Chapter - 39
Leo pressed his lips against Lady Seraphine's in a kiss fierce enough to steal breath.
There was nothing gentle about it. It was hunger, desperation, and pure sexual tension ripping through both of them like a damn explosion.
For a heartbeat, Seraphine stood frozen. The years of ingrained noble propriety screamed a final, desperate warning in her mind, "Stop… Push him away… You are a married noblewoman. This is wrong."
But the sound was distant, muffled by the roaring rush of blood in her ears.
"Mr Leo… Please… Stop…" She gasped into his mouth, barely a whisper caught between the kiss.
But Leo didn't pull back. He slid his hand into her hair, grabbed a fistful and held her close, deepening the kiss with absolute confidence. He took control like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Her hands fluttered up, trembling as they sought purchase on his shoulders. She meant to push him away.
