I froze in the doorway, clutching the towel tighter.

"You're... You're really persistent aren't you?" I asked immediately, my voice firmer than I felt. "I already told you Cassian, I'm not wearing that."

Cassian didn't blink. He just tilted his head slightly, eyes dragging over me once before returning to my face. "You are."

Heat flooded my cheeks. "I look ridiculous in it. Cyan only threw it in there to mess with me. I'm not—"

"You have thirty seconds," he said calmly, cutting me off. His voice was low, even, the kind of tone that left no room for negotiation. "Or I'll put it on you myself."

My mouth opened, then closed. The threat landed with quiet finality, the way everything Cassian said tended to.

He wasn't yelling. He didn't need to. That was what made it worse. I stood there, heart hammering, trying to hold onto some scrap of dignity while wearing nothing but a towel in front of the man I was stupidly, secretly in love with.
