'Hey, Aiva. What is this Divine Blessing bullshit anyway?' Leo asked Aiva.
Aiva's calm voice echoed in his mind.
[Divine Blessing is a Ritual, Master.]
[In this world, when a child turns 18, they have the opportunity to go to a local priest, in Auravale this task has been taken by Temple of Light and pray to the Gods for a Divine Blessing.]
[It is more like a Petition from your home world. You submit your 'application' to the Gods, and if one of the Gods takes a fancy towards you, he or she grants you his blessing. It is just that the process here is fast.]

'That's a very low number,' Leo thought, 'So what sorts of blessings can they get?'

[I have a list of the few major Gods and Goddesses]
'Fine,' Leo nodded, 'Hit me.'
[First there is Lifara: She is the Goddess of Life]
"It must be the Healing stuff, right?" Leo knew his stuff very well. It was just like the game.
[Yes, master. Her Blessings can heal wounds, purify poison, restore plants and nearly dead beings. It can also increase stamina and recovery.]
'That's actually a cool stuff to have in this kind of world.'
[Then there is Thanor, the God of Death and Darkness]
[His Blessings can let someone speak to spirits, sense lies at the soul level, induce silence or fear, protect against undead, and even summon netherworld beings.]
'Okay, that's actually badass.' Leo was impressed.
[There is also God of Fire, Ignisar.]
'Fire powers, I assume?'
[Yes, master. You can control fire, become heat resistant, and so on and so forth. Imagination is the limit master.]
[Next we have Goddess Ganga, the controller of water.]
[Water shaping, underwater breathing, poison purification, summoning rainfall and what not. If there is a drop of water, they can control it.]
[We also have Thorug, The God of Thunder.]
"Sounds like someone I have heard of."
[Lightning attacks, super speed, storm calling, and thunder-enhanced strikes. All on your fingertips.]
[Then there is the Goddess of Knowledge, Goddess Saraswati.]
[Perfect memory, language mastery, making strategies, running a kingdom, or improving a spell. With her blessing, you are sure to climb the Feudal hierarchy in this world.]
[We also have Verduron, the God of Earth.]
[If you have his blessing, you can make earth spikes, stone armor, shape boulders, and increase durability.]
"I knew it," Leo grinned.
[There is then, Zephyron, God of Wind]
[Wind blades, glide jumps, extreme agility, and long-distance whisper communication. They are the best scouts imaginable.]
[Then we have, Morvayne, the God of War and Valor.]
"Ohh! The one every dumb noble boy is probably praying to."
[Berserker strength, weapon mastery, battle aura that inspires allies or terrifies enemies. You practically become the most feared person on the battlefield.]
"Yep. Definitely their favourite."
[Lastly we have Sylphira, the Goddess of Beasts.]
"Beast control?"
[Correct. Communication with beasts, spirit beast companions, enhanced predator senses, and even partial transformation such as claws or fangs. They are one of the most treasured people in a kingdom.]
After explaining everything to Leo, Aiva continued.
[There are other Gods and Goddesses as well. But from what I can gather, their blessings are very rare. And people don't generally worship them. They are a forgotten existence.]
'Hmmmm?' Leo raised an eyebrow.
'I don't see the name of Goddess Lysara. Don't tell me there is not a single bastard lusting after women in his world?'
[Goddess Lysara is... an entity of higher nature, Master. Her "Blessings" are more powerful and bypass the Gods of this puny world. My simple existence is proof of her powers. She is just too powerful.]
'Hehehehe… That Goddess, she has programmed you well. Defending her so passionately,' Leo grinned.

'Interesting.' Leo did not argue any further, 'So, everyone who gets the blessings receive the same lever of powers?'
[No, master. Blessings are graded on a scale from F to S,]
Aiva continued to throw data at him from her encyclopedia.
[An F-Grade Blessing is miniscule, often thought of as useless.]
[The Mana capacity that comes with it is barely enough for someone to keep their hands warm, or keep the vegetables fresh for a little longer.]
[Anything from E or D is considered satisfactory. One can join the government, in service of the king and lead a decent enough life. At least better than the commoners.]
[Those who get a C, B or A class blessing are in high demand. Their mana capacity is large, they can cast powerful spells, a single one of them can easily fight off a small battalion, or powerful beasts.]
[That is why, they often join adventurer guilds to go on adventurers or join the army and quickly climb up the ranks.]
[Whatever they do, they end up being at the top of the society.]
[But anything above A class is the true hero of the kingdom, a true powerhouse in the future. Even the kingdoms invest a lot in the,]
[The number of S-class heroes is the true power of a kingdom.]
'So one can get blessings only on their 18th birthday? Is it a once in a lifetime opportunity?'
[Not precisely. If an individual fails to receive a Blessing on their 18th birthday, they may try again on their next birthday.]
