"where are we going?" Amelia asked as she got into the car, she was talking to Jake who was seated on the driver's seat. He frowned and smacked his lips, ignoring her question. She saw this and curved her lips, conjuring a pity face to appease him, but he frowned even harder..
She sighed; "look, i am sorry" she wailed Caressing his shoulder, but he shrugged her off and inserted the key into the ignition;
"I have been waiting here for two hours" he said and he turned the key, the car jerked into action, coughing off smork at first and maintaining a low rubble afterwards.
"I am sorry,i told you i was getting ready" she whined, caressing his shoulder more, he didn't shrug it off this time, she was getting to him.
He looked at her and sighed
"What were you even getting ready for anyways...you wasted all those time to put on a gown, hat and no make-up? What in the hell?"
"But you also forget my hair is laid and shiny" she said smiling and he looked at her hair__it really was shiny...she had washed and dyed it, because it wasn't it's normal colour...it was leaning into a dark blue shade, and the ornamentals...they were spectacular. So he grunted and kicked the car off by stepping on the clutch.
Zoom,!! It went off, racing on the roads towards an unknown location to Amelia. She sighed, she really didn't know where she was going and asking him would do no good because he wouldn't answer anyways...but she decided to ask him again, regardless of his grumpy mood.
"where are we going?"
"Where do you think?" He replied and sge looked at the road, noticing the route for the first time since they started thier journey...this route led to the outskirts of the city...they were heading towards the city of outlaws, Jake's home...Racoon city.
She gasped, preplexed...she didn't consent to this....i mean, yeah sure she did say she was intrigued and curious on what life looked like in the city, but she didn't think she would actually have had to go there on a whim...no! What if the criminals from a year ago recognized her___she tensed up and randomly hit the dashboard, alerting Jake who slowed down abpurtly to know what it was all about...
"I don't want to go there" she said with conviction... Jake sighed and parked the car on the road side, he opened the door, came out , went around the car and opened the door of the passanger's seat, where Amelia sat. She gazed at him in confusion...
"What are you doing?" She asked and he signalled her to come out, she did, with fear brewing up.
"Go drive Amelia, drive us to where you want to go...but just know, your stereotype on my home is hurting me bad" he said and jumped into the passanger seat, replacing her and shut the door with a huge bang.
Amelia was dumbfounded....what the hell? She hasn't even said a word, she quickly went around the car and sat on the driver seat, closing the door with a heavy bang too.
Silence followed, and for what seemed like a very long time they sat mute and idle in the car, clueless on what to do next.
"Look Jake" she said, breaking the scilence..
"You can't blame me for resenting such a place" she said and Jake gazed at her, a surprisingly soft gaze...he sighed and gulped down a huge ball of spit as if nervous to reply her.
"I know Rainbow, but i promise it's not what you think that's going there, i am from there and i will never tell you a lie!" He said nodding at her and she sighed, looking sceptical.
"But the gang activities..."
"There are gang issues everywhere Rainbow, the caban that chased us that night were from higher heights here, don't just profile the cuty based on News...they are just media manipulation tactics" he said and she sighed again.
She closed her eyes and opened them...she had made her decision...she would go to Racoon city to see for herself, Nothing would happen to her...Jake was here afterall.
"Ok...ok" she said and turned to Jake
"should i come down for you to drive"
"Oh no..no..drive" he replied and she started the car, zooming off, he sighed.... thank goodness the police didn't catch him with all those movements.
"Not our first Couple argument?"
"Shut up Jake"
