"You are mine now," Leo whispered in her ear, "You better not think of going back to that bastard lord."
Under his intense gaze, Lady Seraphine shivered, his voice seeping deep in her bones.
He sounded so dominant, and overbearing. His words felt like he wanted to own her, every part of her.
But for some unknown reason, this possessiveness of his stirred a chord inside of her. Instead of feeling disgusted and repulsed, it felt like the very thing her soul had been starving for all her life.
She had been a bird in a gilded cage for so long, groomed for silence, barely surviving through everyday fights on her own. But Leo's words were breaking those bars.
Her fingers tangled in his dark hair, pulling him closer, anchoring herself to the storm he brought with him. There was no more resistance, no more hesitation, only a desperate need to be consumed.
He gave her a quick, searing peck on the lips, sealing the vow.
