'This isn't the Lobby!!' Kenneth yelled.
'I mean…' John interrupted, 'It has a counter, some baggage carts…'
'Yeah, but there's no one at the counter…' Skyler laughed. But it wasn't funny.
They were lost, in a strange floor.
'Hm, maybe I forgot how the lobby looked like?' Lin suggested.
The world seemed to spin now, Lin's memory was really fuzzed up. But now, Lin had a band aid, but it didn't seem to help much, it wouldn't stop bleeding.
'Ah!' Skyler screamed.
'What happened?' John asked.
'Ah… nothing…' Skyler lied again. 'Nothing…'
There was definitely something… something.
'Okay.' Kenneth spoke up, 'Why is the door locked, and why does it say, '001' because that, is not a bedroom.'
There was absolutely no sound for a few seconds, because Kenneth was right.
'Hm.' Lin hummed, 'Maybe this is a dream?'
'Nup! It's not.' John warned, 'It's right here and real here!'
The friends walked around the room touching paintings and opening drawers. When suddenly they realised there was another strange thing.
'Grrr!' Kenneth grunted, 'How is this cart so heavy?! There's nothing on it!'
Skyler wondered over to Kenneth. She was worried but also didn't really trust Kenneth's performance.
'Is it really that hard to push??' She questioned, 'Let me try.'
Kenneth got up and gave way for Skyler as she pushed it with barely any strength, totally underestimating the cart.
'Hm? That's weird.' Skyler commented, 'What did you do?'
'Nothing!!' Kenneth screamed.
Skyler gave a confused smile, and she walked away. Kenneth spotted a drawer on the other side of the cart so he decided to crouch through the cart. Kenneth slid open the drawer and completely froze.
'What's this?!' He shrieked, 'There's gold in here!!'
John, Skyler and Lin immediately turned to him and was in utter confusion. Kenneth was both scared and happy right now, because this could get them seriously rich. But before that would happen, they needed to escape from this hotel.
'What do you mean there's gold?' Lin asked, 'Look!! It's gold!!'
Skyler and Lin's immediately turned upside down.
'It's fake right?' Lin tested.
'Is this another one of your silly jokes?' Skyler asked.
Kenneth's mouth slammed open.
'Huhhh?? What do you mean?!' Kenneth yelled, 'It's gold!!'
John stared at the gold and couldn't say a thing, it was like he was paralysed of beauty.
'Really? It' really gold??' John asked.
Kenneth nodded. 'Uh huh! I think so…'
'Yeah right.' Skyler laughed, 'Wait…'
'Hang on!!' Lin screamed, 'That's real!!'
Skyler shuddered. She had never seen gold with hear own real eyes before.
'That's crazy!' Skyler celebrated, 'We could be rich!!'
'Yeah…' Kenneth replied, 'But that's only if we get out of here.'
Skyler and Lin looked at each other. The room was pretty much empty, not counting the definitely real gold.
'If there's a locked door…' John murmured, 'There's a key right?'
'Yeah, but that doesn't necessarily mean the key is here — In the rooms with us, right?' Lin stated.
Kenneth lowered his head. Maybe they should go back to the bedrooms and ring the bell for assistance out side their rooms.
'Huh. There isn't a freakin' key!!' Skyler shrieked.
'Guys! Maybe there'll be staff on out bedroom floor that can help!!' Kenneth suggested.
'Kenneth! That's it! Great idea!' Lin yelled with her face lighting up.
Skyler stood there watching Lin celebrate. She wasn't sure about that idea, she had saw a worker sneaking around just a few hours ago, with a badge with — LS. She wasn't sure what that meant, but it probably wasn't good, and she didn't want to find out either.
'Genius!' Lin celebrated, 'Now, which floor were we on again?'
'What?' John yelled.
'I said what floor were the bedrooms on again?' Lin yelled back.
'How do you not remember?!' John laughed,' That's what I meant.'
Lin usually had incredible memory, and now, she was acting a little, off. Weird. Strange.
'Floor 2.' Kenneth informed, 'Why don't you remember? You're supposed have insane memory!!'
Lin turned around and saddened.
'What?' Kenneth asked, 'Did I say something?'
'Nothing… Nothing.' Lin mumbled.
Skyler's body wanted to sweat so bad, she looked like she just came out of the shower. She was worried. Something was going on with Lin after the mysterious bite she had gotten on her face, and she knew Lin knew it herself too, seeing her miserable face.
Bzzt!
'Why isn't it working?!' Lin cried.
Kenneth walked into the elevator and gave it a big bump. He punched the elevator as hard as he could.
'WORK YOU ELEVATOR!!' Kenneth scolded.
'Dayum…' Lin whimpered.
'Going — Up.' The elevator buzzed.
'Come on get in!!' Lin called,
John and Skyler rushed into the elevator.
But Skyler was still doubting the idea, and she wouldn't trust a sneaky worker anyways.
'Floor — 2.' The elevator beeped.
The elevator stopped and the immediate response from all four friends was —
'Hey!!'
'This isn't floor 2… This is the exact same place we were just a second ago!!' Skyler yelled, 'With the locked key, a fire, paintings, and couches!'
Kenneth looked around confused looking for changes, but there were none, all of it was the same.
Suddenly, he heard something, he heard a shining sound from behind him. Kenneth turned around to spot a bright blue light that flashed right into his eyes.
'Ah!!' Kenneth screamed.
He peered at the light and walked towards it slowly.

'Kenneth?' John called.
Kenneth didn't turn around to respond. He crawled back, through the baggage cart and stood next to the drawer where he had just found the gold that would make them rich — after they escaped.
He stared at the wall with a pinboard.
He gasped.
'The — The Key!!' Kenneth screamed.
Kenneth blinked a few times, just to make sure he wasn't dreaming. But it was real, the light was shining on the key!!
'Guys! I found the key!!' Kenneth celebrated.
'Really? Let's go!' Lin screamed jumping into the air with joy.
Kenneth unlocked the door with '001' written on it, and that was still a problem. Why does it say '001?' And more importantly…
What was the bright blue light that had just lead Kenneth to finding the Key?
