There was a teeny tiny, very small, infinitesimal chance that Haley actually liked Deacon Roth. But for the record, Haley highly doubted that. She was probably confused about something else, and her mind had somehow taken that to mean she had feelings for Deacon.
That was it, that was the only thing she could think of that made sense.
So what if she was married to the guy, living with him, and now having regular sex with him?
It did not mean that she had to like him. Sure she had briefly considered the thought of staying married even after a year. But that still did not prove anything. Unfortunately for Haley though, her mind had clung on to the silly idea and was refusing to let it go.
Had it been anything else, Haley was confident that she would have been able to push it to the back of her mind and carry on with her days. But the idea was really, really bothering her.
