he afraid of Cell?"
"No, Piccolo is far stronger than before," No. 16 explained analytically.
"No way! Could he have been hiding his true power before?" No. 18 said, shocked.
Piccolo and Cell descended to the ground and faced each other.
Cell smiled, "Piccolo, your strength really surprises me. Now, let's have some fun!"
