Serena made her way to Abi's doctor office, she was already quite familiar with the doctor due to past relations the doctor had with her family. As she got to the doctor office, she waited for few minutes to collect her thoughts and herself emotionally before she eventually entered his office.
She was greeted by the doctor immediately "Good day Miss Serena, I have been expecting you since this afternoon."she had called the doctor earlier and told him of her plans to see him prior to her coming.
"Good afternoon Dr. Orion." Serena greeted him back.
"Please have your seat," he said as he gestured to one of the chairs "yes, concerning Abigail's heath."he began.
"We discovered from the scan results she did on Thursday that her lungs has started to scar from exessive coughing because of her pneumonia, like I had already explained to the manager and caregiver that came with her that day, she will need to come to the hospital more frequently than she use to for her medications."
"Doctor I already know all this, I want to know if we can just get the lung transplant done as soon as possible."
"That would not be easy Miss Serena, as it is hard to get a donor, and moreover we need the lung to match with hers."
"You can just use mine, please just get it done." Serena was already on the verge of tears.
"Do calm down now Miss Serena, it had not gotten to that stage yet, like I told you already luckily it was discovered on time and can be immediately treated with medications, and you know with your current state you can't donate to anyone." He added making Serena to take a deep breath.
"I know, but I just can't bear to see her go through this kind of a thing."
"Like I said it has not gotten to the point of panicking, I want you to calm down and consider your own heath, it is not something for you to give yourself hypertension over." the doctor assured her.
This time his words seems to have penetrated into Serena's heart as she finally sighed in relief,
"Thank you doctor."
"With that said Miss Serena, when will you come for a proper checkup?" Doctor Orion asked her worriedly, he knows her since when she was still a kid, when her mother was still battling with cancer, this made him worry more about her.
"I think it is time to focus on your own health and forget about other things." the man added.
"I will doctor… I will come, when I get want I want." Serena did not hesitate when she said this, she sounded so nonchalant.
"I've never seen someone play with their own health like you do." the doctor thought out loud.
"Well… lucky me then." Serena turned to leave the office with the doctor wondering why she was acting like this, she was never like this in the beginning he thought.
Serena took in the fresh breath of air as she finally walked out of the hospital, she was done with her task for today, she decided to head back home.
She walked to the parking lot, entered her car, she started the engine as she soon wound her way to her home, as she hit the road her mind replayed everything that happened today, as she thought today was both terrifying and chaotic but she was still in relief.
She was relief that the sickness was not life threatening to Abi, she turned on her music as she drived happily when she suddenly heard a loud crash sound, she looked up, her car had bumped into another car, she quickly turned down her ignition as she came down from the car to check if the people inside the car was alright.
As she approached the car, Serena suddenly exclaimed…
"Oh no, what have I done?" She said in panic, the car her car had hit was the latest Bugatti la voiture and it was black in colour, she does not know anything about cars but Kathy had been showing her the exact picture of this car that she had been trying to get but was not able to get as it was limited to a certain people, Kathy had been so obsessed with the car, that she would always shove the image of the car on her face every single day but this car was said to be produced for a single person in the whole of this world Serena wondered.
"How did her small Honda Civic do this." Serena thought as she observed the damage on the car "she was dead meat." She thought as she saw someone coming down from the car, she saw well polished black shoes first, before the man appeared completely dressed in black expensive looking suit.
"I'm done for." Serena thought as she mentally calculated her estimated wealth along with her grandparents wealth as she thought that it was still not enough.
"I'm done!" This time she said it aloud, she decided to bring out all her hidden cuteness to charm the man into letting the incident go after all, it was not entirely her fault, she was just unfortunate enough to be at the back of the car.
She faced the man as she smiled sweetly at him showing her white set of teeths "oh my goodness, my car had subtly grazed your car, please accept my apology." Serena said pleadingly, the man looked at her amused with her way of speaking.
"I'm not the one you should apologize to ma'am." He said as he turned and went in the direction of the passenger's seat.
"Wait!… he was not the owner of the car and he was dressed like this, what will the owner wear then?" Serena wondered as she gave a funny laugh under her breath "hehehe." She was really done for, she tried listening to the conversation the man was having but she could not hear a thing until the chauffeur pulled the passenger door open,
Serena felt the air around them stifling, as the mood in the atmosphere changed to a dangerous and gloomy mood.
She find herself standing upright as the man stepped out of the car, his every stride screamed of power and confidence, she found herself drawing back slowly before he could come close to her she was suddenly afraid for her life, when the man came in closer view to her.
Serena screamed "YOU!"
